A terminal having a protection function, as shown in fig. 1 to 6, includes a terminal body 1 and a protector 2; the terminal body 1 comprises an elastic sheet 11 and an insertion cavity surrounded by the elastic sheet 11; the protection part 2 is sleeved on the terminal body 1, and the protection part 2 is provided with an opening 21 capable of accommodating the elastic sheet to pass through in the radial direction; the openings 21 correspond to the elastic pieces 11 one by one. Taking the terminal body 1 to be arranged in the charging seat as an example, when the male terminal on the charging gun is inserted into the plug-in cavity enclosed by the elastic sheet 11 of the terminal body 1, the male terminal can extrude the elastic sheet 11 from inside to outside, so that the elastic sheet 11 is opened to realize interference fit. In actual use, the elastic sheet is easily extruded by surrounding equipment to deform. During plugging, the male terminal is not inserted into the plugging cavity, and an additional plugging force is applied to one of the elastic sheets 11 to deform the elastic sheet. The deformed elastic piece 11 is more likely to wear the plating layer during repeated insertion and extraction of the male terminal. When the plating layer is worn and the material of the terminal body 1 is exposed, the resistance of the terminal body 1 is increased, the conductivity is reduced, and the charging efficiency is seriously affected. After the protection part 2 is installed, the protection part 2 can protect the elastic piece 11. Protection part 2 cup joints on terminal body 1, and public end terminal can receive the restraint of 2 tip of protection part when inserting the grafting chamber, can just insert to the grafting chamber. The protective part 2 can also support the elastic sheet 11 integrally, and prevent other devices from extruding the elastic sheet. The opening 21 of the protection part 2 is larger than the elastic sheet 11, when the elastic sheet 11 is squeezed by the male terminal from inside to outside, the elastic sheet 11 can be opened through the opening 21, and the male terminal is plugged.
In some embodiments, the inner diameter of the plug cavity decreases towards the free end of the elastic piece 11. The aperture of the plug cavity on one side of the free end of the elastic sheet 11 is the smallest, so that the male terminal can be inserted into the plug cavity, the elastic sheet 11 has a larger deformation space, and the male terminal has a larger gripping force after being inserted.
In some embodiments, the terminal body 1 is provided with a fastening point 12 protruding from the surface of the terminal body 1, the protecting part 2 is provided with a fastening opening 22, and the protecting part 2 and the terminal body 1 are fastened together through the fastening opening 22 and the fastening point 12. As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the bayonet 22 is engaged with the engagement point 12, so that the protection portion 2 is fixed to the terminal body 1. An axial crack can be arranged on the protection part 2 to facilitate the slight deformation of the protection part 2 and the insertion on the clamping point 12.
In some embodiments, the terminal body 1 is provided with a holding portion 13, the holding portion 13 has an inclined surface facing the free end of the elastic piece 11 and a clamping surface facing the other end of the elastic piece 11 and protruding out of the surface of the terminal body 1, and the clamping surface is perpendicular to the surface of the terminal body 1; the protective part 2 is provided with a clamping opening 23 clamped with the clamping part 13. The clamping opening 23 is clamped with the clamping part 13 along the inclined surface, and after clamping, the clamping surface limits the clamping opening 23 to be separated, so that clamping is completed.
Further, a U-shaped clamping groove 24 is formed in the protection portion 2, a blocking portion 14 is formed in the terminal body 1, and the U-shaped clamping groove 24 is matched with the blocking portion 14 to restrain the protection portion 2 from moving from the free end of the elastic piece 11 to the other end of the elastic piece. As shown in fig. 3, the clamping surface of the clamping portion 13 can only block the movement of the protection portion 2 in one direction in the axial direction, and the U-shaped clamping groove and the blocking portion 14 can cooperate to block the movement of the protection portion 2 in the other direction in the axial direction.
In some embodiments, the terminal body 1 further comprises a connection end 15, the connection end 15 being connected with a cable. As shown in fig. 4, the connection terminal 15 is connected to a cable to transmit power and signals. The cross-sectional shape of the connecting end 15 is circular, oval, open ring, U-shaped, flat plate, or polygonal, and different cross-sectional shapes can be selected according to the cross-sectional shape of the cable or the corresponding connection mode. The connection of the connection end 15 and the cable can be performed by crimping or welding, the crimping is performed by mechanical deformation, pressure is applied to deform the connection end 15 and a part of the cable inside the connection end, and the cable and the inside of the connection end 15 are in full contact and are connected together by friction. The welding modes comprise ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, arc welding, pressure welding, electromagnetic welding, laser welding and the like, and the connecting end 15 and part of cables are welded together to realize stable electrical performance and mechanical performance.
In some embodiments, the terminal body 1 is injection molded with a support body 3. As shown in fig. 5, the support body 3 may be formed by injection molding into the terminal body 1, and may support the terminal body 1 to prevent deformation thereof.
In some embodiments, the shield 2 has an axial opening 25. As shown in fig. 6, the opening 25 provides tension to the protector 2, facilitating the sheathing of the protector 2 on the terminal body.
In some embodiments, the sum of the surface areas of the openings 21 is 55% to 96% of the surface area of the shield part 2. If the ratio of the surface area of the opening 21 is too small, the elastic piece 11 cannot sufficiently extend out of the opening 21, and if the sum of the surface areas of the openings 21 is too large, the surface area of the protection part 2 is too large, which may cause insufficient rigidity and insufficient supporting force of the protection part, and thus, the terminal body 1 cannot be sufficiently protected. In order to find a suitable ratio of the sum of the surface areas of the openings 21 to the surface area of the protection part 2, the inventor carried out a relevant test by selecting the same terminal body 1 and different protection parts 2, and inserting the male terminal into the terminal body 1 if the sum of the surface areas of the protection parts 2 is different, and if the protection parts do not affect the spreading of the elastic sheet 11, the test is qualified. Further, the guard 2 was placed horizontally, the guard 2 was pressed with a force of 80N, and if the guard 2 was deformed, it was determined to be defective, and the results are shown in table 1.

As shown in table 1, when the ratio of the sum of the surface areas of the openings 21 to the surface area of the protector 2 is less than 55%, the openings 21 will block the spreading of the elastic sheet because they are not wide enough. When the ratio of the sum of the surface areas of the openings 21 to the surface area of the protector 2 is greater than 96%, the strength of the protector 2 cannot be ensured, and the protector deforms under a pressure of 80N, which inevitably further affects the normal operation of the terminal body 1 in actual use, and therefore, the inventors prefer that the sum of the surface areas of the openings 21 is 55% to 96% of the surface area of the protector 2.
In some embodiments, the terminal body 1 is provided with a mounting hole 16 for mounting a temperature sensor. As shown in fig. 4, the temperature sensor is interference fitted with the mounting hole 16. Or the outer wall of the temperature sensor is provided with external threads, the mounting hole 16 is provided with internal threads, and the temperature sensor is in threaded connection with the mounting hole 16. The temperature sensor may be installed and then connected to the transmission cable. The temperature sensor is externally provided with a shielding layer, so that the interference of an external magnetic field to the temperature sensor can be shielded, the stability and undistortion of signals transmitted by the temperature sensor are ensured, and the accuracy of data is ensured. The temperature sensor is an NTC temperature sensor or a PTC temperature sensor. The two temperature sensors have the advantages of small volume and capability of measuring gaps which cannot be measured by other thermometers; the use is convenient, and the resistance value can be randomly selected from 0.1-100 k omega; the cable connector is easy to process into a complex shape, can be produced in large batch, has good stability and strong overload capacity, and is suitable for a product with small requirement on volume and stable performance, such as an adapter.
In some embodiments, the terminal body 1 and the protective part 2 are cut or stamped or bent from a plate material. The base material of the terminal body 1 is sheet-shaped, the processing mode of stamping or cutting or bending of the plate is simple, the process is mature, the terminal body 1 can be rapidly processed in large batch with the protection part 2, the processing cost is saved, and the production efficiency is improved.
