The plug terminals 20 are integrally formed on a pair of plug side walls 12 in two rows in the lateral direction, and the plug guide portion 14 includes a bottom surface 141, a lateral outer side 142, a pair of longitudinal outer sides 143, and a slope 144 facing the island receiving cavity 13. An insertion groove 145 is formed extending along the bottom surface 141, the lateral outer side 142 and the top wall 11. The longitudinal outer side surface 143 extends to form a buried groove 146 communicating with the embedded groove 145 at the longitudinal outer side surface 142, and the lower end of the buried groove 146 extends to both longitudinal ends of the bottom surface 141. The insertion groove 145 extends in the lateral direction on the surface of the top wall 11, and then branches off to extend out of the top wall 11 along both longitudinal sides.
The header reinforcing member 30 includes a peripheral wall 31 surrounding the longitudinal outer side 142 and the lateral outer side 143 of the header guide 14, a cover bottom 32 formed by bending vertically from the bottom end of the peripheral wall 31, a cover top 33 formed by bending and extending vertically from the top of the peripheral wall 31 at one lateral end, and solder tails 332 formed by extending from the end of the cover top 33 along both longitudinal sides.
The peripheral wall 31 is a U-shaped structure, and includes a transverse peripheral wall 311 covering the transverse outer side 142, and a longitudinal peripheral wall 312 bent perpendicularly from both longitudinal ends of the transverse peripheral wall 311 and covering the longitudinal outer side 143. The cover bottom 32 includes a pair of longitudinal cover bottoms 322 formed by bending the bottom portions of the longitudinal peripheral walls 312 perpendicularly and a transverse cover bottom 321 formed between the pair of longitudinal cover bottoms 322 by bending the bottom portions of the transverse peripheral walls 311 perpendicularly. The free end of the lateral cover bottom 321 is stamped downward to form a guide ramp 323. The cover top 33 is formed by bending and extending perpendicularly from the top end of the transverse peripheral wall 311, and includes an extension base 331, the solder leg 332 formed by extending from the free end of the extension base 331 along both longitudinal sides after diverging, and a diverging opening 333 formed at the free end of the extension base 331.
Viewed in the vertical direction, the free end 313 of the longitudinal peripheral wall 312 at least partially overlaps the solder tail 332, so that the length of the longitudinal peripheral wall 312 is extended to increase the heat dissipation function, and meanwhile, the bottom of the free end 313 is provided with an avoiding notch 314 to avoid interference between the two.
The header reinforcing member 30 and the header terminal 20 are integrally injection-molded with the header body 10, and the lateral cover bottom 321, the lateral peripheral wall 311, and the cover top 33 are inserted into the insertion groove 145 of the header guide portion 14. The longitudinal peripheral wall 312 and the longitudinal cover bottom 322 are embedded within the embedded slot 146. The top surface of the cover top 33 is exposed to the outside of the top wall 11 of the plug body 10. The longitudinal peripheral wall 312 contacts, as a contact portion, the contact projection 653 of the socket reinforcing member 60.
The plug terminal 20 includes a plug terminal leg 24 extending from the upper surface of the top wall 11 in the longitudinal direction to the outside of the top wall 11, a plug terminal first contact portion 22 bent from the plug terminal leg 24 along the surface of the top wall 11 to the inner side surface of the plug side wall 12, and a plug terminal second contact portion 23 bent from the lower end of the plug terminal first contact portion 22 in the opposite direction to extend to the outer side surface of the plug side wall 12. The second contact portion 23 of the plug terminal is provided with a groove structure. The free end of the plug terminal second contact portion 23 is bent toward the plug terminal first contact portion 22 to form an insertion end portion 25 to be inserted into the plug side wall 12. The insertion end portion 25 prevents the plug terminal second contact portion 23 from being separated from the outer side surface of the plug side wall 12.
When a header a is inserted into the socket B, the longitudinal peripheral wall 312 of the header reinforcing member 30 first contacts the guide parts 611, 662 and the guide slope 663 and is guided to be aligned with the header guide receiving cavity 433, and is pressed down, the contact protrusion 653 makes electrical contact with the contact part (longitudinal peripheral wall) 312 of the header reinforcing member 30 to transmit current, and the elastic body arm 652 is pressed toward the thin wall part 4422 to be deformed and provide elastic force. The plug reinforcement 30 and the socket reinforcement 60 transmit electric current through the two contact portions 312 and the two contact protrusions 653 in the longitudinal direction, and the transmission load for the electric current can reach 15 amperes.
When the plug a is matched with the socket B, the island portion 45 is accommodated in the island portion receiving cavity 13 of the plug a, the plug side wall 12 of the plug a is accommodated in the plug side wall receiving cavity 43 of the socket B, and the plug guide portion 14 is guided into the socket guide portion 44. The plug terminal 20 is clamped between the first and second contact portions 53 and 52 of the socket terminal 50, and the first and second contact portions 22 and 23 of the plug terminal 20 are electrically contacted with the first and second contact portions 53 and 52 of the socket terminal 50, respectively.
In this embodiment, the transverse covering bottom 321 and the longitudinal covering bottom 322 are respectively formed by bending and extending, and a certain gap is formed between the two; in an embodiment, the transverse covering bottom 321 and the longitudinal covering bottom 322 may also be an integral structure, and are manufactured by a stretching process, so that the exposed surface of the plug reinforcement 30 is further enlarged, the heat dissipation capability of the plug reinforcement 30 is increased, and the current passing capability is improved.
When in an operating state, electric current is conducted from the contact protrusion 653 of the socket B to the longitudinal peripheral wall 312 of the header reinforcing member 30, and flows into the corresponding printed circuit board along the longitudinal peripheral wall 312, the lateral peripheral wall 311, the extension base 331, and the pair of solder tails 332.
The thickness of the plug reinforcement 30 is greater than the thickness of the plug terminal 20 so that the plug reinforcement 30 obtains a lower resistance.
Compared with the prior art, the application board has the advantages that the covering top part 33 of the plug reinforcing part 30 of the board-to-board plug A extends from the top part of the peripheral wall 31 to the top wall 11 in a bending mode, so that the area of the plug reinforcing part 30 is increased, the plug guide part 14 is tightly wrapped to increase the strength of the plug guide part 14, meanwhile, the surface area of the plug reinforcing part 30 is increased, and favorable conditions are created for heat dissipation problems possibly occurring in large-current transmission.
Example two
Please refer to fig. 2, 13 to 15, which are schematic views of a second embodiment of a board-to-board plug a according to the present application.
Compared with the first embodiment, the second embodiment is different in that: the joint between the extension base 331 of the plug reinforcement 30 covering the top 33 and the solder leg 332 is bent upward to form a bent portion 334, and the bent portion 334 makes the horizontal position of the solder leg 332 higher than the horizontal position of the extension base 331. Eventually, the extension base 331 is completely wrapped in the top wall 11, i.e., the extension base 331 is not exposed to the outside. The guiding inclined plane 323 is further bent inward to wrap the plug guide portion 14.
