The terms "upper", "lower", "left", "right", "inner", "outer" and the like as used herein are for illustrative purposes only.
Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this application belongs. The terminology used in the description of the present application is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of the present application. As used herein, the term "and/or" includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
Fig. 1-2 show an aerosol-generating device 10 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, which includes a housing, a bottom cover 13, a heater 15 housed in the housing, an adapter 16, a hollow tube 17, an upper end cover 18, a lower end cover 19, a circuit board 20, and a battery 21.
In this example, the housing is composed of a body 11, an upper cover 12, and a lower cover 13. The body 11 is a polyhedron structure with two open ends and a hollow interior, and is approximately cuboid; the upper cover 12 is fixed to an opening at one end of the body 11 to form a first end of the case, and the lower cover 13 is fixed to an opening at the other end of the body 11 to form a second end of the case, thereby forming a receiving space to receive the heater 15, the adaptor 16, the hollow tube 17, the upper cover 18, the lower cover 19, the circuit board 20, and the battery 21.
The heater 15 is tubular and forms a heating chamber therein, the heater 15 being for heating smokable material received in the heating chamber to generate an aerosol that can be inhaled. The heater 15 may heat the smokable material by one or more of thermal conduction, electromagnetic induction, chemical reaction, infrared action, resonance, photoelectric conversion, and photothermal conversion.
The adapter 16 is used for connecting the heater 15 and the hollow pipe 17, and the heating chamber is communicated with the hollow pipe 17 through the adapter 16. An upper end cap 18 is secured between the heater 15 and the upper cover 12, the upper cover 12 having a first opening a which communicates with the heating chamber through the upper end cap 18 through which smokable material may be received in and removed from the heating chamber. One end of the lower cap 19 abuts the hollow tube 17 and the other end of the lower cap 19 extends through the lower cap 13 to the outside of the housing (it is also conceivable that it does not extend to the outside of the housing and abuts the lower cap 13); the other end of the lower cap 19 forms a second opening B (which may be formed by the lower cap 13 when not extending outside the housing) that communicates with the hollow tube 17. Thus, a communicating chamber is formed between the first opening a and the second opening B.
The battery 21 provides power for operating the aerosol-generating device 10. For example, the battery 21 may provide power to heat the heater 15 and may provide power required to operate the circuit board 20. Furthermore, the battery 21 may provide the power required to operate other elements provided in the aerosol-generating device 10. The battery 21 may be, but is not limited to, a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, a lithium cobaltate (LiCoO2) battery, or a lithium titanate battery, etc. In this example, the battery 21 may be a rechargeable battery, the battery 21 being completely isolated from the circuit board 20 or the heater 15. In particular by means of a partition in the body 11. Thus, the problem that the heat of the circuit board 20 or the heater 15 is transferred to the battery 21, resulting in an excessive temperature of the battery 21, can be avoided.
The circuit board 20 is disposed between the heater 15 and the battery 21, and the circuit board 20 is also isolated from the heater 15. This prevents the aerosol generated by heating from flowing into the receiving space where the circuit board 20 is located. The circuit board 20 may control the overall operation of the aerosol-generating device 10. In detail, the circuit board 20 controls not only the operation of the battery 21 and the heater 15, but also the operation of other elements in the aerosol-generating device 10. Furthermore, the circuit board 20 may determine whether the aerosol-generating device 10 is operable by inspecting the status of the elements of the aerosol-generating device 10. Further, the aerosol-generating device 10 comprises a key 22, the key 22 being arranged on the upper cover 12, and the operation of the aerosol-generating device 10 being performed by pressing the key 22.
As shown in fig. 1, 3-4, the bottom cover 14 is detachably coupled to the lower cover 13. In this example, the width direction of the aerosol-generating device 10 may be the X-axis direction in fig. 1 or the negative semi-axis direction of the X-axis in fig. 1, the thickness direction of the aerosol-generating device 10 may be the Y-axis direction in fig. 1 or the negative semi-axis direction of the Y-axis in fig. 1, and the height direction of the aerosol-generating device 10 may be the Z-axis direction in fig. 1 or the negative semi-axis direction of the Z-axis in fig. 1. For ease of illustration, the following description will be made only in the direction shown in the drawings.
In this example, the bottom cap 14 is detachable from the lower cap 13 in a width direction of the aerosol-generating device 10 (a direction indicated by an arrow in fig. 3 or an X-axis direction in fig. 1) and is reversibly attachable to the lower cap 13 (in a direction opposite to the direction indicated by an arrow in fig. 3 or a negative semi-axis direction of the X-axis in fig. 1). Fig. 3 is a schematic view of the aerosol-generating device 10 before the bottom cap 14 is pushed or pulled, and fig. 4 is a schematic view of the aerosol-generating device 10 after the bottom cap 14 is pushed or pulled.
In this example, the bottom cap 14 has a closed end and an open end, a receiving cavity formed between the closed end and the open end, and a collection cavity 145 disposed within the receiving cavity; the collecting chamber 145 is used to collect objects falling or flowing out from the second opening B, for example: the residue after heating the smokable material. When the bottom cap 14 is coupled to the lower cap 13, the bottom cap 14 covers the second opening B and the collection chamber 145 is coaxial with the second opening B. The cross-sections of the collection chamber 145 and the second opening B are circular, and the diameter of the collection chamber 145 is larger than that of the second opening B. Further, the closed end of the bottom cover 14 further has a through hole 147, and the aerosol-generating device 10 further has a charging interface 135 disposed at the second end, the charging interface 135 being configured to be electrically connected to an external power source, so that the external power source can charge the battery 21; when the bottom cover 14 is connected to the lower cover 13, the bottom cover 14 exposes the charging interface 135 through the through hole 147 and the through hole 147 is coaxial with the charging interface 135.
As will be understood with reference to fig. 5 to 6, a first limiting groove 131 and a second limiting groove 132 are spaced apart from each other on the lower cover 13 along the width direction (X-axis direction in fig. 1) of the aerosol-generating device 10, and a first protrusion 141 matching with the first limiting groove 131 and a second protrusion 142 matching with the second limiting groove 132 are disposed on the bottom cover 14; the first bump 141 and the second bump 142 are protruded toward the same direction.
Two limiting grooves 134 are arranged on the lower cover 13 at intervals along the thickness direction (Y-axis direction in fig. 1) of the aerosol-generating device 10, and two projections 144 matched with the two limiting grooves 134 are arranged on the lower cover 14; wherein the two projections 144 project towards each other. The housing further has an extension 133 extending from the lower cover 13 toward the bottom cover 14, the bottom cover 14 having a positioning portion 143; the positioning portion 143 is used to position the extension portion 133 when the bottom cover 14 is coupled to the lower cover 13 so that the bottom cover 14 is detachably coupled to the lower cover 13.
Thus, when the bottom cover 14 needs to be connected to the lower cover 13, the extending portion 133 and the positioning portion 143 are first positioned, and then the bottom cover 14 is pushed in the direction opposite to the X-axis direction (negative half axis of the X-axis) shown in fig. 1, so that the positioning portion 143 moves relative to the extending portion 133; meanwhile, the protrusion 144 extends into the limiting groove 134 and moves along the limiting groove 134, the first protrusion 141 extends into the first limiting groove 131 and moves along the first limiting groove 131, and the second protrusion 142 moves along the second limiting groove 132; at the end of the movement, the first limiting groove 131 limits the first protrusion 141, the second limiting groove 132 limits the second protrusion 142, and the limiting groove 134 limits the protrusion 144, so as to prevent the bottom cover 14 from moving in other directions (except the X-axis direction shown in fig. 1), thereby connecting the bottom cover 14 to the bottom cover 13. When the bottom cover 14 needs to be detached from the lower cover 13, the operation process is the reverse of the above, and will not be described herein.
As shown in fig. 6, the bottom cover 14 has an airflow inlet 146. The airflow inlet 145 is formed by partially recessing the open end of the bottom cover 14 downward, and is disposed adjacent to the collection chamber 145. The end of the collection chamber 145 facing the second opening B has an air flow aperture 1451. As shown in fig. 2, when a user sucks the aerosol, the external air flows into the receiving cavity of the bottom cover 14 through the airflow inlet 146, flows into the second opening B through the airflow hole 1451, sequentially passes through the lower cap 19, the hollow tube 17, the adapter 16, the heating chamber, and the upper cap 18, and then flows out of the first opening a, thereby forming an airflow path (see arrows in the drawing).
It should be noted that the description of the present application and the accompanying drawings set forth preferred embodiments of the present application, however, the present application may be embodied in many different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described in the present application, which are not intended as additional limitations to the present application, but are provided for the purpose of providing a more thorough understanding of the present disclosure. Moreover, the above-mentioned technical features are combined with each other to form various embodiments which are not listed above, and all the embodiments are regarded as the scope described in the present specification; further, modifications and variations may occur to those skilled in the art in light of the foregoing description, and it is intended to cover all such modifications and variations as fall within the scope of the appended claims.
