Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a light bar and a connector according to an embodiment of the utility model. As shown in fig. 1, both ends of the light bar 1 include end connectors 11. The light bar 1 is connected with the connector 2 through the end connector 11. The connector 2 includes a main body 20 having a columnar shape and an upper PCBA board 21 provided inside the main body. A plurality of light bar connection windows 201 with different orientations are formed on the side surface of the main body 20, and are used for receiving the end connection members 11 of the light bars 1. The upper PCBA board 21 is provided with a light bar electric connection interface 211. The number of the light bar electric connection interfaces 211 is the same as that of the light bar connection windows 201. When the end connector 11 of the light bar 1 is inserted into the light bar connection window 201, the main body 20 can be mechanically connected to the end connector 11 of the light bar 1, and the light bar electrical connection interface 211 can be electrically connected to the end connector 11 of the light bar 1.
In fig. 1, reference numeral 201 merely identifies one light bar connection window for convenience of understanding. However, five other light bar connection windows identical to light bar connection window 201 are clearly shown in fig. 1. Therefore, the connector 2 in the present embodiment can simultaneously connect six light bars. Since the orientation of each light bar connection window is different, the connector 2 can connect the light bars in six different directions.
In the present embodiment, the connector 2 has a regular hexagonal prism shape. The light bar connection window 201 is provided at the upper end of six sides of the regular hexagonal prism shaped body 20. In other embodiments, the shape of the connector may be a regular prism having a number of sides of not less than three, such as a regular triangular prism, a regular quadrangular prism, a regular pentagonal prism, or the like. The upper end of each side of the regular prism-shaped connector can be provided with a light bar connection window. It should be noted that the shape of the connector is not limited to a regular prism shape, and other shapes such as a cylindrical shape or a tapered shape may be adopted. The light bar connecting windows can be arranged at the upper end part of the cylindrical surface or the conical surface at equal intervals.
In the present embodiment, the upper end portion of the prismatic main body 20 includes a plurality of partition walls 202a, 202b extending from the side edges of the main body 20 toward the inside of the main body 20. When the end connector 11 of the light bar 1 is inserted into the light bar connection window 201, the end connector 11 is mechanically connected to the partition walls 202a and 202b on both sides thereof. At this time, the end connector 11 is sandwiched between the partition walls 202a, 202b on both sides, and fixed in the connecting position by the partition walls 202a, 202b on both sides. It is to be noted that, for the sake of understanding, reference numerals 202a and 202b identify only two adjacent partition walls. However, as can be clearly seen in fig. 1, six partition walls are provided in the main body 20. The six divider walls divide the upper portion of the side walls of the main body 20 into six differently oriented light bar attachment windows.
In the present embodiment, the mechanical connection between the end connector 11 of the light bar 1 and the partition walls 202a and 202b of the connector 2 can be realized by a snap structure. Specifically, a fixing groove may be provided on each of the partition walls 202a, 202 b. When the end connector 11 of the light bar 1 is inserted into the light bar connection window 201, the light bar buckles 111 on both sides of the end connector 11 are respectively embedded into the fixing grooves on the partition walls 202a and 202b on both sides, so as to form a mechanical connection. It should be understood that the width of the fixing groove on each of the partition walls 202a, 202b may be set to be greater than or equal to the width of the two light bar hooks 111. In fact, since two adjacent light bar connection windows share one partition wall between them, the light bar buckles 111 on the end connectors 11 of two adjacent light bars may need to be received in the fixing grooves on the partition wall, and thus the width of the fixing grooves needs to be set to be greater than or equal to the width of the two light bar buckles. In addition, the positions of the lamp strip buckles 111 at both sides of the end connector 11 of each lamp strip need to be set to be staggered with each other so as to share the same fixing groove with the adjacent lamp strips when the lamp strip connection window is inserted. In other embodiments, two separate fixing slots may be provided on each partition wall for receiving two light bar fasteners facing the same partition wall on two adjacent end connectors 11.
Fig. 2 is an exploded schematic view of a connector according to an embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 3A, 3B, and 3C are a top view, a sectional view, and a bottom view, respectively, of the connector 2 shown in fig. 1.
