The present utility model proposes an end cap module 100 for an oral care implement.
In an embodiment of the present utility model, referring to fig. 1 to 6, an end cap module 100 of the oral care implement is used for covering an opening 60 at a lower end of a handle 200 of the oral care implement, and the end cap module 100 of the oral care implement includes an insulating cover 10, a metal end cap 20 fixedly connected with a bottom wall of the insulating cover 10, and an electrical connector 30; an insulating cover 10 for connection to the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement, the metal end cap 20 covering the outside of the bottom wall of the insulating cover 10; the insulating sealing cover 10 is provided with a mounting seat 11, the metal end cover 20 is provided with a mounting hole 21 corresponding to the mounting seat 11, and the mounting seat 11 is embedded in the mounting hole 21; the electrical connector 30 is inserted in the mounting seat 11 in a sealing manner and is exposed out of the metal end cover 20.
Oral care implements refer to implements for cleaning the oral cavity, maintaining oral health, including electric toothbrushes, mouthwashes, and the like. The end cap module 100 covers the opening 60 in the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement, preventing dust or water from entering the body of the oral care implement. The handle 200 of the oral care implement is a component that is held by a user and is used to adjust the direction in which the oral care implement acts.
The insulating cover 10 is generally made of a non-conductive material such as plastic or silicone. Since many parts are provided on the insulating cover 10, plastic which is convenient for shaping is adopted in this embodiment. The metal end cap 20 may be made of metal or alloy such as gold, silver, copper, iron, aluminum, etc. In view of limited grip strength in young and old, it is desirable to use a lightweight material such as aluminum alloy for the metal closure. Or stainless steel is used for the metal sealing cover in consideration of tightness and dirt resistance. The insulating cover 10 is attached to the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement, i.e., the insulating cover 10 is embedded in the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement, and the metal end cap 20 covers the outside of the bottom wall of the insulating cover 10 such that the insulating cover 10 is partially exposed to the handle 200 of the oral care implement. This isolates the insulating cover 10 from contact with water and prevents blackening and mildew. The metal end cap 20 protects the insulating cover 10 at the outermost layer and modifies the end cap module 100. The metal end cover 20 is fixedly connected with the insulating cover 10, and can be clamped, fastened, bonded and the like.
The electrical connector 30 is a component that is connected to an external power source or charging device to deliver electrical energy to the battery of the oral care implement. In this embodiment, magnetic charging is adopted, and the electrical connector 30 is a spring pin. Compared with other connecting pieces, the spring needle has longer service life, and the stability of current can be improved to the greatest extent through the design of contacting the inside of the stitch. The mounting seat 11 is embedded in the mounting hole 21, which means that the mounting seat 11 passes through the mounting hole 21 on the metal end cover 20, and part of the mounting seat 11 exceeds the bottom wall surface of the metal end cover 20. This is because the electrical connector 30 needs to be exposed to the metal end cap 20 to allow for convenient charging of the oral care implement. The electrical connector 30 is inserted into the mounting seat 11 in a sealing manner, so that water can be prevented from penetrating into the end cover module 100 from the joint of the electrical connector 30 and the mounting seat 11.
The present utility model provides an end cap module 100 for an oral care implement. The end cap module 100 includes an insulating cover 10, a metal end cap 20 fixedly connected to a bottom wall of the insulating cover 10, and an electrical connector 30. The insulating cover 10 can block heat generated by connection of the connector with an external power supply on one hand, and can eliminate potential leakage hazards caused by water leakage of the charging port on the other hand. The metal cap 20 covers the outside of the bottom wall of the insulating cover 10, which can insulate the insulating cover 10 from air and water, preventing blackening and mildew of the insulating cover 10. The metal end cap can also cooperate with the metal housing to provide the oral care implement with a metallic luster in appearance. The mounting seat 11 is embedded in the mounting hole 21, and the electric connector 30 is inserted into the mounting seat 11 in a sealing manner, so that external water cannot permeate into the end cover module 100 through the connection part of the mounting seat 11 and the metal end cover 20 or the connection part of the mounting seat 11 and the electric connector 30. The electrical connector 30 is exposed to the metal end cap 20 to facilitate charging of the oral care implement.
In an embodiment, referring to fig. 4, 7 and 8, the metal end cap 20 is provided with a first groove 22 around the outer circumference of the mounting hole 21, the first groove 22 being disposed upward; the insulating sealing cover 10 is provided with a first bulge 12 corresponding to the first groove 22, and the first bulge 12 is embedded in the first groove 22; the end cap module 100 further includes a first seal portion disposed at the junction of the first protrusion 12 and the first recess 22.
The first sealing part comprises a sealing ring, glue and other parts which enable water at the gap to be unable to enter. Optionally, the first sealing portion is glue. Because the glue has fluidity, it is more suitable to fill the slit sufficiently. In the case of only the first groove 22, dropping glue into the first groove 22 may cause uneven dropping glue, thereby resulting in poor sealing effect; or the required glue dropping amount is too large, the glue dropping speed is not easy to control, so that the glue drops too much and overflows the first groove 22, and the material is wasted or the places which do not need to be glued are glued. In this embodiment, the first recess 22 and the first protrusion 12 form a dispensing slot when they are connected together. Glue can be coated in the glue dispensing groove in a dispensing mode, so that the glue can uniformly fill gaps, and glue overflow cannot be caused, so that glue is wasted or other parts are affected. The first sealing part in this embodiment can block external water from entering the end cap module 100 from the mounting hole 21.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 1, 2, and 4-8, the metal end cap 20 includes a central region 23 and an edge region 24, the top surface of the central region 23 being recessed downwardly relative to the edge region 24 to form a mounting slot 231; the insulating cover 10 comprises a base 13 and a surrounding wall 14 extending upwards from the periphery of the base 13, the base 13 is arranged in the mounting groove 231, and the surrounding wall 14 is used for being embedded in the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement; the enclosure wall 14 comprises a flange 141 projecting outwards with respect to the bottom plate 13 and located above the bottom plate 13, the flange 141 being in abutment downwards with the edge zone 24; the first groove 22 is formed on the bottom surface of the mounting groove 231; the edge area 24 is provided with an upward second groove 241; the flange 141 forms a second protrusion 1411 corresponding to the second groove 241, and the second protrusion 1411 is embedded in the second groove 241; the end cap module 100 further includes a second sealing portion provided at the junction of the second protrusion 1411 and the second groove 241.
The wall 14 is embedded in the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement, and the wall 14 can be inserted, clamped, bonded, etc. with the handle 200 of the oral care implement.
The second sealing part comprises a sealing ring, glue and other parts which enable water at the gap to be unable to enter. Optionally, the second sealing portion is glue. Because the glue has fluidity, it is more suitable to fill the slit sufficiently. In the case of only the second groove 241, dropping glue into the second groove 241 may cause uneven dropping of glue, thereby resulting in poor sealing effect; or the required glue dropping amount is too large, so that the glue dropping speed is not easy to control, the glue drops too much and overflows the second groove 241, and the material is wasted or the places which do not need to be glued are glued. In this embodiment, the second grooves 241 and the second protrusions 1411 form dispensing grooves when they are connected together. Glue can be coated in the glue dispensing groove in a dispensing mode, so that the glue can uniformly fill gaps, and glue overflow cannot be caused, so that glue is wasted or other parts are affected. The second sealing portion in this embodiment can block external water from entering the end cap module 100 from the junction of the metal end cap 20 and the insulating cover 10.
In this embodiment, the first groove 22 and the second groove 241 have dual waterproof functions, the first groove 22 prevents water from entering the end cap module 100 from the mounting hole 21, and the second groove 241 prevents water from entering the end cap module 100 from the junction of the metal end cap 20 and the plastic cover 10. In addition, the first groove 22 in the present embodiment is formed on the top surface of the bottom wall of the mounting groove 231, and the second groove 241 is formed on the edge region 24, so that there is a height difference between the position of the first groove 22 and the position of the second groove 241. In the case where both the first groove 22 and the second groove 241 are opened at the top surface of the bottom wall of the installation groove 231, water may flow to both the second groove 241 and the first groove 22 after entering the end cap module 100. In the present embodiment, the second groove 241 is located higher than the first groove 22, and water will flow to the second groove 241 after entering the end cap module 100. In this case, the second groove 241 has a barrier function. Only after overflowing the second groove 241 will the water flow to the first groove 22.
In an embodiment, referring to fig. 4 to 8, a third protrusion 242 is formed between the inner sidewall surface of the second groove 241 and the sidewall surface of the mounting groove 231; a third groove 1412 is formed between the inner side wall surface of the second boss 1411 and the outer peripheral surface of the bottom plate 13; the third protrusion 242 is embedded in the third groove 1412, and the end cap module 100 further includes a third sealing portion disposed at a connection portion between the third protrusion 242 and the third groove 1412.
The third groove 1412 and the third protrusion 242 also form a dispensing slot when connected. The third sealing part is preferably glue as is the case with the second sealing part.
The second groove 241 and the third groove 1412 form a double groove structure. This reduces the number of parts, but achieves a double waterproof effect. In the event that the second seal fails, the third seal may still prevent water from entering the end cap module 100 from the junction of the metal end cap 20 and the insulating cap 10.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 1, 2, and 4 to 6, the bottom wall surface of the mounting groove 231 is provided with at least two fixing members 25 extending upward at intervals along the circumferential direction of the metal end cap 20; the bottom plate 13 of the insulating sealing cover 10 is provided with a fixed matching piece 131 corresponding to the fixed piece 25; the end cap module 100 further includes a fourth sealing portion 40 disposed at the junction of the fixing member 25 and the fixing mating member 131.
The fixing member 25 and the fixing mating member 131 function to fixedly connect the insulating cover 10 and the metal cap 20. The connection mode can be detachable connection or non-detachable connection. The fixing member 25 and the fixing mating member 131 may be a snap and a snap groove, a nested fixing post 251, or the like. The fourth sealing part 40 includes a sealing ring, glue, etc. to prevent water from entering the gap. The fourth sealing portion 40 prevents water from penetrating into the end cap module 100 from the junction of the fixing member 25 and the fixing mating member 131.
In an embodiment, referring to fig. 1, 2, and 4 to 6, the fixing member 25 is a fixing post 251, and the fixing mating member 131 is a fixing hole 1311 for mating with the fixing post 251; the end cover module 100 further comprises a fourth sealing part 40 arranged around the fixing column 251, and the bottom plate 13 of the insulating sealing cover 10 is provided with a sealing groove 15 corresponding to the fourth sealing part 40; the fixing post 251 is embedded in the fixing hole 1311, and the fourth sealing portion 40 is embedded in the sealing groove 15.
The positioning posts are selected because they facilitate shaping of the metal end cap 20 as compared to a hook buckle. When the fixing member 25 is the fixing post 251, the fixing mating member 131 is the fixing hole 1311. The fixing column 251 is penetrated through the fixing hole 1311 and is locked by a screw, and glue is dropped into the fixing column 251 to realize water resistance.
In this embodiment, the fourth sealing portion 40 is preferably a waterproof gasket made of silica gel. The silica gel waterproof gasket has good waterproof effect on one hand, and can prevent water from entering the inside of the end cover module 100 through the fixing columns 251 or the connection parts of the fixing columns 251 and the fixing holes 1311; the waterproof gasket of silica gel is more elastic and has a certain damping effect.
Thus, when the waterproof function of the waterproof gasket of the silica gel fails, the drip gel in the fixing column 251 can play a waterproof role.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 1 and 2, seal groove 15 has a notch 151 facing third groove 1412 and communicating with third groove 1412.
The seal groove 15 has a notch 151 facing the third groove 1412 and communicates with the third groove 1412. When the third sealing portion is glue, the glue can be continuously dropped only toward the third groove 1412 by virtue of the fluidity of the glue, so that the glue can flow into the sealing groove 15 from the notch 151. This improves the sealing efficiency.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 4-6, the height of the fixing posts 251 is greater than the height of the surrounding wall 14 of the metallic end cap 20.
It is assumed that the amount of water permeated is equal. If the sealing action of the second sealing portion and the third sealing portion is failed and the height of the fixing post 251 is lower than the height of the surrounding wall 14 of the metal end cap 20, water may penetrate into the insulating cover 10 through the junction of the fixing post 251 and the fixing counterpart 131. In this embodiment, the height of the fixing post 251 is higher than the height of the surrounding wall 14 of the metal end cap 20. Even if the sealing action of the second sealing portion and the third sealing portion fails, an equal amount of water only enters into the metal end cap 20, and does not penetrate into the insulating cover 10.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 1 and 2, the insulating cover 10 is provided with a waterproof vent 26, and the metal end cover 20 is provided with a vent 26 corresponding to the waterproof vent 26; the metal end cover 20 is provided with an upward fourth groove 232 around the periphery of the ventilation hole 26; the insulating sealing cover 10 is provided with a fourth protrusion 132 corresponding to the fourth groove 232, and the fourth protrusion 132 is embedded in the fourth groove 232; the end cap module 100 further includes a fifth seal portion disposed at the junction of the fourth protrusion 132 and the fourth recess 232.
The ventilation holes 26 on the metal end cover 20 are matched with the waterproof ventilation holes 26 on the insulating cover 10, so that ventilation function is achieved. The fifth sealing part comprises a sealing ring, glue and other parts which can prevent water from entering the gap. In this embodiment, the fifth sealing portion is preferably glue. Because the glue has fluidity, it is more suitable to fill the slit sufficiently. In the case of only the fourth groove, dropping glue into the fourth groove may cause uneven dropping glue, thereby causing poor sealing effect; or the required glue dropping amount is too large, the glue dropping speed is not easy to control, so that the glue drops too much and overflows the fourth groove, and the material is wasted or the places which are not required to be glued are glued. In this embodiment, when the fourth groove and the fourth protrusion are connected together, a dispensing slot is formed. Glue can be coated in the glue dispensing groove in a dispensing mode, so that the glue can uniformly fill gaps, and glue overflow cannot be caused, so that glue is wasted or other parts are affected. The fifth sealing portion in this embodiment can prevent external water from entering the end cap module 100 from the air hole 26.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 2-6, the rim region 24 has an annular abutment surface around the periphery of the flange 141, the annular abutment surface being disposed upwardly for abutment with the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement.
The annular abutment surface of the rim region 24 abuts the lower end of the handle 200 of the oral care implement such that the plastic cover is completely covered by the metal end cap 20 and the housing of the oral care implement, reducing contact of the insulating cover 10 with ambient water and air, thereby preventing blackening and mildew of the insulating end cap. And the whole of the handle 200 has metallic luster, which is more beautiful.
In one embodiment, referring to fig. 1, 2, 7 and 8, the bottom surface portion of the metal end cap 20 is recessed upward to form a water-repellent space 27; the portion of the electrical connector 30 exposed to the mounting hole 21 is accommodated in the water-repellent space 27.
After the user uses the oral care implement, the oral care implement is typically placed upright on a washstand. When the metal end is planar, water remaining on the sink or handle 200 of the oral care implement may wet the electrical connector 30 exposed to the metal end cap 20, causing water to adhere to the end of the electrical connector 30 that is in contact with the charging dock. If the user carelessly connects the electrical connector 30 with water to the charging stand, the charging function of the oral care implement may be damaged. In the present embodiment, the central area 23 of the bottom surface of the metal end cap 20 is recessed upward to form a water-proof space 27, and the height of the electrical connector 30 is higher than the height of the end of the metal end surface. This allows the oral care implement to be placed upright on the washstand without wetting the electrical connector 30 with water.
