Description
Technical Field
The present utility model relates to a vehicle seat having a height adjustment device.
Background
Vehicle seats generally have a seat part and a backrest, wherein the seat part has a seat frame comprising two seat sides, which is connected to a base by rocker arms, each rocker arm being pivotably supported on one of the seat sides by a first hinge point and on the base by a second hinge point, the seat frame being height-adjustable relative to the base by means of any height adjustment mechanism, the rocker arms being pivotable about their respective hinge points upon such height adjustment. Examples of such vehicle seats are described in US 2005/01012395 A1, WO 20155516 A1 or US 2015/0239773 A1.
A disadvantage of such vehicle seats is that in the event of a crash, the components of the seat frame, in particular the seat sides, can move in the transverse direction due to the lateral forces acting. Thereby potentially causing deformation or distortion of the seat sides and other components of the seat frame. This in turn may cause damage to the base, for example when the swing arm hinged to the seat side pulls the base or its components upwards due to deformation of the seat side.
In order to avoid this as far as possible, it is proposed in US 2015/0035327 A1 to fix the catch element on the seat side by means of a fixing portion, wherein the catch element is constructed and arranged such that the respective rocker arm can be brought into contact with the catch element in the event of a crash, and the catch element subsequently counteracts a deformation of the respective rocker arm transversely to the longitudinal direction. Thus, additional catch elements are mounted to the seat side in order to "intercept" the movement of the respective rocker arm in the lateral direction.
Disclosure of Invention
An object of the present utility model is to provide a vehicle seat with a height adjustment device that is easy to construct and manufacture and that can be operated reliably.
According to the utility model, a guide piece with a guide slot is arranged in at least one of the two seat sides, wherein the guide piece is an integral component of the respective seat side, by means of which guide piece at least one of the rocker arms pivotably supported on the seat side extends through the guide slot in the guide piece in an intermediate region between its hinge points.
A simple solution for guiding the rocker arm is thus achieved in that the guide piece can be provided as an integral component of the respective seat side without an additional fastening step and without additional components being provided on the seat side. In this case, the rocker arm is prevented from moving in the transverse direction or at least made difficult to move in the transverse direction, so that damage to the base and/or the height adjustment mechanism connected to the seat side via the rocker arm is avoided, for example in the event of deformation or twisting of the seat side.
Furthermore, it is preferable that the guide pieces protrude from the surfaces of the respective seat sides vertically or in a horizontal plane. The structure for penetrating the respective rocker arm is thereby simplified and the respective rocker arm can be effectively supported on the side of the guide slot (for example, the elongate hole) when moving in the lateral direction, or forces from the respective rocker arm can be effectively introduced in the lateral direction into the guide piece and the seat side.
Furthermore, the guide groove preferably extends in the longitudinal direction between the front stop and the rear stop, in particular is embodied as an elongate hole in the guide piece. Thus, in the event of a crash, the movement of the rocker arm in the longitudinal direction can also be limited, in order to achieve a supporting effect in this direction as well. During normal operation of the vehicle seat, the rocker arm does not normally hit these stops and is free to move or is limited by other design measures. Preferably, during normal operation of the vehicle seat, the respective rocker arms protrude through the guide slots in the guide pieces without coming into contact with these guide pieces.
Furthermore, it is preferred that the guide piece is arranged at least in a front region of the respective seat side, by means of which guide piece a front rocker arm pivotably supported on the respective seat side by means of a first hinge point extends through a guide slot in the guide piece. Thus, at least one frontal lateral support is provided.
Furthermore, the guide tabs are preferably formed by shaping the respective seat side, wherein the seat side is preferably constructed as a sheet metal part. This allows for simple production, since no additional components are required, and only a simple molding process is required.
Drawings
The present utility model will be described in detail with reference to examples in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Wherein:
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a vehicle seat having a height adjustment mechanism;
FIGS. 2 and 3 are perspective views of the seat side of the vehicle seat of FIG. 1 at different height positions;
FIGS. 4 and 5 are side views of the seat side of FIGS. 3 and 4 at different height positions; the method comprises the steps of,
fig. 6 and 7 are bottom perspective views of the side of the seat shown in fig. 3 and 4.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 schematically shows a vehicle seat 1 with a seat part 1a and a backrest 1b, wherein the seat part 1a has a seat frame 2 comprising a seat side 3, as is shown in particular in detail in fig. 2 and 3. The seat frame 2 can be height-adjusted in a conventional manner with respect to the base 4 fixed to the bottom by the height adjustment mechanism H under the guidance of the swing arms 5 (i.e., the front swing arm 5a and the rear swing arm 5 b). In order to guide the seat frame 2 during the height adjustment, the respective rocker arm 5 is articulated to the seat side 3 by means of a first articulation point 6a and to the base 4 by means of a second articulation point 6 b.
The four-bar linkage formed by the rocker arms 5 is then operated, for example, as usual, by means of a motor-or manually-drivable pinion (not shown) which meshes with a gear ring (not shown) located on one of the rocker arms 5, for example on one of the rear rocker arms 5b, and thereby causes the rocker arms 5 to pivot. In this way, a targeted movement can be introduced into the seat frame 2, so that it can be lifted or lowered uniformly by means of this height adjustment mechanism H, guided by the rocker arm 5.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3 for one of the front rocker arms 5a, the front rocker arm 5a is articulated on the adapter 7 by its second articulation point 6 b. The adapter 7 is connected to an upper first rail element 8a which is guided in a longitudinally displaceable manner in a lower second rail element 8 b. As a supplement, the entire vehicle seat 1 can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction X by means of the rail elements 8a, 8 b.
In order to prevent serious damage to the height adjustment mechanism H and to the components of the seat frame 2 in the event of a crash due to forces acting laterally on the vehicle seat 1, guide tabs 12 are formed in the front region 3a in the seat side 3. Such guide tabs 12 are preferably located on both seat sides 3 of the seat frame 2. The guide tabs 12 project in the front region 3a perpendicularly or in a horizontal plane from the surface 3b of the respective seat side 3 and may have additional projections 12a at the edges.
The guide tabs 12 are integral parts of the respective seat side 3 and are produced, for example, by molding, from the respective plate-shaped seat side 3. This may be advantageous because the area of the seat side 3 below the guide tab 12 is generally unused and therefore may be disposed of as waste. Alternatively, this region may be advantageously used to form the guide sheet 12.
Guide grooves 13, for example elongated holes L, are introduced in the respective guide pieces 12. In this case, the front rocker 5a, which is also articulated to the respective seat side 3 via its first articulation point 6a, is situated in the guide channel 13 with its intermediate region (region between the articulation points 6a, 6 b). In this case, the guide slot 13 is dimensioned such that, during accident-free operation of the vehicle seat 1, the front rocker 5a can pivot freely during the height adjustment of the vehicle seat 1, and therefore does not strike or rest against the guide piece 12 in the longitudinal direction X or in the transverse direction Y, as is shown in fig. 4 to 7.
Furthermore, according to a not shown embodiment, it can be provided in addition that such guide tabs 12 are also integrated into the respective seat side 3 for the rear rocker 5b at the respective position, in which case the respective rear rocker 5b can also extend through the respective guide slot 13.
If such a lateral force acts on the vehicle seat 1 or the seat frame 2 such that the front rocker 5a (or alternatively also the rear rocker 5 b) is offset in the transverse direction Y relative to the seat side 3, for example by deformation of one of these components 3, 5a (5 b), the front rocker 5a (or alternatively also the rear rocker 5 b) bumps laterally with its central region against the side 14 of the guide slot 13. The front rocker arm 5a (or alternatively also the rear rocker arm 5 b) is thereby supported laterally or in the transverse direction Y and makes further movement in the transverse direction Y at least difficult, so that further deformations or damage of the height adjustment mechanism H and of the components of the seat frame 2 can be avoided as far as possible. However, if, in the event of a crash, the front rocker arm 5a (or alternatively also the rear rocker arm 5 b) strikes the front or rear stops 13a, 13b of the guide slot 13 in the middle region thereof, the force can also be absorbed in the longitudinal direction X.
