In other embodiments, the vent 112 may also be located at the side of the sponge cavity 11.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the vent 112 is provided in the housing 100 enclosing the sponge chamber 11, the partition 101 includes a first partition 1011 and a second partition 1012, a vent channel 1013 is formed between the first partition 1011 and the second partition 1012, and the vent channel 1013 connects the vent 112 and the free ink chamber 12. When the sponge 113 absorbs the ink, the air pressure in the free ink chamber 12 is reduced, and air enters the free ink chamber 12 from the ventilation channel 1013. Therefore, the sponge cavity 11 and the free ink cavity 12 can be communicated with the atmospheric pressure at the same time, and after the ink in the sponge 113 in the sponge cavity 11 is used up, the sponge 113 can smoothly absorb the ink stored in the free ink cavity 12. In other embodiments, the partition 101 may be provided in plural, not limited to two partitions, and plural vent passages 1013 may be formed between the plural partitions.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the vent channel 1013 extends downward from the top wall of the housing 100 at a distance from the bottom wall of the housing 100, the upper end of the vent channel 1013 is isolated upward from the free ink chamber 12 and communicates with the sponge chamber 11, and the lower end of the vent channel 1013 is communicated downward with the free ink chamber 12. In order to keep the ink in the sponge 113 always in a suitable amount for printing and to absorb the ink uniformly, considering that the printer cartridge 1 vibrates during use, the lower end of the ventilation channel 1013 is communicated with the free ink chamber 12 and the upper end is not communicated, so that the sponge chamber 11 is isolated from the upper part of the free ink chamber 12, and the ink is prevented from flowing into the sponge chamber 11 from places other than the opening 121. Therefore, the sponge 113 can be better ensured to uniformly absorb ink, and the printing effect is ensured. In some embodiments, the vent channel 1013 is an elongated tube. In other embodiments, the vent channel 1013 is a slit or other shape.
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of another embodiment of the printer cartridge of the present application. Referring to fig. 2, in the embodiment shown in fig. 2, the vent holes 112 include a first vent hole 1121 formed in the top of the sponge cavity 11 and a second vent hole 1122 formed in the top of the free ink cavity 12, and a gap exists between the first vent hole 1121 and the sponge 113. The embodiment shown in fig. 2 also can realize that the sponge chamber 11 and the free ink chamber 12 are simultaneously communicated with the atmospheric pressure, and after the ink in the sponge 113 in the sponge chamber 11 is used up, the sponge 113 can smoothly absorb the ink stored in the free ink chamber 12.
In some embodiments, the area of the opening 121 is less than 4 square millimeters. The ink in the sponge 113 needs to be always in a proper amount for printing, so that the sponge 113 is ensured not to absorb excessive ink while ink absorption is not hindered. In some embodiments, the area of the opening 121 is 4 square millimeters, 3 square millimeters, 2 square millimeters, 1 square millimeter, or any value therebetween.
In some embodiments, the bottom of the print head 131 is lower than the bottom of the free ink chamber 12. Thus, the volume of the sponge chamber 11 can be increased and ink residue can be reduced.
In some embodiments, the print head 131 includes a screen 114, and the screen 114 is disposed between the sponge 113 and the print head 131. Thus, the filter 114 is used to separate the sponge 113 from the print head 131, and adjust the amount of ink entering the print head 131 from the sponge 113, thereby ensuring the printing effect. In some embodiments, the screen is a high density material to prevent ink from overflowing the print head to affect the print effect in the event that too much ink is applied to the sponge 113. In other embodiments, the filter screen can also filter impurities, so as to prevent impurities possibly contained in the ink from blocking the printing nozzle 131 or affecting the printing effect.
In some embodiments, a third partition 132 is disposed between the print head 131 and the free ink chamber 12, and a top end surface of the third partition 132 is higher than a top end surface of the print head 131. Thus, the ink can be prevented from directly flowing into the printing nozzle 131 to affect the printing effect. In some embodiments, the top end face of the third partition 132 is tightly pressed against the sponge 113, so as to ensure that the sponge 113 can only absorb ink through the opening 121.
In some embodiments, the free ink chamber 12 includes a transparent window 123, the window 123 being disposed in a sidewall of the housing 100. Therefore, the ink allowance of the free ink cavity 12 can be seen clearly, and the ink can be added conveniently in time when the ink allowance is insufficient. In some embodiments, the viewing window 123 is located in a side wall of the housing 100. In other embodiments, the viewing window 123 is located on the front side of the housing 100. Thus, the ink cartridge 1 is suitable for different installation positions of the ink cartridge 1.
In some embodiments, the bottom edge of the window 123 is lower than the opening 121. Therefore, the ink liquid level is not lower than the bottom edge of the window 123, and the user can conveniently observe the ink residual in the free ink cavity 12. In some embodiments, the window 123 may be provided with a graduation mark for reminding the user to add ink, and the graduation mark may be flush with the position of the opening 121 or higher than the position of the opening 121.
The printer (not shown) according to the embodiment of the present application includes: a printer main body (not shown); and the printer cartridge 1, wherein the printer cartridge 1 is mounted to the printer main body.
In some embodiments, the printer may use one printer cartridge 1 or multiple printer cartridges 1. 1. A printer cartridge, comprising:
