Abstract
1.- Un proceso para producir continuamente dióxido de cloro comprende las etapas de:alimentar continuamente un reactor con ácido, un agente reductor y un clorato de metal álcali; hacer reaccionar el clorato de metal álcali con el ácido y el agente de reducción para formar un vapor de producto que contiene dióxido de cloro y la sal de metal álcali de ácido.; y, llevar dicho vapor de producto del reactor a una torre de absorción, en donde esta se conecta con un flujo de agua para formar una solución acuosa que contiene dióxido de cloro .2.- Un proceso como se reivindicó en la reivindicación 1, en donde la solución acuosa que contiene dióxido de cloro tiene una concentración de este de aproximadamente 4 a aproximadamente 12 g/l.3.- Un proceso como se reivindica en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 2, en donde la concentración de CIO2 en la solución acuosa se mantiene independiente y substancialmente constante de el índice de producción de dióxido de cloro al ajustar el flujo de agua a la torre de absorción.4.- Un proceso como se reivindica en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 3, en donde el gas no absorbido de la torre de absorción se retira mediante una tobera, creando una presión subatmosférica en el reactor y la torre de absorción.5.- Un proceso como se reivindica en cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1 a 4, en donde el reactor se opera en una presión de aproximadamente 30 a aproximadamente 100 kPa.1.
