the functional module, the functional module set up in on the safety cover and with second electric connector electricity is connected, the functional module includes at least one of oral cavity detecting element and oral cavity physiotherapy unit, when the safety cover is contained in the oral cavity, the functional module is located in the oral cavity.

The powered toothbrush as defined in claim 1, wherein the protective cover has a first end proximate the handle and a second end distal from the handle, the second electrical connector being disposed closer to the first end than the second end, and the functional module being disposed closer to the second end than the first end.
