4. A hanging basket adapted to fit within the sink of any one of claims 1-3, wherein the hanging basket includes a cross bar configured to form a storage plane flush with the two first step portions of the sink when the hanging basket is disposed within the sink.

5. The hanging basket according to claim 4, wherein an outer side of the cross bar is flush with a rear vertical surface of the sink.

6. A sink assembly comprising a sink as claimed in claims 1 to 3 and a hanging basket as claimed in claim 4, the hanging basket being disposed within a recessed region of the sink.

7. The sink assembly of claim 6, wherein the storage surface of the sink assembly is provided with a water filtering device.

8. An integrated kitchen appliance, comprising the sink assembly of claim 6.
