POS machine IC card seat data safety protection device
Technical Field
The application relates to the field of POS machines, in particular to a POS machine IC card seat data safety protection device.
Background
The POS (point of sa le) is a multifunctional terminal, and is installed in special commercial tenant and acceptance network of credit card and connected with computer to form network so as to implement automatic electronic fund transfer, and it has the functions of supporting consumption, preauthorization, balance inquiry and transfer, etc. and is safe, quick and reliable in use.
A POS terminal (or POS machine) usually has an IC card socket mounted therein for receiving an IC card. IC card holders are generally classified into two types, one is an open type holder in which respective contacts are exposed to the outside, and the other is a closed type holder in which only soldering PIN PINs are exposed to the outside. In order to improve the security level of the POS terminal and prevent the IC card data from leaking, a security protection device needs to be provided. For a closed IC card socket, one known solution is: through install the PCB (be Pr inputted Ci rc it Board, printed circuit Board) mainboard of IC cassette and set up the PCB safety cover Board at IC cassette top respectively from the below of cassette and top protect to set up PCB fence Board at PIN foot around and come the edgewise protection, wherein PCB safety cover Board passes through zebra stripe and PCB mainboard connection, PCB fence Board welding is on the PCB mainboard. However, although the PCB safety cover plate and the PCB fence plate can well protect data safety, they are expensive and complicated in production process. Moreover, under the condition that the POS terminal falls carelessly, the PCB safety cover plate and the PCB fence plate are easy to fall off from the PCB main board, and the reliability of the POS terminal is affected.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
One of the purposes of the present application is to reduce the production cost of the POS machine and simplify the production process while also ensuring good IC card data security.
Therefore, the application provides a POS machine IC card seat data safety protection device, which comprises a PCB mainboard and an IC card seat arranged on the PCB mainboard, wherein the IC card seat is provided with a PIN foot, the protection device further comprises a metal fence arranged around the PIN foot and a liquid crystal panel covered above the metal fence. In the scheme, the metal fence and the liquid crystal panel are adopted to replace a traditional PCB fence board and a PCB safety cover board, and the data signals of the IC card seat are protected from the side surface and the upper part respectively, so that good IC card data safety can be ensured, the cost is greatly reduced, and the production process is simplified.
According to some embodiments of the present application, the liquid crystal panel is provided with a flexible printed circuit board, and a Mesh protection wire connected to the PCB main board is provided in the flexible printed circuit board, and the Mesh protection wire completely covers the metal fence. A flexible printed circuit board (i.e., an FPC for short) is a flexible printed circuit board, which is made of polyimide or polyester film as a base material and has high reliability and excellent flexibility, and has the advantages of high wiring density, light weight, thin thickness, good bending property, etc. The FPC with the Mesh protection wire has a damage prevention function, and once the FPC is lifted, the Mesh protection wire can be broken, so that a safety protection program is triggered, sensitive information is automatically erased, and the safety of user data is guaranteed. In the scheme, since the Mesh protection wire completely covers the metal fence arranged around the PIN, when an attacker tries to attack from above the PIN, the FPC provided with the Mesh protection wire must be lifted first, and the Mesh protection wire can be broken to trigger the safety protection program no matter what way the Mesh protection wire is adopted, so that the attack difficulty is undoubtedly improved, and the data protection function is enhanced.
According to some embodiments of the application, the bottom of the metal fence is fixed on the PCB main board through welding and glue dispensing. Therefore, gaps between the bottom of the metal fence and the PCB main board are completely eliminated, and the metal fence is effectively prevented from being pried from the bottom to generate the gaps, so that the risk of detecting IC card signals from the gaps is reduced, and the data safety of a user is further guaranteed. Meanwhile, the glue is dispensed at a proper position (for example, a place which is not suitable for welding due to the passing of a circuit) except for welding, so that the connection between the metal fence and the PCB main board is firmer, and the metal fence is not easy to separate from the PCB main board even if the POS machine falls carelessly, so that the falling resistance of the POS machine is greatly improved.
According to some embodiments of the application, the metal fence is fixed to or integrally formed with the IC card holder at both ends thereof. Therefore, the production process is simplified, the system stability is improved, and the failure rate is reduced.
According to some embodiments of the present application, a gap is left between the top of the metal fence and the liquid crystal panel. The gap provides enough space for slight deformation generated when the liquid crystal is normally used, and interference of the metal fence on normal operation of the liquid crystal is avoided.
According to some embodiments of the present application, the metal fence is a U-shaped structure that opens toward the PIN legs, having a first sidewall that is substantially parallel to the direction of alignment of the PIN legs and a second sidewall and a third sidewall that are substantially perpendicular to the first sidewall. The U-shaped structure occupies a small space, is easy to manufacture, can surround the PIN foot from three sides, and effectively prevents the IC card data from being detected by an attacker from the side surface of the PIN foot.
According to some embodiments of the present application, the IC card socket has a groove on each side of the PIN, and the second side wall and the third side wall of the metal fence are respectively fixed in the grooves. The groove for receiving the metal fence is arranged in the IC card seat, so that the connection strength between the IC card seat and the metal fence is improved.
According to some embodiments of the present application, the first wall of the metal fence is provided with a stiffener. The material of the reinforcing rib is not limited as long as the effect of reinforcing the metal fence can be achieved.
It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description are exemplary and explanatory only and are not restrictive of the invention as claimed.

Detailed Description
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiments, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings. The following description refers to the accompanying drawings in which the same numbers in different drawings represent the same or similar elements unless otherwise indicated. The embodiments described in the following exemplary embodiments do not represent all embodiments according to the present application. Rather, they are merely examples of apparatus consistent with certain aspects of the present application, as detailed in the appended claims.
Fig. 1 to 5 schematically show a POS IC card holder data security device 1 according to an embodiment of the present application in different views. As shown in fig. 1 to 3, the apparatus includes a PCB main board 10, and an IC card socket 14 mounted on the PCB main board 10. As shown more clearly in fig. 4 and 5, in the present embodiment, the IC card socket 14 is a closed socket, one side of the closed socket has an IC card slot 15, and the other side opposite to the side is provided with an exposed soldering PIN 13, so that an attacker is most likely to detect IC card data from the PIN 13, and thus needs to strengthen protection at the PIN. For this purpose, as shown in fig. 1 and 2, a metal fence 16 completely enclosing the PIN legs 13 from the side and a liquid crystal panel 12 covering the metal fence 16 and the PIN legs 13 are provided around the PIN legs 13, which are respectively protected from the side and from above the PIN legs 13. In addition, since the IC card socket 14 is mounted on the PCB main board 10, the PIN PINs 13 are protected from the PCB main board 10. Therefore, the PIN 13 is effectively protected in all directions, the attack difficulty is improved, and the data security of the IC card of the user is ensured. In addition, because the metal fence and the liquid crystal panel which are low in manufacturing cost and easy to manufacture are adopted to replace the traditional PCB fence board and the traditional PCB safety cover board, the cost is greatly reduced and the production process is simplified under the condition of ensuring good IC card data safety.
In the above embodiment, the liquid crystal panel 12 is provided with a flexible printed wiring board (not shown, hereinafter referred to as FPC) in which a Mesh protection wire (not shown) connected to the PCB main board 10 is provided, the Mesh protection wire being designed to completely cover the metal fence 16 (and thus the PIN 13). As shown in fig. 3, the liquid crystal panel 12 is usually mounted in the housing 11, an opening 19 is provided in the housing 11, and the Mesh protection wire of the FPC on the liquid crystal panel 12 is covered above the metal fence 16, preferably over the entire cassette area, through the opening 19. When an attacker tries to attack from the upside of the PIN 13, the FPC provided with the Mesh protection wire therein must be opened first, and no matter how the FPC is used, the Mesh protection wire is broken to trigger the security protection program on the PCB main board 10, and the sensitive information is automatically erased, which undoubtedly increases the difficulty of the attack and enhances the security of the data. It should be understood that the liquid crystal panel 12 may be a liquid crystal display screen or a liquid crystal touch screen.
In the above embodiment, the bottom of the metal fence 16 is fixed on the PCB main board 10, preferably by means of welding and spot gluing, so that the metal fence 16 can be fixed on the PCB main board more firmly without any gap, the risk of detecting the IC card signal from the gap is reduced, and the drop resistance of the POS machine is improved. As best shown in fig. 2 and 5, in the above embodiment, the metal fence 16 is a U-shaped structure opened toward the PIN legs 13, and has a first side wall 16A substantially parallel to the arrangement direction of the PIN legs 13 and second and third side walls 16B and 16C (see fig. 5) substantially perpendicular to the first side wall 16A. In the embodiment shown in fig. 4, the IC card socket 14 is provided with a groove 17 on each side of the PIN 13, and the second side wall 16B and the third side wall 16C of the metal fence 16 are respectively fixed (for example, by welding, clamping, etc. in any suitable manner) in the groove 17. Advantageously, the metal fence 16 is non-detachably fixed to the IC card socket 14, so that the two are firmly integrated, which is beneficial to improving the system stability and simplifying the production process. Of course, the metal rail 16 and the IC card holder 14 may be integrally formed, for example, by directly injection molding the metal rail 16 into the card holder. It should be understood that the metal rail 16 may have any other semi-enclosing shape (e.g., arcuate, semi-circular, semi-elliptical) so long as it completely encloses the sides of the PIN legs 13. The metal fence 16 may be made of any suitable metal, such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper, iron, etc., and advantageously is made of a metal with good solderability (such as cupronickel), which allows for easier soldering of the metal fence to the PCB motherboard. In addition, in order to increase the rigidity of the metal fence 16, reinforcing ribs may be provided on the side walls thereof. For example, as shown in fig. 5, a reinforcing bar 18 can be provided on a first side wall of the metal fence 16. It should be understood that the reinforcing ribs may be disposed at other suitable positions, and the shape and size of the reinforcing ribs may be designed according to actual needs. Advantageously, in order to provide sufficient space for slight deformation of the liquid crystal that may occur during normal use, and to avoid interference of the metal rail 16 with the normal operation of the liquid crystal, a gap is left between the top of the metal rail 16 and the liquid crystal panel 12. The size of the gap can be adjusted according to actual needs.
