The board-to-board connector comprises a matched connector female end 10 and a matched connector male end 40 which are matched in a butt-plug manner, and the connector female end 10 and the connector male end 40 are respectively welded on circuit boards (such as a PCB board, an FPC board and the like) which are arranged in parallel in a corresponding manner so as to realize signal transmission between the two circuit boards after the connector female end 10 and the connector male end 40 are in the butt-plug manner. In this embodiment, a pair of slots 40a are disposed in the male connector end 40 along a mating direction, where the mating direction is a moving direction of the male connector end 40 toward the female connector end 10 or a moving direction of the female connector end 10 toward the male connector end 40 (i.e., a Z-axis direction as shown in the drawing), and the pair of slots 40a are opened toward the female connector end 10, so that the female connector end 10 can be inserted into the pair of slots 40a during mating, and then mated with the male connector end 40.
The female connector 10 includes a female housing 11 and a plug portion 20 formed in the female housing 11. In this embodiment, the female end assembly slots 21 and the female terminals 22 in the first female end power strip 20a are arranged in a one-to-one correspondence, and each female end assembly slot 21 and each female terminal 22 have the same structure, and the number of the female end assembly slots 21 and the female terminals 22 can be adaptively increased or decreased according to the use requirement, which is not particularly limited in this embodiment; it will be appreciated that in other embodiments, the number of female terminal fitting grooves 21 and female terminals 22 in the second female terminal strip 20b may be the same as the number of female terminal fitting grooves 21 and female terminals 22 in the first female terminal strip 20 a.
The female end assembly groove 21 includes a plugging groove 21a formed on the female end housing 11 penetrating the female end housing 11 in the plugging direction, and a female end clamping groove 21b provided in one-to-one correspondence with the plugging groove 21a and communicated with the plugging groove 21 a. The insertion groove 21a penetrates through the female end housing 11 along the Z-axis direction, the opposite insertion portion 50 is elastically opposite inserted into the insertion groove 21a, the female end clamping groove 21b is disposed at a side of the insertion groove 21a along the X-axis direction and is communicated with a corresponding end of the insertion groove 21a, and the female end clamping groove 21b is disposed on the female end first surface 11a and is communicated with the female end first surface 11a, so that the female end clamping groove 21b is opened at an end far away from the opposite insertion portion 50 (i.e., the female end clamping groove 21b is opened at the female end first surface 11 a), so that the female terminal 22 is conveniently inserted into the female end assembly groove 21 from the female end first surface 11 a.
The opening end of the female end clamping groove 21b is provided with a female end clamping groove 21c, the female end clamping groove 21c is provided with at least one side of the female end clamping groove 21b along the Y-axis direction and is communicated with the female end clamping groove 21b, and the female end clamping groove 21c is also opened on the female end first surface 11a, so that the corresponding position of the female terminal 22 can be downwards inserted from the female end first surface 11a and is in interference fit with the side wall of the female end clamping groove 21 c. In this embodiment, the female end clamping grooves 21c are provided on both sides (both sides along the Y-axis direction) of the female end clamping groove 21b, so as to perform multi-point clamping positioning on the female terminal 22, and increase the clamping stability of the female terminal 22. It should be understood that, in other embodiments, the female terminal 22 may be clamped by providing the female end clamping groove 21c on the side of the female end clamping groove 21b corresponding to the Y axis direction according to the processing difficulty or implementation requirement, or the female terminal 22 may be clamped and fixed by providing the female end clamping groove 21c on the side of the female end clamping groove 21b corresponding to the side away from the inserting groove 21a (the side along the X axis direction).
In this embodiment, the female terminal 22 is inserted into the insertion slot 21a from the opening end of the female end clamping slot 21b and is clamped and fixed to the side wall of the corresponding position of the female end clamping slot 21 c. The female end clamping groove 21c in this embodiment does not completely penetrate the female end housing 11, only a section of female end clamping groove 21c is provided on one side of the female end housing 11 near the female end first surface 11a along the Z-axis direction, and the female end clamping groove 21c is provided at the side of the female end clamping groove 21b, so that the female end clamping groove 21c has a groove bottom plane facing the open end thereof, and when the female terminal 22 is assembled, the groove bottom plane of the female end clamping groove 21c can abut against the female terminal 22 to limit the insertion depth of the female terminal 22, thereby preventing the female terminal 22 from penetrating out of the female end second surface 11b downwards, and limiting the female terminal 22 in the inserting groove 21a, so as to play a role in protecting the female terminal 22.
Preferably, a female end notch 21d is further disposed on the side of the female end housing 11 corresponding to the female end first surface 11a and is in communication with the female end first surface 11a, the female end notch 21d is disposed on the outer side of the female end clamping groove 21b along the Y axis direction, the female end notch 21d penetrates through the female end first sidewall of the female end housing 11 along the Y axis direction, and the female end first sidewall is disposed adjacent to the side of the female end first surface 11a along the Y axis direction, so that the female end clamping groove 21c is in communication with the female end first sidewall through the female end notch 21d, so that after the female terminal 22 is assembled in place, part of the female terminal 22 can be exposed on the female end first surface 11a and the female end first sidewall at the position of the female end notch 21d, so as to increase the exposed area of the female terminal 22, further increase the weldable area when the female terminal 22 is welded with a circuit board, and facilitate improving the welding strength of the female terminal 22 and the circuit board, and improving the connection reliability of the connector female terminal 10 and the circuit board.
As a preferred mode of this embodiment, the inner peripheral surface of the insertion groove 21a near one end of the opposite insertion portion 50 is provided with a limiting convex ring 23, and the limiting convex ring 23 is integrally formed by protruding inwards from the inner peripheral surface of the insertion groove 21a, that is, the inner diameter of the limiting convex ring 23 is smaller than the inner diameter of the insertion groove 21a, so that a limiting step can be formed at one end of the limiting convex ring 23 far from the opposite insertion portion 50, so as to further limit the insertion depth of the female terminal 22 in the insertion process, and prevent the female terminal 22 from penetrating out of the second surface 11b of the female terminal.
With continued reference to fig. 6 and 13, the female terminal 22 includes an elastic insertion portion 221 disposed in the insertion slot 21a, a female end clamping portion 222 disposed in the female end clamping slot 21b, and a connecting portion 223 connecting the elastic insertion portion 221 and the female end clamping portion 222. The elastic insertion part 221 can be expanded outwards when external force is applied, and can be automatically returned inwards to clamp a part placed in the elastic insertion part after the external force is eliminated, so that elastic connection with the part is realized; in this embodiment, the elastic inserting portion 221 may be elastically matched with the inserting portion 50, so that the elastic inserting portion 221 may have a certain floating space when the elastic inserting portion 221 is inserted into the inserting portion 50, and further, a small position error may be automatically corrected when the elastic inserting portion 221 is inserted into the inserting portion 50, so that each elastic inserting portion 221 is accurately aligned with the inserting portion 50.
The elastic insertion portion 221 includes a connection ring 2211 formed by winding, a plurality of elastic pieces 2212 integrally formed at one end of the connection ring 2211 away from the opposite insertion portion 50 along the circumferential direction, and the connection portion 223 is selectively connected to one of the elastic pieces 2212. The connection ring 2211 is disposed in the insertion groove 21a and corresponds to one end near the opposite insertion portion 50, one end of the elastic piece 2212 is connected to the connection ring 2211, the other end is inclined inwards gradually from the connection portion with the connection ring 2211, and one end of the elastic piece 2212 away from the connection ring 2211 can be forced to expand outwards and lose force to return inwards, so that when a component (a pin 522 described later in this embodiment) is inserted into the elastic insertion portion 221, the elastic piece 2212 can be propped against outwards, and the inserted pin 522 can be accommodated after the elastic piece 2212 is outwards opened, meanwhile, an inwards resilience force can be obtained by the elastic piece 2212 in the opening process, so that the pin 522 is pressed inwards, and the connection of the elastic insertion portion 221 and the pin 522 is realized. Because the one end that the shell fragment 2212 kept away from go-between 2211 is the slope setting for the inner peripheral face of a plurality of shell fragments 2212 can surround and form a variable cross-section's toper slot, the internal diameter that the toper slot is close to the one end of go-between 2211 can be equal to or greater than the diameter of contact pin 522, and reduces gradually in the direction of keeping away from go-between 2211 in the Z axle direction, and the internal diameter of the minimum department of toper slot is less than the diameter of contact pin 522, so that contact pin 522 can offset with the inner wall of shell fragment 2212 when inserting the toper slot, in order to realize the elastic contact of shell fragment 2212 and contact pin 522. The outer circumferential surfaces of the elastic pieces 2212 and the inner circumferential surfaces of the inserting grooves 21a form a yielding gap, and when the elastic pieces 2212 are outwards expanded due to outwards extrusion force, the yielding gap can provide a clearance space for the expansion movement of the elastic pieces 2212, so that the elastic pieces 2212 can outwards expand to accommodate the insertion of the pins 522.
In the present embodiment, three elastic pieces 2212 are disposed along the circumferential direction of the connection ring 2211, and the three elastic pieces 2212 can act on the pin 522 together to apply inward pressure to the pin 522 at the same time, so as to compress the pin 522. It will be appreciated that in other embodiments, the number of the spring plates 2212 may be two or other numbers, when the number of the spring plates 2212 is larger, the smaller the width (the dimension along the circumferential direction) of each spring plate 2212 is, the smaller the external force required for deformation is, so as to provide the smaller pressure on the pin 522, and when the number of the spring plates 2212 is smaller, the wider the width of each spring plate 2212 is, the larger the external force required for deformation is, so as to provide the larger pressure on the pin 522, and when the connection performance is in particular realized, the required number of the spring plates 2212 can be set according to the requirement of the connection performance so as to realize the elastic contact with the pin 522.
The female end clamping portion 222 includes a main body section 2221 disposed in the female end clamping groove 21b and a female end clamping section 2222 integrally extending from the main body section 2221 into the female end clamping groove 21c, and the main body section 2221 is connected to the connecting portion 223. At least one side wall of the female end clamping section 2222 corresponding to the female end clamping groove 21c is formed with a female end clamping block 2223 protruding towards the corresponding side wall, and the female end clamping block 2223 can abut against the side wall of the corresponding position of the female end clamping groove 21c to form a clamping point, so that the female end is fixed; specifically, the female end card 2223 is formed on a surface of the female end card section 2222 and protrudes from the surface, and a distance from a distal end of the female end card 2223 to a surface of the female end card 2223 on a side far away from the female end card 2223 (i.e., a surface on a side opposite to the surface on which the female end card 2223 is formed) is greater than a width of the female end card slot 21c in the X-axis direction, so that an interference fit is formed between the female end card section 2222 and the female end card slot 21c, and when the female terminal 22 is inserted into the female end assembly slot 21, the female end card 2223 approaches the female end card slot 21c along the Z-axis direction and moves downward against a sidewall on a side corresponding to the female end card slot 21c after contacting the female end card slot 21c, and simultaneously moves downward against a sidewall on a side of the female end card slot 21c on a surface corresponding to the other side of the female end card 2223, thereby fixing the female terminal 22 through the clamping function of the female end card slot 2223.
