Abstract

本实用新型公开一种线缆连接器,其包括有绝缘本体(10)、一对分别安装在该绝缘本体上的端子模组(12)、连接于端子模组的线缆终端(14)、固定在两端子模组间的绝缘体(16)及盖体18,绝缘本体设有两狭槽(30),每一端子模组具有绝缘基体(32)、若干端子(34)及固定在基体上的接地片(38),线缆终端具有若干导线(60)及包围在导线外部的对应数量的金属网(62),导线电性连接于端子,金属网则电性连接于接地片,将端子及接地片固定在绝缘基体上之后,再将端子模组插入对应的狭槽中,绝缘体固定在两排端子之间并抵压线缆,以防止两排端子因受线缆的牵引而向彼此倾斜。

线缆连接器
【技术领域】
本实用新型是一种具有预设端子模组的电连接器,尤其是指一种具有将预设端子模组固定在绝缘本体上的装置的线缆连接器。
【背景技术】
目前所用的线缆连接器是先将端子固定在连接器本体内,再将线缆直接或通过连接器本体内的印刷电路板端接于对应的端子。但是此种技术手段只适用于具有少数导线且具有较大端接区域的简单线缆连接器,当线缆连接器具有大量且尺寸较小的导线时,将线缆直接或间接端接在连接器本体内对应的端子上会很困难。而且对于具有大量信号端子及接地端子的高速、高密度的线缆连接器而言,将大量端子固定在连接器本体内并使之与对应导线端接会不方便且不经济,当有端子定位或端接不准确时,维修困难且成本高,甚至有可能将整个线缆连接器破坏。因此,该线缆连接器实有进一步改进的必要。
【发明内容】
本实用新型的目的在于提供一种线缆连接器,其具有预设端子模组,以方便将端子组装在绝缘本体内,还具有可防止端子倾斜的装置,以降低成本。
为实现上述目的,本实用新型采用如下技术方案:本实用新型的线缆连接器包括有绝缘本体、至少一端子模组、若干具有导线的线缆及组装在绝缘本体上的盖体,其中端子模组具有一绝缘基体及若干固定在该基体上的端子,线缆的导线电性连接于端子模组对应的端子上而组成一个整体插入绝缘本体中。
具有上述特征的线缆连接器进一步包括有绝缘体,其中绝缘本体至少设有一狭槽,端子模组的基体固定有一接地片,线缆的导线外部包围有金属网,该金属网电性连接于对应的接地片上。绝缘体抵压端子模组接地片的尾部,以防止端子模组倾斜。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型线缆连接器通过将线缆连接于端子模组对应的端子上而组成一个整体插入绝缘本体中,使其组装方便,以降低成本。

【具体实施方式】
请参照图1、图2、图3及图4所示,本实用新型的线缆连接器1包括一绝缘本体10、分别组装在该绝缘本体10上的端子模组12、一具有两排连接于端子模组12的线缆的线缆终端14、一固定在两排线缆间的绝缘体16及组装在绝缘本体10上用以固定绝缘体16及线缆终端14的盖体18。绝缘本体10的前部20设有收容对接连接器(未图示)的对接端口22,后部24设有一空间26,而中部28则设有两狭槽30。每一端子模组12包括有一绝缘基体32、若干信号端子34及一接地片38,信号端子34及接地片38分别固定在基体32的两相对面上。每一接地片38上设有一对自基体32向外延伸的舌片42及位于两舌片42间的槽口47。基体32的一相对表面上设有一长形肋板44,其另一相对表面上则设有一挡块45。该挡块45穿过接地片38的槽口47,以将接地片38固定在绝缘基体32上,舌片42及肋板44分别抵接在绝缘体10中部28的肩部48、46上,以在前后方向上将端子模组12固定在绝缘本体10的中部28上。端子模组12固定在绝缘本体10上后,其前端50及尾端52分别凸伸入绝缘本体10的对接端口22及空间26内。端子尾部54及接地片尾部56均向后延伸入绝缘本体10的空间26内。
线缆终端14包括有排列成两排的若干线缆58及将线缆58捆扎在一起的应力缓冲装置59。每一线缆58包括有一导线60及一间隔包围在导线60外部的金属网62,导线60以焊接方式或IDC方式电性连接于端子尾部54,而金属网62则以焊接方式或IDC方式电性连接于接地片尾部56。绝缘体16固定在端子模组12的尾端52之间并抵压接地片尾部56,以防止端子模组12因受线缆58的牵引而倾斜。盖体18在端子模组12、线缆终端14及绝缘体16组装在绝缘本体10上后固定在绝缘本体10的后部24上,以将端子模组12、线缆终端14及绝缘体16固持在盖体与绝缘本体之间。
组装时,先将端子34及接地片38固定在端子模组12对应的基体32上,再将线缆58电性连接于端子模组12对应的端子34及接地片38上,接着将端子模组12及线缆58作为一个整体插入绝缘本体10中,然后将绝缘体16固定在两排线缆58之间,将应力缓冲装置59固定在线缆58上并将线缆58捆扎成一束,最后将盖体固定在绝缘本体10上。
绝缘体16与绝缘本体10最好分别制造,但是在不影响将端子模组12及线缆终端14一体组装在绝缘本体10上时,也可将绝缘体16与绝缘本体10一体制造。基体32与绝缘本体10最好分别制造,也可将基体32与绝缘本体10作为一个绝缘单元一体制造,再将端子34及接地片38组装在该绝缘单元上。
相较于现有的技术,本实用新型具有如下优点,制成端子模组12及将端子模组12插入绝缘本体10比直接将端子插入绝缘本体10容易;因受绝缘本体10的限制,在绝缘本体10的外部将线缆58电性连接于对应的端子34比在绝缘本体10的内部连接容易。因此,本实用新型的连接器可以降低成本。

Claims (7)

1.一种线缆连接器,包括有绝缘本体、至少一端子模组、若干具有导线的线缆及组装在绝缘本体上的盖体,其中端子模组具有一绝缘基体及若干固定在该基体上的端子;其特征在于:线缆的导线电性连接于端子模组对应的端子上而组成一个整体插入绝缘本体中。
2.如权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:端子模组至少具有一固定在绝缘基体上的接地构件,每一线缆具有一遮蔽构件,该遮蔽构件电性连接于该接地构件。
3.如权利要求1所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体的前部设有收容对接连接器的对接端口,后部设有一空间,而其中部则至少设有一连接对接端口与空间的狭槽,端子模组固定在该狭槽中,端子模组的前端与尾端分别延伸至对接端口与空间内。
4.如权利要求3所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:其中绝缘本体设有两肩部,端子模组上设有两突块,该两突块在前后方向上分别抵接于上述两肩部,以将端子模组固定在绝缘本体上。
5.如权利要求4所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:一突块为自接地构件向外延伸的舌片,而另一突块为绝缘基体上的肋板。
6.如权利要求3所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:绝缘体抵压端子模组的尾端,以防止端子模组倾斜。
7.如权利要求6所述的线缆连接器,其特征在于:其进一步包括有将线缆捆扎成一束的应力缓冲装置。
