Abstract
Entre las prácticas en los cultivos de plátano y banano se tiene el deshije, descoline o desmache, que se realiza manualmente mediante un corte a ras de suelo, para eliminar los brotes no correspondientes al ciclo programado para la plantación. Esta labor presenta algunos efectos colaterales, como heridas en la planta madre, facilitando la entrada y proliferación de plagas y patógenos, propagación de bacterias y virus por la inadecuada o nula desinfestación de la herramienta e ineficiencia de la labor, con consecuencia en el costo de la misma. Para solucionar estos problemas, la presente invención proporciona un dispositivo mecánico para realizar la labor de descoline, deshije o desmache de plátano y banano, integrando el corte individual de los brotes indeseados, el deterioro de la yema apical de cada hijo, la aplicación de desinfectante sobre el corte realizado y la herramienta, y la segmentación en trozos del vástago o seudotallo del colino eliminado. Con dicha integración, se eliminan los daños a la planta madre y las posibilidades de rebrote, se disminuye la transmisión de patógenos de plantas enfermas a sanas, y se acelera el proceso de descomposición de los vástagos de los hijos eliminados.Among the practices in banana and banana crops, there is the de-icing, de-thinning or desmache, which is done manually by means of a cut at ground level, to eliminate outbreaks not corresponding to the cycle programmed for planting.
