Description

Tongue side self-locking straight wire appliance
Technical Field
The utility model relates to the field of orthodontic brackets, in particular to a lingual self-locking straight wire arch appliance.
Background
The orthodontic appliance commonly used comprises a labial fixation correcting system, a lingual fixation correcting system and an invisible bracket-free correcting system. In the correction process, the lip side corrector has larger influence on the appearance due to the intuition and visibility. The invisible bracket-free correction is worn by the patient, and depends on the subjective fitting degree of the patient. The tongue side correction device is fixed on the inner side surface of the teeth of a patient, has higher attractiveness and concealment, does not depend on the wearing fit of the patient, and is more suitable for complex cases than the invisible bracket-free correction technology.
The existing lingual appliance system is divided into finished product and individuation according to the bracket manufacturing mode, and the individuation refers to an appliance which is manufactured by computer individuation design; self-locking and traditional non-self-locking are adopted according to the ligation mode of the arch wire and the bracket; the arch wire is divided into a straight wire arch and a mushroom arch according to the shape of the arch wire; slots classified according to slot size as 0.018 by 0.025 inch and 0.018 by 0.018 inch; the device is divided into a vertical groove and a horizontal groove according to the groove direction. At present, the personalized 0.018 multiplied by 0.025 inch vertical mushroom arch self-locking or non-self-locking system is commonly used in China, and the finished 0.018 multiplied by 0.018 inch horizontal groove self-locking straight wire arch system is available abroad.
The non-self-locking lingual appliance is complex to operate, the bracket is fixed on the inner side surface of the tooth of a patient, the operation difficulty of a doctor is obviously increased compared with that of the labial fixing appliance, the patient is required to perform related operations in a large-mouth state, and the longer the operation time is, the higher the discomfort of the patient is. Although the arch wire is fixed on the appliance through the lock cover structure of the tongue side self-locking bracket, the ligature wire and the ligation of accessories such as rubber chains are not needed, the operation time is reduced, however, the operation difficulty is larger because the tongue side self-locking bracket is used, the arch wire can not be completely put in place when entering the appliance groove, and therefore the groove of the bracket needs to reserve a larger gap so as to close the lock cover, the connection of the arch wire and the bracket is realized, and the reserved gap leads the arch wire and the groove to be not completely attached, the arch wire can not perfectly realize the tooth movement which is expected by a doctor through the bracket, the correction effect is influenced, and the correction time is prolonged.
0.018 by 0.025 inch vertical mushroom arches use 0.016 by 0.022 inch or 0.017 by 0.025 inch banded archwires, which are difficult for a physician to adjust during clinical procedures, especially for 0.022 inch or 0.025 inch vertical archwire which is difficult to adjust to slot; the mushroom-shaped arch wire has a larger bending point in the distal part of the cuspid to influence the movement of the anterior teeth and the closing of the gap between the anterior teeth, so that the efficiency is lower; meanwhile, the mushroom-type arch wire shape increases the length of the arch wire, reduces the rigidity of the arch wire and needs to use the arch wire with larger diameter. And the 0.018 multiplied by 0.018 inch square horizontal groove is easy to remove the arch wire from the groove during the process of positioning the arch wire or during the retraction of anterior teeth in an extraction case, and the arch wire is difficult to position and close the locking cover when the 0.018 multiplied by 0.018 inch full-size arch wire is used.
