Description

Hinge for movably supporting a furniture part relative to a furniture body, and piece of furniture
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a hinge for movably supporting a furniture part relative to a furniture body. The invention also relates to a piece of furniture having a furniture body and at least one furniture part, preferably a furniture door, wherein at least one such hinge is provided, with which the at least one furniture part is movably supported on the furniture body.
Background
From WO2021045700 a hinge for movably supporting a furniture part relative to a furniture body is known, which comprises: a first fitting for fastening to a furniture carcass, preferably designed as a hinge arm; a second fitting for fastening to a furniture part, which two fittings are pivotably connected to one another by at least one hinge lever, preferably the second fitting comprises a hinge cup; spring means by which the two fittings can be moved relative to one another over a pivot angle range into a closed end position and/or into an open end position of the hinge; a damping device, by means of which a movement of the two fitting parts relative to one another can be damped, wherein the damping device is arranged at least partially, in particular completely, within the first fitting part, and has a damper housing and a piston rod which is movable relative to the damper housing.
This hinge has a series of drawbacks.
The damping device is arranged in the first fitting part on an inner surface of the first fitting part. The space available for the damping device is limited on the one hand by the spring device and on the other hand by the adjusting screw of the hinge. As a result, only damping devices having a small damping path can be installed.
Naturally, one can also displace the adjusting screw in order to provide more space for the damping device. However, this has the disadvantage that the lever path for the adjustment is reduced.
Furthermore, the arrangement of the damping device in the first fitting results in: a large damping is provided at the beginning of the closing process of the hinge and a small damping is provided at the end of the closing process. However, the opposite cushioning characteristics are desirable.
A further disadvantage is caused by the fact that the spring device is arranged with a first end between the two hinge levers and with a second end on the pin of the first fitting. This results in a fixed predetermined closing force profile which is not optimally matched to the relative movement of the two fittings.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The object of the present invention is to provide a hinge which is improved with respect to the prior art, wherein the disadvantages known from the prior art are at least partially eliminated. Furthermore, a piece of furniture having such an improved hinge is to be specified.
The object is achieved by the features described below.
According to the invention, a hinge for movably supporting a furniture part relative to a furniture body comprises: a first fitting for fastening to a furniture carcass, preferably designed as a hinge arm; a second fitting for fastening to a furniture part, the first fitting and the second fitting being pivotably connected to one another by at least one hinge lever, the second fitting preferably comprising a hinge cup; spring means by which the first and second fitting parts can be moved relative to one another over a pivot angle range into a closed end position and/or into an open end position of the hinge; a damping device, by means of which a movement of the first fitting part and the second fitting part relative to each other can be damped, wherein the damping device is arranged at least partially, in particular completely, within the first fitting part, and wherein the damping device has a damper housing and a piston rod which is movable relative to the damper housing; according to a first aspect of the invention, it is provided that the first fitting has, in cross section, a base web and two lateral webs projecting laterally from the base web, wherein the damping device is arranged in the first fitting at an angle to the base web.
The oblique arrangement of the damping device provides a greater installation space for the damping device, as a result of which damping devices with a greater damping path can be used. As a result, less force is present in the damping device, which results in the components of the damping device being subjected to less stress, so that the service life of the damping device is increased.
In addition, the damping device can be controlled in such a way that, by the damping device being arranged at an angle, a small damping is provided at the beginning of the closing operation of the hinge and a large damping is provided at the end of the closing operation, as a result of which a more natural movement sequence of the furniture part supported by the at least one hinge on the furniture carcass is obtained.
Finally, when an adjusting device is provided adjacent to the damping device, the adjusting device can be arranged on the first fitting irrespective of the presence of the damping device, so that the function of the adjusting device is not impaired in comparison with a hinge without an adjusting device.
According to the invention, a hinge for movably supporting a furniture part relative to a furniture body comprises: a first fitting for fastening to a furniture carcass, preferably designed as a hinge arm; a second fitting for fastening to a furniture part, the first fitting and the second fitting being pivotably connected to one another by at least one hinge rod, preferably the second fitting comprising a hinge cup; spring means by which the first and second fitting parts can be moved relative to one another over a pivot angle range into a closed end position and/or into an open end position of the hinge; a damping device, by means of which a movement of the first fitting part and the second fitting part relative to one another can be damped, wherein the damping device is arranged at least partially, in particular completely, within the first fitting part, and has a damper housing and a piston rod which is movable relative to the damper housing; according to a second aspect of the invention, it is provided that the spring device has a first spring leg which is mounted movably on the at least one hinge lever in such a way that, during the relative movement of the first fitting part and the second fitting part, a relative movement occurs between the first spring leg and the at least one hinge lever at least in a partial range of the pivot angle range.
The relative movement enables the closing force profile provided by the spring device to be optimally adapted to the relative movement of the two fittings and the respective existing lever ratio.
If the first fitting part has a base web and two side webs projecting transversely from the base web in cross section and the damping device is arranged in the first fitting part at an angle to the base web, provision can be made according to a preferred embodiment for: the damping device is arranged at an angle of 10 ° to 30 ° with respect to the base strip of the first fitting and/or the damper housing has a first end close to the at least one hinge rod and a second end spaced apart from the hinge rod, wherein the second end is arranged at a greater distance from the base strip of the first fitting than the first end. In the angular range of 10 ° to 30 °, the advantages mentioned in connection with the first aspect of the invention can be optimized.
It has proved advantageous if the damper housing has a first end close to the at least one hinge rod and a second end spaced apart from the hinge rod, and the second end has an opening for the passage of the piston rod.
It has proven to be advantageous if the damper housing is arranged immovably in the first fitting, preferably if the damper housing is fastened to the first fitting via at least one, in particular exactly two, pins, and/or if the at least one hinge lever is connected rotatably to the first fitting via a hinge axis, and if the damper housing is fastened to the hinge axis, and/or if the damper housing has at least one mounting point, via which the damper housing is fastened to the first fitting, wherein the at least one mounting point is arranged offset with respect to a center plane of the damper housing.
A base part can be provided, via which the first fitting part can be connected to the furniture body, preferably: at least one adjusting device is provided, with which the inclination of the first fitting part relative to the base part can be adjusted, and a damping device is arranged in the first fitting part between the at least one hinge lever and the at least one adjusting device, and/or the damping device is arranged in the first fitting part at an angle to the base part.
It has proven advantageous if at least one slide or at least one rod is provided, which rests or can rest on or can be connected to the piston rod of the damping device or the damper housing and which can be moved by the at least one articulated lever relative to the first fitting during a relative movement of the first fitting and the second fitting; preferably, at least one control contour is provided, via which the at least one slider or the at least one lever can be controlled by the at least one articulated lever, preferably the at least one control contour is oriented obliquely with respect to the longitudinal extension of the damping device; and/or at least one catch, preferably in the form of a projection, is formed or provided on the at least one articulated lever, via which catch the at least one slider or the at least one lever can be moved by the at least one articulated lever; and/or the at least one slide or the at least one lever is mounted movably, in particular linearly movably, and/or pivotably on the damper housing.
The provision of a control contour which is oriented obliquely to the longitudinal extension of the damping device has the advantage that, when the damping device is loaded, a force is always exerted on the base web of the first fitting and thus a load change at the support of the damping device can be avoided over the entire damping path. Load shifting can lead to undesirable noise generation.
If the spring device has a first spring leg which is mounted movably on the at least one joint lever in such a way that, during a relative movement of the first fitting part and the second fitting part, at least in a partial range of the pivot angle range, a relative movement occurs between the first spring leg and the at least one joint lever, provision can be made for: at least one control contour, on which the first spring leg can be supported, is formed or provided on the at least one articulated lever; and/or at least one sliding element is provided on the at least one hinge lever and/or on the first spring leg, which sliding element is formed at least in some sections from a material, preferably plastic, having a reduced friction relative to the material of the at least one hinge lever and/or of the first spring leg; and/or a guide is formed or provided on the at least one hinge lever, which guide guides the first spring leg in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extension of the first fitting.
When at least one control contour is provided, the closing force profile can also be set better, so that, for example, a defined closing behavior of the furniture part can be set.
When at least one sliding element is provided, the friction occurring during the relative movement of the first spring leg and the at least one hinge lever can be reduced.
The at least one sliding element may also have a wedge for fitting the first spring leg of the guide spring device.
If a guide is formed or provided on the at least one hinge lever, the first spring leg can be guided more reliably when the first spring leg is moved relative to the at least one hinge lever and thus malfunction of the hinge can be avoided.
Alternatively or additionally, provision may be made for: the spring device has a first spring leg which is mounted movably on the at least one joint lever in such a way that, during a relative movement of the first fitting and the second fitting, a relative movement occurs between the first spring leg and the at least one joint lever at least in a partial range of the pivot angle range; and the spring device has a second spring leg which is supported or can be supported directly or indirectly on the first fitting, preferably on the base web of the first fitting, and/or is designed as a torsion spring, preferably the hinge has at least one pivot axis and the torsion spring is mounted on the at least one pivot axis.
Alternatively or additionally, the second spring leg can also be supported or fastened on the pin with which the damping device is fastened to the first fitting and/or on a further hinge lever of the hinge. In the case of support on the pin, this can be on the side of the pin close to the base strip of the first fitting or can be on the side of the pin remote from the base strip of the first fitting.
According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the at least one hinge lever is designed as an inner hinge lever and that at least one further outer hinge lever is provided.
It has proven to be advantageous if the hinge is designed as a four-pivot hinge and/or if the hinge has at least one U-shaped component which provides two pivot axes of the hinge, preferably on the second fitting part.
A piece of furniture having a furniture body and at least one furniture part, preferably a furniture door, is also claimed, wherein at least one hinge according to the invention is provided, with which the at least one furniture part can be movably supported on the furniture body.

Detailed Description
The hinge 1 shown in fig. 1, 2 and 3 for the movable mounting of a furniture part relative to a furniture carcass comprises a first fitting part 2 for fastening to the furniture carcass and a second fitting part 3 for fastening to the furniture carcass, wherein the first fitting part 2 is designed as a hinge arm and the second fitting part 3 comprises a hinge cup 34. The two fittings 2, 3 are pivotably connected to each other by means of hinge levers 4, 5.
A spring device 6 is provided, by means of which the two fittings 2, 3 can be moved relative to one another over a pivot angle range into the closed end position and/or the open end position of the hinge 1.
The hinge 1 comprises a damping device 7, by means of which movements of the two fitting parts 2, 3 relative to one another can be damped, wherein the damping device 7 is arranged at least partially, in particular completely, within the first fitting part 2. The damping device 7 has a damper housing 8 and a piston rod 9 which is movable relative to the damper housing 8, wherein the first fitting 2 has, in cross section, a base slat 10 and two side slats 11 which project laterally from the base slat 10, wherein the damping device 7 is arranged in the first fitting 2 at an angle relative to the base slat 10. The base strip 10 and the two side strips 11 can be formed in a U-shape in a cross section transverse to the longitudinal direction of the first fitting 2, preferably with the damping device 7 arranged within the U-shape.
The damping device 7 is arranged at an angle 13 of 10 ° to 30 ° relative to the base strip 10 of the first fitting 2 (see fig. 3).
The damper housing 8 has a first end 14 close to the hinge levers 4, 5 and a second end 15 spaced apart from the hinge levers, wherein the second end 15 is arranged at a greater distance from the base strip 10 of the first fitting 2 than the first end 14.
The damper housing 8 is arranged immovably in the first fitting 2, wherein the damper housing 8 is fixed to the first fitting 2 via at least one, in particular exactly two, pins 17.
The hinge lever 4 is rotatably connected to the first fitting 2 via a hinge shaft 18, and the damper housing 8 is fixed to the hinge shaft 18.
By the damper housing 8 being fixed on the pin 17 and on the hinge axis 18, it is achieved that the damper housing 8 is arranged immovably on the first fitting 2. Alternatively, two pins can also be provided, via which the damper housing 8 is arranged on the first fitting 2. It is also conceivable for the damper housing 8 to be fixed to the first fitting via only one pin. In this case, the damper housing 8 can be rotated about the pin, for example, during a damping stroke.
The damper housing 8 can have at least one mounting point 20, via which the damper housing 8 is fastened to the first fitting part 2, wherein the at least one mounting point 20 can be arranged offset with respect to a center plane of the damper housing 8. The offset arrangement of the mounting portion 20 with respect to the center plane has the following advantages: in the damping stroke, load changes can advantageously be avoided.
A lug 36 can be provided on the damper housing 8, via which lug the damper housing 8 can be held on the pin 17.
A base part 21 is provided, via which the first fitting part 2 can be connected to the furniture carcass, wherein an adjusting device 22 is provided, by means of which the inclination of the first fitting part 2 relative to the base part 21 can be adjusted. This inclination adjustment is converted in the furniture part arranged on the furniture carcass via the hinge 1 into a lateral displacement of the furniture carcass relative to the furniture carcass.
The adjusting device 22 can be designed, for example, as a rotatable actuating element which is held in a holding device 37 in the base part 21.
The damping device 7 is arranged in the first fitting part 2 between the hinge levers 4, 5 and the adjusting device 22 and is inclined to the base part 21.
A slide 23 or at least one rod is provided which bears or can bear against the piston rod 9 of the damping device 7 or the damper housing 8 or is connected to the piston rod 9 and which can be moved by the hinge lever 4 relative to the first fitting 2 when the two fittings 2, 3 are moved relative to one another.
The slide 23 can be at least partially U-shaped in cross section, wherein the two vertical sides of the U-shape are connected by a transverse web 38 (see fig. 2).
At least one control contour 24 is provided, via which the slide 23 or the at least one lever can be controlled by the articulated lever 4, preferably the at least one control contour 24, as in the exemplary embodiment shown, is oriented at an angle to the longitudinal extension of the damping device 7.
By virtue of the oblique arrangement of the actuating contour relative to the longitudinal extension of the slide 23, the force exerted by the hinge lever 4 on the slide 23 and thus on the piston rod of the damping device 7 is oriented in a direction having a misalignment relative to the pin 17 during the entire damping stroke. This offset is marked in fig. 5b with the reference x.
At least one catch 25, preferably in the form of a projection, is formed or provided on the hinge lever 4, via which catch the slide 23 or the at least one lever can be moved by the hinge lever 4.
The slide 23 or the at least one lever is mounted on the damper housing 8 so as to be displaceable, in particular linearly displaceable, and/or pivotable. For this purpose, as in the case shown, a web 35 can be provided on the damper housing 8 for guiding the slide 23.
A control contour 26 is formed or provided on the hinge lever 4, on which the first spring leg 12 of the spring device 6 can be supported.
At least one sliding element 27, which is formed at least in some sections from a material, preferably plastic, having a reduced friction in relation to the material of the at least one hinge lever 4 and/or the first spring leg 12, is provided on the hinge lever 4 and/or on the first spring leg 12.
A guide 28 is formed or provided on the hinge lever 4, which guide the first spring leg 12 in a direction transverse to the longitudinal extension of the first fitting 2.
As in the specific embodiment (see for example the enlarged illustration in fig. 2), this can relate to a common component which is formed by the sliding element 27 and has the control contour 26 and the guide 28.
The spring device 6 has a second spring leg 29 which is supported or can be supported directly or indirectly on the first fitting 2, preferably on the base strip 10 of the first fitting 2.
The spring device 6 is designed as a torsion spring, wherein the hinge 1 has at least one pivot axis 19 and the torsion spring is supported on the at least one pivot axis 19.
The hinge lever 4 is designed as an inner hinge lever and is provided with a further outer hinge lever 5.
The hinge 1 is designed as a four-pivot hinge and has a U-shaped component 30 which provides the two hinge axes 31, 32 of the hinge 1, preferably on the second fitting 3 (see fig. 2).
An adjusting device 33 can be provided, with which the first fitting part 2 can be adjusted relative to the base part 21 parallel to the longitudinal direction of the first fitting part 2.
Fig. 4 shows a schematic view of the damping device 7.
The damper housing 8 has a first end 14 close to the hinge levers 4, 5 and a second end 15 spaced apart from said hinge levers.
The second end 15 has an opening 16 for the piston rod 9 to pass through.
The piston rod 9 is connected to a piston 39 which can be moved, for example, in a damping fluid in the interior of the damper in order to generate a damping resistance during a damping stroke.
A return spring 40 may be provided with which the piston 39 can be returned to the initial position after the completion of the damping stroke.
Fig. 5a to 5c show a part of the hinge 1 in a side view, wherein one side panel 11 of the first part 2 has been omitted from the drawing in order to be able to see the interior of the first part 2, and the hinge 1 is arranged in the open position in part a, in the intermediate position in part b and in the closed position in part c.
In fig. 5a the hinge 1 is fully open. The hinge lever 4 is configured to be free from contact with the slider 23.
If the hinge 1 is now moved towards the closed position, the catch 25 of the hinge lever 4 moves towards the control contour 24 of the slider 23. The angular position of the hinge lever 4 when it first contacts the slider 23 during the closing movement of the hinge 1 is shown in fig. 5 b. Between the fully open position and this intermediate position, no damping is provided by the damping device 7.
If the hinge 1 continues to move toward the closed position shown in fig. 5c, the hinge lever 4 moves the slide 23 relative to the damper housing 8. Thereby, the piston rod 9 moves into the damper housing 8 and generates a damping force.
The sequences of fig. 5a to 5c result particularly well: the spring device 6 has a first spring leg 12, which is mounted displaceably on the at least one hinge lever 4 such that upon relative movement of the two fittings 2, 3, a relative movement occurs between the first spring leg 12 and the at least one hinge lever 4.
Fig. 6 shows a part of the hinge 1 in a perspective view, wherein a part of the base panel 10 and of one of the side panels 11 of the first fitting 2 has been omitted in the illustration in order to be able to see the interior of the first fitting 2, and the encircled region is shown enlarged. From this view it is particularly well shown that the first spring leg 12 is supported on the hinge lever 4 via a sliding element 27 which at the same time comprises a lateral guide 28 and a control contour 26 in order to produce an advantageous closing force profile.
Fig. 7a to 7d show different embodiments of the spring device 6 of the inner joint lever 4 and of the joint 1 in a schematically illustrated perspective view.
Fig. 7a shows an embodiment in which the first spring leg 12 rests directly on the hinge lever 4.
Fig. 7b shows an embodiment in which the control contour 26 is formed integrally on the hinge lever 4.
Fig. 7c and 7d show two different embodiments in which a separate sliding element 27 with a control contour 26 and a guide 28 is arranged on the hinge lever 4.
