A side-opening carton for facilitating access to a cigarette pack as in claim 2 wherein: the box comprises a box body (1), and is characterized by further comprising a baffle (13) arranged at the inner side of an opening (111) at the side surface of the box body (1), wherein the locking part is an inserting plate (23) which is arranged at the end part of the side cover (22) and can be bent inwards, and the limiting part is an inserting hole (131) which is arranged on the baffle (13) and is used for inserting the inserting plate (23).
