Abstract
固定密封表面上的若干同心密封环当和聚四氟乙烯薄膜或类似材料一起使用时,可提供可靠的密封。这种材料在压力作用下具有冷流的趋势,进入由同心密封环所形成的槽内。
Description
本发明涉及在由两个单独半部组成的室内密封易挥发流体的装置。
现有的对有两个单独半部组成的室的壳体的密封方法一般是采用粘着材料、衬垫和O型环。每种现有的密封方法都存在泄漏、密封件的整体或密封件在室内被流体腐蚀和分离的缺点。已经研究出用聚四氟乙烯塑料薄膜或类似材料密封所述室壳体的两半部。然而,聚四氟乙烯和类似材料当室壳体的两半部互相夹紧时,有“冷流”的趋势或被挤出。本发明在不使用粘着剂、垫圈等情况下,密封壳体的两个半部,从而解决聚四氟乙烯从密封区域“冷流”所产生的问题。
在固定密封表面上的若干同心密封环,当和具有在压力下有冷流趋势的聚四氟乙烯或类似材料共同使用时,产生可靠的密封。
图1是流体室壳体的分解图,表示了本发明的聚四氟乙烯密封件和同心密封环;
图2是紧靠近同心密封环区域的放大图。
参照图1,由两个半部11和12组成的流体室10由若干螺钉13紧固在一起。每一半部11或12有一个固定密封面14。在固定密封面14的内边缘配置有若干凸起的同心环15。一个垫圈16,如用聚四氟乙烯或类似材料,在两半部11和12紧固在一起时,被压紧而不受流体的侵蚀。
现参照图2,下面将叙述同心密封环15的作用。当聚四氟乙烯垫圈16被压在两半部11和12之间后,被迫沿图中箭头方向进入由同心密封环15形成的槽18中。本发明利用了聚四氟乙烯类似材料的冷流特性。聚四氟乙烯或类似材料被夹挤在模18内。这样夹挤垫圈部分的密度增加,从而形成可靠的密封。
上面叙述了本发明的较佳实施例,可以理解到,上述的文字叙述并不对本发明加以限制,任何在本发明构思范围的改变都不会超出本发明的实际范围。
Claims (1)
- 一种在流体室的两半部之间提供密封的装置,其特征在于包括:一个由两半部组成的流体室壳体,每个半部有一个固定的密封表面,当所述固定密封表面借助于压力挤压在一起时,所述壳体具有内部空间,若干凸起的同心环配置在每个所述固定密封表面上,形成槽的所述环之间有间隔,当壳体由压力挤压在一起时,垫圈材料被迫压入所述槽内。
