In one exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-5, a seal assembly is disclosed. The seal assembly includes: a sealing gasket 3 and a first sealing ring 4. The sealing gasket 3 is adapted to be squeezed between the bottom face of the connector housing 1 and the mounting face of the mounting panel 2. In the illustrated embodiment, an opening 201 corresponding to the bottom opening 101 of the connector housing 1 is formed on the mounting panel 2. After the connector housing 1 is mounted on the mounting panel 2, the bottom opening 101 of the connector housing 1 communicates with the opening 201 on the mounting panel 2.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the first sealing ring 4 is adapted to be squeezed between the top face 31 of the sealing gasket 3 and the bottom face of the connector housing 1. The elasticity of the first sealing ring 4 is greater than that of the sealing gasket 3 for improving the sealability between the bottom surface of the connector housing 1 and the top surface 31 of the sealing gasket 3.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, a first raised annular rib 33 is formed on the top surface 31 of the sealing gasket 3, the first annular rib 33 surrounding the outer periphery of the sealing gasket 3. The first annular rib 33 is adapted to fit over the outside of the bottom of the connector housing 1 in an interference fit to pre-load the sealing gasket 3 onto the connector housing 1.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, a raised second annular rib 34 is also formed on the top surface 31 of the sealing gasket 3, the second annular rib 34 surrounding the inner periphery of the sealing gasket 3. The second annular rib 34 is adapted to be inserted into the bottom opening 101 of the connector housing 1 with an interference fit to preassemble the sealing gasket 3 onto the connector housing 1.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the first sealing ring 4 is disposed between the first annular rib 33 and the second annular rib 34. The thickness of the first seal ring 4 is smaller than the height of the first annular rib 33 and the second annular rib 34.
Although not shown, in another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the sealing assembly may further comprise a second sealing ring adapted to be squeezed between the bottom surface 32 of the sealing gasket 3 and the mounting surface of the mounting panel 2. The elasticity of the second seal ring is greater than that of the seal gasket 3 for improving the sealability between the mounting face of the mounting panel 2 and the bottom face 32 of the seal gasket 3.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, both the top surface 31 and the bottom surface 32 of the sealing gasket 3 are smooth and flat surfaces.
In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-5, a connector housing assembly is also disclosed. The connector housing assembly includes: a connector housing 1 and the aforementioned sealing assembly. The connector housing 1 is adapted to be mounted to a mounting surface of a mounting panel 2. The seal assembly is disposed on the bottom surface of the connector housing 1. The seal assembly is adapted to be squeezed between the bottom surface of the connector housing 1 and the mounting surface of the mounting panel 2 to effect a seal therebetween.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the connector housing 1 includes a peripheral wall 10 and a mounting portion 11 radially protruding from an outer side of a bottom of the peripheral wall 10. The mounting portion 11 is adapted to be fastened to the mounting panel 2 by means of a threaded connection 12 to secure the connector housing 1 to the mounting panel 2.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the first sealing ring 4 of the sealing assembly is applied against the bottom surface of the peripheral wall 10 of the connector housing 1 and is adapted to be squeezed between the bottom surface of the peripheral wall 10 of the connector housing 1 and the top surface 31 of the sealing gasket 3 of the sealing assembly.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the shape and size of the first seal ring 4 are the same as those of the bottom surface of the peripheral wall 10 of the connector housing 1.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the bottom surface of the peripheral wall 10 of the connector housing 1 is flush with the bottom surface of the mounting portion 11 of the connector housing 1.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, when the connector housing 1 is mounted to the mounting surface of the mounting panel 2, the bottom surface 32 of the sealing gasket 3 is in direct contact with the mounting surface of the mounting panel 2.
However, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, for example, in another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the seal assembly may further include a second seal ring. The second sealing ring is compressed between the bottom face 32 of the sealing gasket 3 and the mounting face of the mounting panel 2. As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, a convex rib 13 surrounding a bottom opening 101 of the connector housing 1 is formed on the bottom surface of the connector housing 1. The first seal ring 4 is pressed between the projecting rib 13 and the top face 31 of the seal gasket 3 to improve the sealability between the bottom face of the connector housing 1 and the top face 31 of the seal gasket 3.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the bottom surface of the connector housing 1 is a rough and uneven surface. Thus, the manufacturing difficulty and manufacturing cost of the connector housing 1 can be reduced.
In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1-5, a connector is also disclosed. The connector includes the aforementioned connector housing assembly, an insulator (not shown), and a terminal (not shown). The insulator is mounted in the inner cavity of the connector housing 1. The terminal is disposed in the insulator.

a first sealing ring (4) adapted to be squeezed between a top face (31) of the sealing gasket (3) and a bottom face of the connector housing (1),
the elasticity of the first sealing ring (4) is greater than that of the sealing gasket (3) and is used for improving the sealing performance between the bottom surface of the connector shell (1) and the top surface (31) of the sealing gasket (3).
2. The seal assembly of claim 1, wherein:
a raised first annular rib (33) is formed on the top surface (31) of the sealing gasket (3), the first annular rib (33) surrounding the periphery of the sealing gasket (3);
the first annular rib (33) is adapted to be fitted over the outside of the bottom of the connector housing (1) in an interference fit to preassemble the sealing gasket (3) onto the connector housing (1).
3. The seal assembly of claim 2, wherein:
a raised second annular rib (34) is further formed on the top surface (31) of the sealing gasket (3), and the second annular rib (34) surrounds the inner periphery of the sealing gasket (3);

7. A connector housing assembly, comprising:
a connector housing (1) adapted to be mounted to a mounting surface of a mounting panel (2); and
the seal assembly of any one of claims 1 to 6, being provided on a bottom face of the connector housing (1),
the sealing assembly is adapted to be squeezed between a bottom surface of the connector housing (1) and a mounting surface of the mounting panel (2) to effect a seal therebetween.
8. The connector housing assembly of claim 7, wherein:
the connector housing (1) includes a peripheral wall (10) and a mounting portion (11) projecting radially from an outer side of a bottom of the peripheral wall (10);
the mounting portion (11) is adapted to be fastened to the mounting panel (2) by means of a threaded connection (12) to secure the connector housing (1) to the mounting panel (2).
9. The connector housing assembly of claim 8, wherein:
the first sealing ring (4) of the sealing assembly is applied against the bottom surface of the peripheral wall (10) of the connector housing (1) and is adapted to be squeezed between the bottom surface of the peripheral wall (10) of the connector housing (1) and the top surface (31) of the sealing gasket (3) of the sealing assembly.
10. The connector housing assembly of claim 9, wherein:
