5. The modular fluid seal apparatus for a centrifugal pump of claim 1, wherein said parking seal comprises a labyrinth seal and an internal suction seal.
6. The modular fluid seal assembly for a centrifugal pump of claim 1 including two said parking seals sequentially nested in said hub and having said end cap on the periphery.
7. The modular fluid seal apparatus of claim 1 wherein said end cap defines a flushing aperture, said end cap being adapted to receive a flushing means therethrough for flushing said secondary impeller.
8. A centrifugal pump comprising a pump shaft, a main impeller disposed on the pump shaft, and the modular fluid seal apparatus of any one of claims 1-7, wherein the shaft sleeve is disposed on the pump shaft and the end cap is distal from the main impeller.
