Paper product packaging is the largest variety used in packaging industrial products. Cartons are the most important form of transport packaging, and cartons are widely used as sales packaging for various products such as food, medicine, electronics, and the like. On the other hand, the use of a carton design as shown in fig. 5 typically requires the consumption of more paper material, which is neither cost effective nor environmentally friendly.

As shown in fig. 1, the present application discloses, in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present application, an enclosure box 10 comprising: two oppositely disposed first side plates 101 and two oppositely disposed second side plates 103. Of course, the present disclosure is not limited to their specific shapes, but can be configured according to actual needs.
Each first side panel 101 extends towards both open ends of the enclosure 10 with a first fold 107, and each first fold 107 extends towards both sides with a folding lug 111.
Each second side plate 103 extends to form second folding portions 109 towards two open ends of the enclosure box 10, and an opening 115 corresponding to the folding lug 111 is formed in the folding line of each second folding portion 109, so that the folding lug 111 is inserted into the opening 115, and the first folding portion 107 is fixed on the second folding portion 109, so that a closed space is formed in the enclosure box 10.
The enclosure 10 is formed from a single suitable substrate according to embodiments of the present application. A plurality of folding lines are preset on a base plate for manufacturing the packaging box 10, the base plate is divided into four parts by the folding lines, so that two first side plates 101 and two second side plates 103 are formed, and the two first side plates 101 and the two second side plates 103 are alternately hinged together in series to form a rectangular tubular structure with an open end.
The two first side plates 101 and the two second side plates 103 are located on the same base plate, and the two first side plates 101 and the two second side plates 103 are distributed on the base plate in the following order (from right to left): the first side plate 101 (of the head part) is connected with the second side plate 103, the first side plate 101 is connected with the second side plate 103 (of the tail part), the first side plate 101 of the head part and the second side plate 103 of the tail part are connected at the edge, and the specific mode is as follows: the first side plate 101 at the head part extends outwards to form a foldable extension part 105, and the first side plate 101 at the head part is connected with the second side plate 103 at the tail part, so that a rectangular tubular structure is formed. The corners of the extension 105 on the first side plate 101 are all concave rounded corners. The extending portion 105 and the inner side of the second side plate 103 may be fixedly connected by bonding, and a layer of adhesive, such as glue, a double-sided tape, etc., is preset on the surface of the extending portion 105 and the inner side of the second side plate 103, which needs to be bonded. The connection of the leading first side plate 101 and the trailing second side plate 103 at the edges may also be by means of a snap connection, similar to the above-described arrangement of the folding tabs 111 and openings 115, and will not be described in detail here.

As shown in fig. 2-4, according to the present embodiment, the two first folds 107 of the two oppositely disposed first side panels 101 at each open end of the enclosure 10 together cover the entire open end after folding.
The corners of both first folds 107 at one open end of the enclosure 10 are scalloped corners 117. The scalloped corner 117 functions to facilitate opening of the first fold 107. The side having the scalloped corners 117 may serve as the top surface of the enclosure 10 for ease of opening.
According to the embodiment of the present application, the two second folded portions 109 of the two oppositely disposed second side plates 103 at each open end of the packing box 10 collectively cover the entire open end after being folded.
According to the embodiment of the application, the packaging box is provided with notches 113 at the positions corresponding to the folding lugs 111 of the first folding part 107 on the second folding part 109 in the unfolded state on the base plate, and the shape of the notches 113 is matched with the shape of the folding lugs 111. That is, the left side of the second side plate 103 of the tail portion is not provided with the notch 113. The folding tab 111 of the leading first fold 107 is not formed by cutting out the notch 113 of the trailing second fold 109, but rather by cutting out the base panel adjacent the leading first side panel 101 extending outwardly above a foldable extension 105. The folded tab 111 and the notch 113 are formed by cutting a planar substrate. The notch 113 serves to facilitate opening of the second fold 109.
Each first fold 107 has a fold lug 111 extending to both sides. An opening 115 corresponding to the folding lug 111 is formed at the folding line of each second folding portion 109, so that the folding lug 111 is inserted into the opening 115. The opening 115 is cut at the folding line of the second folding part 109 on the base plate, after the second folding part 109 is folded, the opening 115 is exposed, and a boss is arranged outside the opening 115.
The middle portion of the folding lug 111 is protruded to both sides along the folding line direction, and the folding line is concaved inwards, so that the folding lug 111 can be locked after being inserted into the opening 115.
According to the present embodiment, the length of the folding tab 111 is greater than the length of the opening 115, and the length of the folding tab 111 at the folding line is less than the length of the opening 115.
According to the present embodiment, the folding lug 111 has a circular arc-shaped side.
The folding lugs 111 of the first side plate 101 of the enclosure box 10 extending out of the first fold 107 are inserted into the openings 115 of the second side plate 103 extending out of the second fold 109, thereby achieving the closure of the two open ends of the enclosure box 10, enabling the enclosure box 10 to be formed, avoiding the use of adhesive tape to form the enclosure box 10. When the packaging box 10 is manufactured, the utilization rate of paper is improved. The enclosure box 10 of the present application employs a locking arrangement of the folding lugs 111 and the opening 115 to increase the weighing capacity of the enclosure box 10 and improve the strength of the enclosure box 10.
Fig. 5 shows a plan view of a prior art carton.
In mass production, the enclosure 10 of the present application saves more substrate than the carton shown in fig. 5, thereby increasing the utilization of the substrate. The enclosure 10 of the present application can save 10% of the substrate than the carton shown in fig. 5.
The method of forming the enclosure 10 is described as follows, first preparing a blank of the enclosure 10, attaching the extension 105 of the end first side panel 101 to the inside of the other end second side panel 103 to form a hollow rectangular parallelepiped frame, folding the second folds 109 inwardly to close the two open ends, folding the first folds 107 inwardly at the two ends of the enclosure 10, and inserting the folding lugs 111 of the first folds 107 into the openings 115 at the fold lines of the second folds 109, thereby completing the formation of the enclosure 10.
