The filter apparatus of claim 9 wherein said filter cartridge is rotatably engaged to said base and has an abutment ramp at an end thereof facing said closure assembly; the abutment ramp is configured and adapted to urge the closure from a first position to a second position during rotation of the filter cartridge relative to the base into snapping engagement with the base.
