The plurality of shield pieces 233 are arranged at intervals in the front-rear direction D1 (longitudinal direction), and the terminal holder 21 further includes a plurality of recesses 215 for respectively accommodating the plurality of shield pieces 233. For example, in the first embodiment, the positions of the plurality of shielding pieces 233 correspond to the plurality of ground terminals 22b, respectively, but not limited thereto. two terminal modules, each terminal module includes a terminal holding seat extending along the length direction and arranged in the terminal holding seat mounting groove, a plurality of conductive terminals fixed on the terminal holding seat in a row at intervals along the length direction, and a common grounding shielding piece arranged on the terminal holding seat, the plurality of conductive terminals include a plurality of signal terminals and a plurality of grounding terminals, the terminal holding seat has a positioning groove extending along the length direction, and a plurality of open grooves communicated with the positioning groove and respectively corresponding to the plurality of grounding terminals;
the common grounding shield comprises a sheet body, a plurality of grounding elastic arms and at least one shielding sheet, wherein the sheet body extends along the length direction and is inserted into the positioning groove, the plurality of grounding elastic arms extend from one side of the sheet body to the corresponding plurality of grooves respectively and correspondingly abut against the plurality of grounding terminals respectively, and the at least one shielding sheet extends from the other side of the sheet body to one of the plugging surface and the mounting surface and abuts against the terminal retaining seat.

3. The card edge connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the terminal holder has at least one recess for receiving the at least one shielding plate respectively.
4. The card edge connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the common ground shield includes one of said shield blades, and the terminal holder has a recess for receiving the shield blade.
5. The card edge connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the common ground shield comprises a plurality of said shield blades, and the terminal holder has a recess for receiving a corresponding plurality of said shield blades.
6. The card edge connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the common ground shield includes a plurality of said shield blades spaced side by side along the length direction.
7. The card edge connector as claimed in claim 6, wherein the terminal holder has a plurality of recesses for receiving a plurality of the shield plates, respectively.
8. The card edge connector as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a metal shell disposed outside the insulating housing.
