Detailed Description
Hereinafter, a specific embodiment of a steering wheel assembly according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. The following detailed description and drawings are included to illustrate the principles of the utility model, which is not to be limited to the preferred embodiments described, but is to be defined by the appended claims.
In addition, spatially relative terms (such as "upper," "lower," "left," and "right," etc.) are used to describe one element's relative positional relationship with another element as illustrated in the figures. Spatially relative terms may therefore apply in other orientations than those illustrated in the figures, when used. It will be apparent that although for ease of illustration all of these spatially relative terms refer to the orientation shown in the drawings, those skilled in the art will appreciate that orientations other than those shown in the drawings may be used.
FIG. 1 shows a schematic view of a steering wheel assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 shows another schematic view of a steering wheel assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention. A steering wheel assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to fig. 1 and 2.
As shown in fig. 1, a steering wheel assembly 10 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a cover 100 for an airbag, and in addition, the steering wheel assembly 10 further includes a housing (not shown in fig. 1), and the cover 100 and the housing form a space for accommodating an air bag (not shown) of the airbag. Also, the airbag is located on a steering wheel base plate (not shown) of the steering wheel assembly 10.
With continued reference to fig. 1, the cover 100 includes a top wall 110 and a side wall 120. The top wall 110 is preferably a curved surface having a certain curvature, and the side wall 120 is connected to the top wall 110 at one side of the top wall 110 and surrounds one turn in the circumferential direction of the top wall 110, so that the top wall 110 and the side wall 120 together define a space, after which the case of the airbag is combined to form a space for accommodating the airbag.
In the present invention, the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is defined as the front-rear direction, the height direction of the vehicle is defined as the up-down direction, and the width direction of the vehicle is defined as the left-right direction, and the directions of the respective members in the steering wheel assembly of the present invention are defined in correspondence with the directions of the vehicle. Specifically, the top wall of the hood is defined based on the orientation in which the hood is installed in the vehicle, that is, the top wall of the hood is a wall located at the upper portion of the hood in the up-down direction of the vehicle when the hood is installed in the vehicle, and the orientations of the other members are defined in a similar manner, for example, the bottom surface of the side wall is a surface of the side wall located at the lower portion of the side wall in the up-down direction of the vehicle, and the bottom surface of the accommodating portion is a surface of the accommodating portion located at the lower portion of the accommodating portion in the up-down direction of the vehicle.
As shown in fig. 1, steering wheel assembly 10 also includes a light-emitting sign that is capable of emitting light when energized. The illuminated sign includes a light emitting member 210 and a printed circuit board 220, the light emitting member 210 being connected to the printed circuit board 220 via an electrical connector 230 (shown in fig. 2), the electrical connector 230 being a wire harness or a flexible circuit board. Specifically, the light emitting member 210 is disposed at the top wall 110 of the cover cap 100, for example, at a substantially central position of the top wall 110, and the light emitting member 210 may be disposed on an inner side surface of the top wall 110, i.e., an upper side surface of the top wall 110 shown in fig. 1, or an outer side surface, i.e., a lower side surface of the top wall 110 shown in fig. 1. The printed circuit board 220 is disposed in a receiving portion 1201 on the side wall 120 of the cover 100, the receiving portion 1201 being formed by a portion of the side wall 120 being recessed toward the outside of the cover 100. In other words, in the cover 100 shown in fig. 1, a portion of the side wall 120 is recessed substantially upwards (towards the outside of the cover), so that at the portion of the side wall 120 where the recess occurs a new space is expanded towards the outside of the cover with respect to the remaining portion, which new space is dedicated to accommodating a printed circuit board, which therefore does not occupy the space that would have been designed to accommodate an air bag.
Therefore, in the present invention, the printed circuit board is provided in the housing portion formed by recessing a portion of the sidewall of the cover toward the outside of the cover, the original inner space of the cover can be completely and entirely used for disposing the airbag, and when the airbag of the airbag is deployed, the printed circuit board is located in the housing portion so as not to be impacted by the airbag since it is not provided on the front side of the impact caused by the deployment of the airbag. Therefore, the printed circuit board provided by the utility model has better working performance and longer service life.
With continued reference to fig. 1. As shown in fig. 1, a fixing member for fixing the printed circuit board 220 is formed inside the accommodating part 1201. In one example, the fixing member is formed as a rib 1202, and the rib 1202 extends from an inner side surface of the accommodating portion 1201 toward the printed circuit board 220 in the circumferential direction of the cover 100 to fix the printed circuit board 220 in the accommodating portion 1201 in an interference fit manner. It will be appreciated that this example secures the printed circuit board in the receptacle of the cover in a simple and reliable manner,
as a preferred embodiment, ribs 1202 are respectively provided on opposite inner side surfaces of the accommodating portion 1201 so that the printed circuit board 220 forms an interference fit with the accommodating portion 1201 in a thickness direction thereof. It can be appreciated that having the printed circuit board form an interference fit with the receptacle in the thickness direction facilitates a smaller dimension of the receptacle in the circumferential direction of the cover, thereby making better use of the cylindrical configuration of the side walls of the cover.
As a preferred embodiment, the fixing member includes a plurality of pairs of ribs 1202, for example, four pairs of ribs 1202, which are disposed to oppose each other in the circumferential direction of the canopy 100. It can be understood that in the cover 100 shown in fig. 1, one rib 1202 of the left inner side surface of the accommodating portion 1201 and one rib 1202 of the right inner side surface thereof opposite to the circumferential direction of the cover 100 are referred to as a pair of ribs 1202, and four pairs of such ribs are shown in the embodiment of fig. 1 in total, which arrangement facilitates the printed circuit board 220 to be uniformly stressed so as not to be easily deformed. It will be appreciated that this is merely an example and that the steering wheel assembly of the present invention is not limited thereto, and for example, more than 4 pairs of ribs or less than 4 pairs of ribs may be provided, and for example, ribs may be provided on only one inner side surface of the receiving portion as needed in some cases.
As a preferred embodiment, the ribs are arranged to extend from 1mm to 2mm from the inner side of the accommodating portion toward the printed circuit board. Of course, this is merely an example, and the above-described extending length of the rib may be adjusted according to the required interference.
As shown in fig. 1, as a preferred embodiment, the receiving portion 1201 is configured to extend from the top wall 110 of the cap 100 up to a distance from the edge of the side wall 120. It will be appreciated that this facilitates a simple design of the mould during the casting process.
Further, as shown in fig. 2, an opening 1201A for passing a wire harness 240 is provided on the bottom surface of the accommodating portion 1201, the wire harness 240 being used for connecting the printed circuit board 220 to a predetermined position of the vehicle, for example, to a power source of the vehicle or an overall controller of the vehicle. Also, the bottom surface of the accommodating part 1201 is provided as an inclined surface close to the top wall 110 in the direction toward the outside of the hood 100. It can be understood that the inclined surface is beneficial to the situation that foreign matters such as dust cannot stay and quickly slide off when falling to the surface, so that the foreign matters are not easy to enter the accommodating part from the opening on the inclined surface to pollute the printed circuit board.
In the steering wheel assembly of the present invention, the arrangement position of the printed circuit board of the light emitting sign is not limited to the specific position shown in fig. 1 and 2. In the case where it is satisfied that a part of the side wall can be recessed toward the outside of the hood to form the receiving portion, the printed circuit board may be provided on the substrate at any position in the circumferential direction of the side wall of the hood, for example, when the hood is mounted in a vehicle, the printed circuit board may be located in the 6 o 'clock direction, or the 12 o' clock direction, or the 3 o 'clock direction, or the 9 o' clock direction of the hood, and any other direction, with respect to the orientation of the hood in this case.
As a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the printed circuit board may be used to control one or more of timing, color, and intensity of light emission of the marker portion of the light emitting marker.
As a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the emblem part is configured to have one or more of a designed shape, pattern, and text for various purposes such as displaying brand information of a vehicle, decorating a steering wheel, and satisfying a customer's customization request.
As another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the index portion is, for example, a ring-shaped member (neither shown). Further, the luminous sign further includes a light guide plate, wherein the light guide plate is configured to make uniform the light entering the light guide plate from the light emitting member, and thereafter, the uniform light is irradiated to the sign portion to make the sign site a luminous ring which uniformly emits light.
As a further preferred embodiment of the utility model, the luminous element is provided as a light-emitting diode. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the number of leds may be arranged as desired.
As another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the light emitting sign further includes a flexible circuit board, and the light emitting diode is disposed on the flexible circuit board, and one end of the flexible circuit board is connected to the aforementioned printed circuit board via a wire harness, so that the printed circuit board can control the light emitting diode disposed on the flexible circuit board.
As a preferred embodiment of the utility model, the flexible circuit board is arranged to be glued to the cover, for example, to both the side walls and the top wall of the cover.
However, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the above preferred embodiments are only examples and that the steering wheel assembly of the present invention is not limited to the above examples. For example, the fixing member may be provided in other forms, such as a screw, by those skilled in the art according to actual working conditions.
As described above, although the exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been described in the description with reference to the drawings, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and the scope of the present invention should be defined by the claims and their equivalents.
