Description

Vision sensor protection device
Technical Field
The utility model relates to the field of automation equipment, in particular to a visual sensor protection device.
Background
With the development of industrial technologies, vision sensors have been applied to various industries. For example, the welding industry gradually changes from manual welding to robot welding, and in order to improve the quality and efficiency of robot welding, a vision sensor is used for searching the position of a welded workpiece, so that the use of the vision sensor in the robot welding application field is also more and more extensive. Commonly used vision sensors include CCD sensors, point laser sensors, line laser sensors. Because pollutants such as high temperature, metal splash, welding fume and the like can be generated in the welding process to damage or pollute the visual sensor, and after the visual sensor is damaged or polluted, the function of the visual sensor is influenced, which mainly shows that the position is not accurately found to influence the welding work efficiency and the welding quality, so the protection of the welding visual sensor is particularly important.
At present, in the welding industry, there are many protection schemes for various visual sensors, for example, the visual sensor and a welding gun are separated by using materials, the protection lens of the visual sensor is replaced periodically, and a metal box is added to protect and weld the visual sensor, but the protection effects are uneven. For example, separating the vision sensor from the welding gun by a material is only suitable for special machine welding; the welding vision sensor protective lens is replaced regularly, the cost is high, the replacement period is not easy to evaluate, and if the hinge is used, the metal shell protects the defects that the hinge is short in service life due to more times of opening and closing and the like.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
In view of the above problems, it is an object of the present invention to provide a visual sensor protection device for solving at least one of the above problems.

When an element is referred to as being "connected" to another element, it can be directly connected to the other element or intervening elements may also be present. The terms "vertical," "horizontal," "upper," "lower," "left," "right," and the like as used herein are for illustrative purposes only and do not denote a unique embodiment.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this application belongs. The terminology used herein in the description of the present application is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the application. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
Referring to fig. 1, an embodiment of the present invention provides a vision sensor protection device. The vision sensor protection device may include components such as a housing 1, a vision sensor 14, and a protective cover 10. The vision sensor 14 may be at least partially located within the housing 1, and the protective cover 10 may be opened when the vision sensor 14 is in operation and closed when the vision sensor 14 is not in operation, thereby protecting the vision sensor 14.
In a specific embodiment, the housing 1 may be an aluminum member. The housing 1 may have a cavity therein that houses the vision sensor 14. Both sides of the housing 1 in the direction of the paper surface may be opened, thereby ensuring that the vision sensor 14 placed in the housing 1 can transmit and receive an electric signal or an optical signal to the outside through the opening. The lower part of the housing 1 can be fixed to the machine by means of fixing elements, for example by means of screws 6 plus spring washers 7 and nuts 8.
The protective cover 10 can be arranged on the housing 1 and can be rotated relative to the housing 1. For example, the protective cover 10 may be located at one side of the opening of the housing 1 having the working portion of the visual sensor 14, thereby protecting the working portion. The protective cover 10 may comprise a first layer 3 of metal, for example aluminium, on the outside and a second layer 4 of a non-metallic material, for example plastic, on the inside. The first layer 3 of metal ensures a good strength of the outer side of the protective cover 10. The second layer 4 of non-metallic material ensures that the inner side of the protective cover 10 can contact the vision sensor 14 without damaging the vision sensor 14 due to its excessive hardness. The first layer 3 and the second layer 4 can be fixedly connected together by means of fasteners, for example by means of screws 11, 12 and spring washers 13. The second layer structure 4 is connected with the shell 1 through a hinge or a rotating shaft.
In order to be able to open the protective cover 10 when the visual sensor 14 is active and to close it when the visual sensor 14 is inactive, the housing 1 can also be provided with a drive device, which can be, for example, a pneumatic finger 5. The pneumatic finger 5 may use compressed air as power to drive the protective cover 10 to open and close.
For example, when the visual sensor 14 is in the protected state, the pneumatic finger 5 is in the closed state at this time, and the protective cover 10 is in the closed state, so that the protective cover 10 can prevent the welding visual sensor 14 from being contaminated/damaged by high temperature, metal spatter, welding fume and the like generated in the welding process, and has a protective effect on the visual sensing area. In the non-protection state when the vision sensor 14 is in operation: before welding, the pneumatic finger 5 is in an open state, and the protective cover 10 is in an open state. The vision sensing area of the vision sensor 14 can be scanned to the location of the welded workpiece to calculate the actual location of the workpiece. After the scanning is finished, the pneumatic finger 5 is closed, and the pneumatic finger 5 is in a closed state, so that the welding laser sensor protection device in the welding process can prevent the welding visual sensor 14 from being polluted/damaged by high temperature, metal splashing, welding smoke and the like generated in the welding process, and has a protection effect on a visual sensing area.
Optionally, a rear cover 2 may be disposed on the other side of the opening of the housing 1 along the paper surface direction, and the rear cover 2 may be detachable, so as to mount or detach the vision sensor 14 located in the housing 1. Further, in order to facilitate the installation of the vision sensor 14, a mounting member 15 is further provided in the housing 1, and the mounting member 15 is used for connecting the vision sensor 14 and the inner wall of the housing 1.
