A process for preparing a compound according to claim 1 where R2 is H, and R6 is different from hydrazine, which comprises: (a) reacting a 2-methane-sulfonylpyrimidine of formula (II): with a 4-aminopyridine of formula (III): in a solvent and in the presence of a base; or (b) reacting a 2.aminopyrinidine of the formula (VII): with a 4-fluoropyridine (VIII): in a solvent and in the presence of a base.
