Este dispositivo comprende al menos un componente óptico, que tiene un lente y un filtro, una fuente de luz azul y una infrarroja, un componente electrónico que incluye un detector de ganancia programable que recibe las señales del componente óptico que son acondicionadas y luego procesadas por el microcontrolador para estimar la concentración de fitoplancton.
