8. The food processor of claim 6, wherein the top side of the cover has a mating surface parallel to the tapered surface, the mating surface contacting the second noise dampening member.
9. The food processor of claim 8, wherein the engagement surface has a rib that is an interference fit with the second noise dampening member.
