Abstract

Un instrumento de dos partes para leer y ajustar una válvula implantable, y los métodos de uso. Un instrumento para leer y cambiar la configuración de una válvula implantable; la válvula tiene una sección transversal externa y un rotor magnético interno con un campo magnético asociado; el instrumento comprende: un localizador-indicador con superficies superior e inferior opuestas, un vástago que se extiende desde la superficie superior, el vástago tiene un eje longitudinal orientado prácticamente perpendicular a la superficie superior, la superficie inferior incluye un receso biselado con una sección transversal interna que se adapta de manera complementaria a la sección transversal externa de la válvula, el receso biselado está adaptado para colocarlo cerca de la válvula en una orientación rotacional única alrededor del eje, el eje se extiende por el rotor; un indicador magnético que se acopla rotativamente alrededor del eje entre la superficie superior y la inferior, el indicador está adaptado para girar por acción del campo magnético del rotor y en orientación a éste; y un ajustador magnético que se acopla deslizándose a lo largo del eje sobre el vástago, el ajustador tiene un campo magnético adaptado para girar el rotor alrededor del eje en respuesta a la rotación del ajustador alrededor del eje, para cambiar la configuración de la válvula.
