a filter element comprising a frame and a filter screen mounted on the frame;

8. The lint filter according to claim 1, wherein the lint filter comprises a plurality of said filter elements which are nested one within the other, the cleaning element being located in the innermost filter element.
9. Laundry dryer characterized in that it comprises a lint filter according to any one of claims 1 to 8.
