Abstract

Una estructura absorbente compuesta que comprende: a. una primera capa de transmisión que comprende fibras humedecibles, en donde la primera capa de humedecimiento exhibe un valor de tasa de flujo de líquido vertical a una altura de 15 centímetros de por lo menos de 0,08 gramos de líquido por minuto por gramo de estructura absorbente por longitud de metro de la primera capa de transmisión; b. una segunda capa de retención que comprende un material polimérico formado de hidrogel; y c. un agente unidor para unir dicha primera capa de transmisión y dicha segunda capa de retención para formar una estructura absorbente compuesta que tiene una proporción de intimidad de contacto mínima para proporcionar una función de transporte de líquido y una función de retención de líquido de manera que la primera capa de transmisión y la segunda capa de retención estén combinadas juntas en una manera para obtener un contacto para lograr las funciones de transporte de líquido y de retención de líquido a una longitud de por lo menos de 15 centímetros, una capacidad saturada de por lo menos 5 gramos del líquido por gramo de estructura absorbente compuesta, y una capacidad absorbente a 15 centímetros de por lo menos de 5 gramos de líquido por gramo de la segunda capa de retención.1Un método para formar una estructura absorbente compuesta, que comprende:a. proporcionar una primera capa de transmisión de fibras celulósicas humedecibles, en donde la primera capa de transmisión exhibe un valor de tasa de flujo de líquido vertical a una altura de 15 centímetros de por lo menos de 0,08 gramos de líquido por minuto por gramo de estructura absorbente por metro de longitud de la primera capa de transmisión; b. proporcionar una segunda capa de retención de un material superabsorbente polimérico formador de hidrogel; c. proporcionar un agente unidor para unir dicha primera capa de transmisión y dicha segunda capa de retención; y d. combinar dicha primera capa de transmisión, dicha segunda capa de retención, y dicho agente unidor para formar una estructura absorbente compuesta que tiene una proporción de intimidad de contacto mínima para proporcionar una función de transporte de líquido y una función de retención de líquido de manera que la primera capa de transmisión y la segunda capa de retención estén combinadas juntas en una manera para obtener un contacto para lograr las funciones de transporte de líquido y de retención de líquido a una longitud de por lo menos de 15 centímetros, una capacidad saturada de por lo menos de 5 gramos del líquido por gramo de una estructura absorbente compuesta, y una capacidad absorbente a 15 centímetros de por lo menos 5 gramos de líquido por gramo de una segunda capa de retención.
