8. A filter arrangement for a water container as claimed in claim 1 wherein the outer surface of said perimeter wall is provided with an annular sealing flange adjacent the lower end of said perimeter wall.

The filter assembly for a water container of claim 1 wherein said filter openings include a plurality of first filter openings having a height greater than a height of said second filter openings and a plurality of second filter openings spaced circumferentially around said bottom wall and surrounding said first filter openings.
10. A water container comprising a container body and a filter device provided in said container body, said filter device being a filter device for a water container according to any one of claims 1 to 9.
11. A water container as claimed in claim 10, wherein said filter means includes a peripheral wall having a flange at an upper end thereof extending radially outwardly of said peripheral wall, at least one resilient latch arm on an outer surface of said peripheral wall, and an annular sealing flange on said outer surface of said peripheral wall adjacent a lower end thereof, said flange being adapted to be received on an upper end surface of said container body, said resilient latch arm being adapted to abut against an inner peripheral wall surface of said container body, said annular sealing flange being adapted to be sealingly engaged with said inner peripheral wall surface of said container body.
