Background
The heat therapy is a therapeutic method in which a heat source medium is directly contacted with a human body to transfer heat into the human body. The heat energy can raise tissue temperature, and has antibacterial and anticancer effects, and can inhibit synthesis of DNA, RNA and protein. The heat effect on subacute and chronic inflammation can make local tissue vasodilatation, raise the immunological function of blood and lymphatic system and raise the permeability of blood vessel and tissue cell, so that the complement of in vivo antibody and synergistic antibody for killing or dissolving bacteria can be raised, and the absorption of inflammation product and tissue regeneration can be promoted. The local thermotherapy can be used for adjuvant therapy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy of tumor, and has remarkable thermotherapy effect on subacute and chronic inflammation, such as prostatic hyperplasia and gynecological pelvic inflammatory disease.
Thermotherapy needs to be assisted by thermotherapy instruments, and the thermotherapy instruments commonly used in the world at present are radio frequency, microwave, infrared ray and ultrasonic 4 types.
