Certain directional terms used hereinafter to describe the drawings, such as "inner", "outer", "above", "below", and other directional terms, will be understood to have their normal meaning and refer to those directions as they normally relate to when viewing the drawings. Unless otherwise indicated, the directional terms described herein are generally in accordance with conventional directions as understood by those skilled in the art.
The terms "first," "second," and the like as used herein do not denote any order, quantity, or importance, but rather are used to distinguish one element from another.
Fig. 1 to 4 exemplarily show a miniature circuit breaker 1 according to the present invention. As shown in fig. 1, the miniature circuit breaker 1 defines an inner space with a housing 2 to accommodate an operating mechanism, a contact system, an arc extinguishing system, a breaking actuation mechanism, a circuit, and the like. The case 2 defines an indication window 23 for displaying an opening or closing state of the micro circuit breaker 1.
Fig. 2 and 3 show the structure and layout of the interior of the housing 2 in two opposite views. As shown in the figure, the first connection terminal 71 and the second connection terminal 72 are respectively disposed on opposite sides of the housing 2, and an operating mechanism, a contact system, an arc extinguishing system, a brake opening actuating mechanism, and the like are disposed therebetween.
Fig. 4 shows an exemplary detail of the operating mechanism 3. As shown in fig. 2 to 4, the operating mechanism 3 includes a handle 31, a lock catch 32 controllable by the handle 31, and a release member 33. The handle 31 has an aperture 311 for passing through a handle pivot 21 provided on the inner wall of the housing 2, whereby the handle 31 can pivot about the handle pivot 21. A portion of the handle 31 extends out of the housing 2 for manual opening and closing operation. The handle 31 is provided with a first biasing member 35, which first biasing member 35 always applies a biasing force to the handle 31 that causes it to pivot in a first direction (clockwise as viewed in fig. 2) or tends to pivot in the first direction. Once the handle 31 is pivoted in this first direction, it means that the miniature circuit breaker is open.
The handle 31 is connected to the latch 32 by a link 37 and the latch 23 is pivotably connected to the contact support 34 by a latch pivot 342. The latch pivot 342 may be a shaft that integrally extends from the contact support 34. The contact support 34 is pivotally journalled on a support pivot 22 provided on the inner wall of the housing 2. A second biasing member 36 is pressed between the contact support member 34 and the inner wall of the housing 2, the second biasing member 36 always applying a biasing force to the contact support member 34 causing it to pivot in the second direction (counterclockwise in fig. 2) or a tendency to pivot in the second direction. Once the contact support 34 is pivoted in the second direction, it means that the miniature circuit breaker is opened.
The release 33 is pivotably connected to the contact support 34. In the embodiment shown, the pivot axis of the release 33 coincides with the pivot axis of the contact support 34, which can be achieved by the release 33 also being sleeved on the support pivot 22, or the release 33 can be sleeved on a shaft formed on the support pivot 22 and coaxial with the support pivot 22.
During the closing of the miniature circuit breaker 1, the release 33 is always engaged with the latch 32. The aforementioned first biasing member 35 capable of biasing the handle 31 also applies a biasing force to the trip member 33 to pivot or generate a tendency to pivot in the first direction, so as to press the trip member 33 against the latch 32, to restrict the pivoting of the latch 32 together with the contact support 34 under the biasing of the second biasing member 36, and to maintain the miniature circuit breaker 1 in the closed state. When a prescribed circuit condition (e.g., short circuit, overload, etc.) occurs, the release member 33 is pivoted in the second direction against the biasing force of the first biasing member 35 by the opening actuation mechanism 6, and is released from the latch 32. The unlocking of the release 33 from the latch 32 allows the opening of the miniature circuit breaker 1.
The trip member 33 may be further formed with a slide groove 331, the slide groove 331 being configured in an arc shape centering on the pivot axis of the trip member 33. One end of the limiting rod 38 is inserted into the sliding groove 331 and can move along the sliding groove 331, and the other end is fixed to the housing 2. During the pivoting of the release member 33 about the support pivot 22, the stopper rod 38 moves along the slide groove 331, limiting the pivoting angle of the release member 33.
The first biasing member 35 disposed between the handle 31 and the release member 33 to simultaneously apply a biasing force to both the handle 31 and the release member 33 may be a torsion spring that is sleeved on the handle pivot 21, a first leg 351 of the torsion spring abutting the handle 31 to bias the handle 31 in the first direction, and a second leg 352 abutting the release member 33 on a side of the release member 33 facing away from the catch 32 and biasing the release member 33 in the first direction to thereby urge the release member 33 against the catch 32 from a side of the catch 32 facing the handle 31 for locking engagement therewith. Once the prescribed circuit condition is removed, the driving force of the opening actuator 6 is removed, and the release member 33 is pivoted in the first direction to re-engage with the catch 32 under the bias of the first biasing member 35.
The first biasing member 35 can simultaneously act on the handle 31 and the trip member 33, and combines the functions originally realized by the two biasing members into one member of the first biasing member 35, thereby simplifying the structure, saving materials and facilitating the optimization of the internal layout of the miniature circuit breaker. Of course, it is also conceivable for the person skilled in the art to use two biasing members for biasing the handle in the first direction and the release member 33 in the first direction, respectively, for example a torsion spring arranged between the housing and the handle, and a torsion spring arranged between the support pivot 22 and the release member 33.
In order to clearly communicate the current switching-on/off state of the miniature circuit breaker to the outside, the operating mechanism 2 is provided with an indicating part, and the indicating part is integrated on the original component of the operating mechanism 2. In the embodiment shown, the first indicator 323 is integrated in the latch 32, while the second indicator 341 is integrated in the contact support 34.
As shown in detail in fig. 4, a support arm 322 extends from the latch body 321 of the latch 32 toward the side wall of the housing 2, and a first indicator 323 is formed at an extending end of the support arm 322. During pivoting of the latch 32 about the latch pivot 342, the first indication portion 323 can follow to align with the indication window 23 of the housing 2 or be misaligned with the indication window 23 to indicate a first state of the miniature circuit breaker 1, such as an open state. In one embodiment, only a surface of the first indicating part 323 facing the side wall of the housing 2 may be configured as an arc-shaped indicating surface centering on the pivot axis of the latch 32, or the entirety of the first indicating part 323 may be configured as an arc-shaped indicating section centering on the pivot axis of the latch 32.
Furthermore, the contact support 34 is formed with a bend at one end near the side wall of the housing 2, which bend is configured as a second indicator 341. The second indicator 341 may be selectively aligned with or misaligned with the indicator window 23 of the case 2 during pivoting of the contact support 34 about the support pivot 22 to indicate a second state of the miniature circuit breaker 1, for example a closed state. In one embodiment, only the surface of the second indicator portion 341 facing the side wall of the housing 2 may be configured as an arc-shaped indicator face centered on the pivot axis of the contact support 34, or the entirety of the second indicator portion 341 may be configured as an arc-shaped indicator section centered on the pivot axis of the contact support 34.
Such an arc-shaped indication surface or arc-shaped indication section can fit more closely to the indication window 23 when the latch 32 or the contact support 34 is moved to align the first indication portion 323 or the second indication portion 341 with the indication window 23, so that the information is transmitted more clearly. The inner wall of the housing 2 corresponding to the indicator window 23 can also be adapted to form a curved wall section.
Although the utility model discloses the first instruction portion integration that will instruct the separating brake is on the hasp to the second instruction portion integration that will instruct the combined floodgate is on contact support piece, make two instruction portions can the alternative aim at the instruction window during hasp and contact support piece motion, but those skilled in the art will understand, the first instruction portion that instructs the separating brake also can be integrated on contact support piece alternatively, the second instruction portion integration that will instruct the combined floodgate simultaneously is on the hasp, make two instruction portions can the alternative aim at the instruction window of shell with the present divide-shut brake state of miniature circuit breaker during hasp and contact support piece motion. The first and second indicators 323 and 341 may be marked with "ON", "OFF", "ON", or "OFF", or may be coated with different colors, such as green and red, to transmit clear information.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, in the housing 2, the opening actuation mechanism 6 that drives the release member 33 is arranged corresponding to the release member 33. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the opening actuator 6 is configured as an electromagnetic trip mechanism, wherein the coil 62 is electrically connected to the first connection terminal 71, and the opening armature 61 is movably disposed along its axis and surrounded by the coil 62. When a prescribed circuit condition occurs, the coil 62 is energized to drive the opening armature 61 to move close to and strike the release member 33, so that the release member 33 pivots in the second direction, causing the release member 33 to unlock the latch 32 against the biasing force of the first biasing member to allow the miniature circuit breaker 1 to open.
In the miniature circuit breaker 1 of the present invention, the movable contact 41 of the contact system is mounted on the contact support 34 and electrically connected to the second connection terminal 72, while the stationary contact 42 is fixed in the housing 2, for example, on a mounting plate for mounting the opening actuating mechanism 6. During the pivoting of the contact support 34 about the support pivot 22, the moving contact 41 is brought into and out of engagement with the stationary contact 42.
The arc extinguishing system is installed corresponding to the stationary contact 42. As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the arc extinguishing chamber 5 is arranged directly below the stationary contact 42. Baffles 8 extending towards the arc chute 5 may also be arranged on opposite sides of the stationary contact 42 to ensure that the arc is directed towards the arc chute 5.
