Detailed Description
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present disclosure, and it is obvious that the described embodiments are only a part of the embodiments of the present disclosure, and not all of the embodiments. All other embodiments, which can be derived by a person skilled in the art from the embodiments disclosed herein without making any creative effort, shall fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.
The fold-in display product, for example, a fold-in mobile phone, is characterized in that after the mobile phone is unfolded, display screens (such as display panels described below) are distributed on the front and back of the mobile phone, a part of the display screen on the front can be called a main screen (such as a main display part described below), a part of the display screen on the back can be called an auxiliary screen (such as an auxiliary display part described below), the size of the auxiliary screen is smaller than that of the main screen, after the mobile phone is folded in half, the main screen is bent and located inside the mobile phone, and is displayed only by the auxiliary screen. Therefore, the mobile phone can have a large-size display area (the area of the main screen) while having a small design size, and can still acquire information or operate the mobile phone through the auxiliary screen after the mobile phone is folded.
As is known from the display mode of the above-described fold-in display product, the main panel can be protected by being folded, while the sub panel is always exposed, and accordingly, a connection portion (e.g., a surrounding portion described below) for connecting the main panel and the sub panel in the display panel is also exposed. Thus, the sub-screen and the surrounding portion of the display screen are easily damaged by friction or collision of foreign objects.
At least one embodiment of the present disclosure provides a cover plate and a display device including the same, which may solve the above technical problems. The display device includes a flexible display panel, a support assembly, and a first cover plate. The flexible display panel includes a main display part, a surrounding part, and an auxiliary display part, which are sequentially connected. The support assembly includes first and second supports coupled to each other, the first and second supports being configured to be rotatable at a coupling portion to each other, the first and second supports including first and second front surfaces for commonly supporting the main display part, respectively, the first support further including a first back surface opposite to the first front surface and a first side surface located away from an end coupled to the second support. The first cover plate is positioned on one side of the display panel, which faces away from the support assembly, and is configured to at least partially cover the surrounding portion and the auxiliary display portion. Thus, the surrounding part and the auxiliary display part of the display panel are covered by the first cover plate, so that the risk of being scratched and damaged is reduced.
Hereinafter, a structure of a cover plate and a display device according to at least one embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, and further, since the cover plate is used in the display device, in the following embodiments, the structure of the cover plate will be described at the same time by describing the structure of the display device.
In the display device as shown in fig. 1 to 3, the display panel 100 is laid on the first and second support portions 210 and 220 of the support assembly, the first and second support portions 210 and 220 are connected together by the connection portion 230, and the connection portion 230 may be bent such that the first and second support portions 210 and 220 may be relatively rotated. The display panel 100 is divided into a main display part 110, a surrounding part 120, and a sub display part 130, which are sequentially connected, the main display part 110 is laid on a first support part 210 and a second support part 220, a surface of the first support part 210 for supporting the main display part 110 is a first front surface 211, and a surface of the second support part 220 for supporting the main display part 110 is a second front surface 221. The sub display portion 130 is positioned on a first back surface 212 of the first support portion 210 opposite to the first front surface 211, and a first side surface 213 of the first support portion 210 for connecting the first front surface 211 and the first back surface 212 and facing away from the connection portion 230 is for supporting the surrounding portion 120. The first cover plate 300 is attached to a side of the display panel 100 facing away from the support assembly by a transparent optical adhesive 400 (e.g., OCA adhesive) to cover the sub-surround part 120 and the display part 130 of the display panel 100. In this way, the first cover plate 300 may protect the sub-surrounding portion 120 and the display portion 130.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, the display panel 100 is an independent panel structure, that is, the main display portion 110, the surrounding portion 120 and the sub display portion 130 have the capability of displaying an image together, and the image is continuous at the boundary of the main display portion 110, the surrounding portion 120 and the sub display portion 130.
In at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, a display device is provided that is configured to be switchable between a first state and a second state. In the first state, the first front surface of the first supporting part is opposite to the second front surface of the second supporting part, so that the main display part of the display panel is bent at the junction of the first supporting part and the second supporting part. In the second state, the plane of the first front surface of the first supporting part is coplanar with the plane of the second front surface of the second supporting part, so that the main display part of the display panel extends to be in a planar structure. Exemplarily, as shown in fig. 1 to 3, the display device is folded in a first state as shown in fig. 1 so as to have a small size for easy carrying and placement, in which case, the first support 210 and the second support 220 are opposite, the main display portion 110 of the display panel 100 is located between the first support 210 and the second support 220, and the sub display portion 110 of the display panel 100 is located on a side of the first support 210 facing away from the second support 220; alternatively, the display device is unfolded in the second state as shown in fig. 3, so that large-screen display can be realized by the main display section, in this case, the first support section 210 and the second support section 220 are disposed opposite to each other substantially in the same plane, so that the main display section 110 of the display panel 100 has a substantially planar structure (the first front surface 211 and the second front surface 221 are substantially coplanar, that is, the surfaces on which both are disposed are substantially in the same plane).
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present disclosure, the display panel itself may have a cover structure, which is used to protect devices inside the panel, but it needs to be designed as a flexible cover to make the panel have high bending performance, so the protection capability of the flexible cover to the display panel is low, that is, the cover structure of the display panel itself is different from the first cover described above. Next, a structure of the display panel will be described.
For example, in a display device provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, a display panel includes a display substrate and a flexible second cover plate that are sequentially stacked on a support member. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 4, the display panel includes a display substrate 10, an encapsulation layer 20, and a second cover plate 30, which are sequentially stacked. The second cover 30 is a flexible cover, so that the display panel has good bending capability. For example, the display substrate 10 may be an organic light emitting display substrate, which may include an array substrate and a display functional layer stacked on each other, in which light emitting devices are formed in an array arrangement to realize image display. The encapsulation layer 20 covers the display substrate 10 to protect the light emitting devices therein.
For example, in a display device provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, the hardness of the first cover plate is greater than that of the second cover plate, that is, the first cover plate is a rigid cover plate, and the second cover plate is a flexible cover plate.
For example, as shown in fig. 4, the display panel further includes a touch structure 40 located between the encapsulation layer 20 and the second cover plate 30, and the touch structure 40 is directly formed on the surface of the encapsulation layer 20, so that the display device has a touch function.
For example, in some embodiments of the present disclosure, the second cover plate covers the entire display substrate, such that the first cover plate and the second cover plate overlap at least the surrounding portion and the sub display portion of the display panel.
For example, in other embodiments of the disclosure, the second cover plate is disposed in a region of the display panel not covered by the first cover plate, so that the second cover plate is not covered by at least the surrounding portion and the sub-display portion of the display panel, which is beneficial to the light and thin design of the display panel.
In the embodiment of the disclosure, on the premise that the first cover plate can cover the surrounding portion and the auxiliary display portion of the display panel, the covering area of the first cover plate on the display panel is not further limited, and the first cover plate can be specifically designed according to actual process requirements. Next, the range of the first cover plate covering the display panel will be described with reference to several specific embodiments.
In some embodiments of the present disclosure, an end of the first cover plate away from the portion covering the sub display portion is located at an interface of the main display portion and the surrounding portion. Therefore, the first cover plate can not cover the main display part of the display panel, namely the edge of the first cover plate can not be displayed on the main display surface of the display panel, and the risk of reducing the image display effect caused by the arrangement of the first cover plate is reduced. Exemplarily, as shown in fig. 1 and 3, a boundary of the main display portion 110 and the surrounding portion 120 of the display panel 100 is denoted by S, and one end of the first cover 300 extends to the boundary S, so that the first cover 300 only completely covers the surrounding portion 120 and the sub display portion 130 of the display panel 100, and the display surfaces of the main display portion 110 and the sub display portion 130 for displaying do not have a visual difference due to the arrangement of the first cover 300; in addition, when the display device is folded, the first cover 300 does not press a portion of the display panel 100 supported by the second supporting portion 220, thereby preventing the display panel 100 from being damaged due to the provision of the first cover 300.
In other embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided a display device in which an end of the first cover plate, which is away from a portion covering the sub display part, is located on the main display part. Thus, the first cover plate can protect the main display part, so that the risk that the display panel is damaged is further reduced. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 5, the first cover 300a covers the main display portion of the display panel 100 a.
In a display device provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, the main display portion includes a first sub main display portion supported by the first support portion and a second sub main display portion supported by the second support portion. One end of the first cover plate, which is far away from the part covering the auxiliary display part, is positioned on the first sub-main display part; or one end of the first cover plate, which is far away from the part covering the auxiliary display part, is positioned at the junction of the first sub-main display part and the second sub-main display part. In this way, the first cover plate is not exposed to being bent continuously in use, thereby allowing the first cover plate to be designed with greater rigidity (e.g., greater rigidity), and improving the protective effect of the first cover plate on the display panel. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 5, an edge of the first cover 300a extends to the connection part 230, so that the first cover 300a is not bent even when the display device is folded into the first state. In addition, in the bending region where the connection portion 230 is located, the display panel 100a may be bent frequently, so that a certain crease (or referred to as a wrinkle) may be generated, and in the case that the edge of the first cover 300a extends to the region to be bent, the visibility of the edge of the first cover 300a is reduced in comparison with the crease.
One advantage of the fold-in electronic display product is that there is no bezel in the surround area, thereby giving the user a higher visual experience. After the first cover plate is additionally arranged on the display panel, in the display process of the display panel, the edge of the first cover plate, which is positioned on the display panel, may cause interference (such as refraction difference, diffraction and the like) to light emitted by the display panel, so that when the image display is performed through the main display part, the edge of the first cover plate can be visually seen, thereby interfering with the display of the image. In the above embodiments, it is still difficult to avoid the above problem by only providing the edge position of the first cover plate.
In the display device provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first cover plate includes a first portion for covering the sub-display portion and a second portion for covering the surrounding area, a side surface of the first cover plate on a side of the second portion facing away from the first portion is an inclined surface, a surface of the first cover plate facing away from the display panel and the inclined surface have a first intersection line, and a surface of the first cover plate facing the display panel and the inclined surface have a second intersection line. Along a surface of the display panel facing the first cover plate, a distance of an orthographic projection of the first intersection line on the surface of the display panel facing the first cover plate to the sub-display portion is smaller than a distance of the second intersection line to the sub-display portion. Therefore, the probability that the edge of the first cover plate is visible can be reduced, and the display effect of the display image is improved. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 6, an end of the first cover 300b extending toward the main display portion of the display panel 100b has a side surface 101b, and along an extending track of the display panel (extending from a first back surface to a first front surface of the first support portion), a first intersection line 102b of the side surface 101b with a surface of the first cover 300b facing away from the display panel 100b is closer to the sub display portion of the display panel 100b than a second intersection line 103b of the side surface 101b with a surface of the first cover 300b facing toward the display panel 100b, so that the side surface 101b is an overall slope forming a certain slope with respect to the surface of the display panel, and thus, the light transmittance of the first cover 300b at the slope is gradually changed, thereby reducing the risk of the edge of the first cover 300b on the display panel 100b being visually seen. It should be noted that the orthographic projection of the first intersection line 102b on the surface of the display panel 100b facing the first cover 300b may be a connection line of the points of the display panel 100b which are the smallest distance from the first intersection line 102b, and the connection line is parallel to the first intersection line 102 b.
In at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, a display device is provided, in which a surface of the first cover plate facing away from the display panel smoothly meets the inclined surface, and/or the inclined surface smoothly meets the surface of the display panel. Therefore, the first and second intersecting lines cannot be visually seen, so that the probability of visibility of the edge of the first cover plate can be further reduced, and the display effect of the display image can be further improved.
In the display device provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, an included angle between a plane defined by the first intersection line and the second intersection line and a tangent line of the display panel at the second intersection line is 10 to 50 degrees, for example, further 15 degrees, 20 degrees, 58 degrees, 30 degrees, 35 degrees, 40 degrees, and the like. Illustratively, as shown in fig. 6, a plane defined by the first intersection line and the second intersection line of the side surface 101b (if the side surface 101b is a plane, the plane is the plane of the side surface 101 b) is P1, an included angle (acute angle) of a tangent line P2 of the display panel at the second intersection line (the tangent line is located in the plane of the surface of the main display portion of the display panel facing away from the supporting member) is 30 degrees, and accordingly, the included angle of the inclined plane and the portion of the display panel not covered by the first cover plate is 150 degrees.
In the embodiments of the present disclosure, the arrangement of the supporting component and other additional components of the display device is not limited, and may be designed according to the requirements of the actual process. For example, as shown in fig. 7, the display device may include a flexible screen 1, supporting steel sheets 2 and 12, a lower middle frame 3, an electronic system 4, a lower back cover 5, a camera cover 6, a supporter 8, a volume key 9, a power key 10, an upper middle frame 11, a folding rotation shaft 13, an acryl/glass cover plate 14, OCA glue 15, an upper pressing frame right 16, an upper pressing frame left 17, a hook 18, and a lower pressing frame 19. In a practical process, assembly may be performed in the following order: the flexible screen 1 and the supporting steel sheet 2 are attached to form a first assembly; assembling the lower middle frame 3, the upper middle frame 11, the supporting steel sheet 12 and the folding rotating shaft 13 to form a second assembly; assembling the support 8 with the second component to make up a third component; assembling the first component and the third component to form a fourth component; assembling the electronic system 4, the volume key 9, the power key 10 and the fourth component to form a fifth component; assembling the upper pressing frame right 16, the upper pressing frame left 17, the hook 18, the lower pressing frame 19 and the fifth component to form a sixth component; the acryl/glass cover plate 14 and the OCA glue 15 are assembled with the sixth assembly. In the structure shown in fig. 7, the flexible screen 1 is the aforementioned display panel, the acrylic/glass cover plate 14 may be the aforementioned first cover plate, and the support steel sheets 2 and 12, the lower middle frame 3, the upper middle frame 11, the folding rotating shaft 13, the upper pressing frame right 16, the upper pressing frame left 17, the hook 18 and the lower pressing frame 19 may constitute the aforementioned support assembly, wherein the folding rotating shaft 13 may be a connecting portion in the support assembly, the upper middle frame 11 may be a first support portion in the support assembly, and the lower middle frame 3 may be a second support portion in the support assembly.
In the embodiments of the present disclosure, the type of the display device is not limited, for example, the display device may be any product or component having an identification function, such as a mobile phone, a television, a display, a notebook computer, a digital photo frame, a navigator, an access control device, and the like.
The above description is only exemplary of the present disclosure and should not be taken as limiting the disclosure, as any modification, equivalent replacement, etc. made within the spirit and principle of the present disclosure should be included in the scope of protection of the present disclosure.
