Abstract
A modular assembly adapted to construct a storage table and a storage table comprised of modular assemblies, said modular assembly comprising: a base module composed of a base plate and four upright side walls, wherein one side wall is provided with an opening; a plate-shaped connection module connected to the top of the base module and provided with an opening for inserting the storage module; one or more storage modules adapted to be inserted into and supported by the openings of the connection modules; and a cover to close the module. The first storage module consists of a storage compartment provided with a hinged lid recessed with respect to the top of the connection module, the second storage module is in the form of a rectangular tray, the third storage module is in the form of a self-balancing cup holder, and the fourth storage module separates the two modules and contains an elongated opening suitable for the insertion of a tool. The cover contains adjustable components adapted to support a book or electronic screen. The present application has easy adaptability, the user can organize the modular table in a way that is most suitable for himself, and provides as high a comfort as possible.
Description
Technical Field
The present application relates to a modular storage table for constructing a sofa or bed for use and a modular assembly adapted to construct a storage table. The table includes or incorporates various elements or modules as described below. Its primary purpose is to assist the user in organizing their supplies while relaxing or working on the sofa or bed. This may be accomplished by a number of storage compartments on a table according to the present application, various surfaces on which user accessories or items may be placed, beverage racks, and serving trays. The table contains several storage compartments, surfaces on which items can be placed or positioned vertically, drink racks and food trays, which can help users to organize their belongings on a sofa or bed.
Background
Today watching tv, reading books or playing electronic games on sofas or beds is part of people's daily life. At these relaxing moments, nobody would like to have the remote control slide between the cushions of the sofa or have their glass fall over due to being on an unstable surface. The end table is usually too far from the sofa and is forced to leave a comfortable position if the user feels thirsty, wants to change channels or wants to eat snacks. After only 20 minutes of reading, the user feels that his arm is heavy due to gravity. This uncomfortable feeling is very unpleasant and impairs the perfect reading experience. For all these problems, a storage table is an ideal solution. The user can not only know the positions of all the articles immediately, but also store them neatly without giving a sense of confusion. By collecting all these items in the storage table according to the present application, the user will be able to move all of his items from the sofa to the bed and vice versa more easily and quickly.
By means of the storage table, a user can easily touch all articles, so that the user can relax completely. He no longer needs to move around for individual items nor will his accessories be lost on the sitting cushion or bed. As shown below in the description of the table according to the present application, thanks to the convenient folding support, it is now also more comfortable to read, make a video call or watch a series of programs on a tablet computer.
State of the art
There are examples of similar products already on the market. These alternative products are usually constituted by a covering suspended from the arm rest, with storage spaces on its sides where various remote controls or magazines can be stored. Some versions of the product have a tray (often unstable) on top on which glasses, cups and/or savoury wine can be placed. The second product is a storage space in the form of a mat made of fabric or velvet. It can be placed on a bed or a sofa. The fabric typically has several cut-outs for the glass, cup or bowl.
Automotive consoles are also similar products. This may be in different environments, but the concept remains the same: storing different items in an efficient and user-friendly manner.
For the reader, there are usually some small "beanbags" with plates on which to place books or tablets. Thus, this application does not provide any storage space or convenient beverage holder.
The first type of product on the market ("hanging pouch") has the disadvantage that it does not prevent the containers (cups, bags, bowls, etc.) from eventually falling on the user's sofa and causing soiling. In addition, since it requires an armrest, it is limited to use on sofas. Its use is limited to "put something on it". The sofa's arms must also accommodate it. Today, there are a wide variety of sofas, even sofas without armrests.
The second product has the disadvantage that it is made of fabric. If something spills on or even inside, permanent stains may be left behind. The product also does not ensure that the glass or bowl remains stable when (slight) shocks are applied. Stability depends on the shape of the sofa and the durability of the cushion material. Due to the use of soft materials, the "cushion" can also be easily slid off the sofa. Unlike the table according to the present application, this product does not offer the possibility of reading books or e-readers in a more comfortable way. When the product is used for charging the smart phone, the used materials also have greater fire risk.
Therefore, there is a need for a storage table that does not have the above-mentioned disadvantages.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The present application is designed to overcome the above and other drawbacks by providing an assembly for constructing a multi-functional storage table that includes a plurality of modular storage compartments so that everything is accessible, thereby avoiding unnecessary accidents.
The application also relates to a method for assembling such a storage table using the assembly.
The application also relates to a storage table constructed in this way.
The living of the user is easier, and the living room or the bedroom is well-ordered. Due to its ease of adaptability, users can organize the modular tables in a manner that is most suitable for themselves. In this way, according to the present application, the storage table provides as high a comfort as possible.
More specifically, the present application relates to a modular assembly suitable for constructing a storage table, said modular assembly comprising:
-a base module consisting of a base plate and four upstanding side walls, one of said side walls having an opening therein;
-a plate-like connection module adapted to be connected to the top of the base module and provided with one or more openings for inserting storage modules;
-one or more storage modules adapted to be placed or inserted in and supported by said plate-like connection module in said one or more openings of said plate-like connection module;
-a lid for closing each module;
thus, the module assembly is characterized as follows:
the plate-like connection module has two rectangular openings;
-the storage module comprises the following modules:
a) a first storage module adapted to be inserted into one of the two rectangular openings of the plate-like connection module, the first storage module being constituted by a storage compartment with a hinged lid recessed with respect to the top of the plate-like connection module;
b) a second storage module adapted to be placed in the other of the two rectangular openings of the plate-like connection module, the second storage module being constituted by a tray, preferably rectangular in shape;
c) a third storage module also adapted to be placed or inserted in the other rectangular opening of the plate-like connection module, the third storage module being comprised of a self-balancing cup holder;
d) a fourth storage module also adapted to be inserted into the other rectangular opening of the plate-like connection module between the second storage module and the third storage module to separate the second storage module from the third storage module, the fourth storage module comprising an elongated opening adapted for insertion of an appliance;
-the cover comprises an adjustable part adapted to support a book or an electronic screen.
The application also relates to a storage table, the storage table is composed of the module components.
Assembly and elements of a modularly constructed storage table
The assembly according to the present application and the storage table assembled according to the assembly comprise the following seven modules or elements:
1) a base module;
2) a plate-like connection module or connection plate 2;
3) a first storage module 3;
4) a second storage module in the form of a tray 4;
5) a third storage module in the form of a self-balancing cup holder 5;
6) a fourth storage module or separator 6;
7) a multifunctional cover for closing the whole body.
All the above modules are fitted to each other, the modules 2 to 7 being supported by the base module 1; the whole can be closed by a lid 7.

Detailed Description
Assembling and constructing modular storage table
As mentioned above, the modular storage table according to the present application is composed of an assembly of different modules. We describe each of these constituent modules below.
Base module
The assembly according to the present application and the base or bottom element of the modular table comprise modules preferably in the form of square or rectangular containers or boxes. This is illustrated for example by fig. 1 h.
The size of the module in the form of a rectangular or square box should preferably be between 200mm and 300mm per side, and more preferably between 250mm and 275 mm.
The depth may vary between 50mm and 200mm, preferably between 75mm and 150mm, and is for example 100mm deep.
The dimensions of this basic module of the assembly according to the application are for example 265mm long, 265mm wide and 100mm high. Here, many modular elements of the storage table may be included or integrated.
Preferably, the base module and the other modules of the assembly should be made of plastic. In a preferred embodiment of the present application, the base table includes some (e.g., four) non-slip pads at the bottom of each "corner" to prevent the storage table from sliding off the sofa or bed when in use. This is illustrated, for example, by fig. 8.
At least one side of the module, and thus of the table according to the present application, comprises an opening adapted to allow the tools for the user (e.g. a remote control) to move smoothly therethrough for storage in the base module.
The size of this opening must be selected according to the size of the storage module itself.
For example, for a 265mm by 265mm high 100mm storage module, the size of such an opening may be 220mm wide by 35mm high. In another preferred embodiment of the storage module according to the present application, the edges of such an aperture are covered with special protection to prevent hand injuries of the user during use. The interior of the base module in which the opening is located should preferably be made of a non-slip material, or at least have a non-slip coating, in order to enable, for example, a remote control to remain in place even if the storage table according to the application is not perfectly horizontal or moved.
Various other modules or elements may then be placed and integrated into the base module of the table according to the present application. These other elements are interchangeable so that each user can arrange their table at his or her discretion and personalize them with an individually accessible add-on module.
Plate-like connectionModule or connection board
In order to be able to place and integrate other modules or elements of the storage table according to the present application, it is necessary to place a connecting module, for example in the form of a plate, on a large opening located on top of the base module. The connecting module has two rectangular openings, on which the other modules of the storage table according to the application are fitted. The connecting plate fits on top of the base module in four directions, so that other modules of the storage table according to the application can be placed on the connecting module in all possible ways according to the wishes of the customer. According to a preferred embodiment of the application, the connection plate still has several (e.g. four) smaller openings for one or more cables, such as charging cables or connection cables, to pass through when all elements are in place.
The dimensions of the two rectangular openings are for example between 75mm to 125mm wide by 175mm to 250mm long, for example 95mm by 215 mm.
The connection plate itself is shown in fig. 6. Fig. 1g shows a connection plate placed over the large opening of the base module.
First storage module
The first storage module mounted on the connecting module or plate is a storage module in the form of a storage compartment. Fig. 1c shows the first storage module placed on the connecting plate.
The dimensions of such storage compartments or shelves should be selected according to the dimensions of the base table and cover. For example, for the 265mm base module described above, the first storage module may be 225mm long and 104mm wide.
The compartment has a hinged lid or cover. Preferably, the cover is slightly recessed relative to the top of the locking plate; this allows a user item such as a telephone, a remote controller or a game pad to be safely placed thereon without slipping off. Fig. 1c shows the slightly recessed lid.
The storage module includes a bottom space, such as a compartment or storage compartment having a depth of, for example, 30mm, which provides a space for storing other items, such as a telephone or other relatively thin items, such as an external battery. The space may also be used for storing e.g. glasses/glasses cases when reading.
In a preferred embodiment of the application, in order to facilitate opening of the storage compartment, the lid is provided with a silicone handle, for example with dimensions 17mm x 31 mm.
According to another preferred embodiment of the storage table of the present application, a slot is provided in the cover of the compartment, for example with a length of 191mm, a width of 15mm and a depth of 14mm, wherein other appliances such as telephones can be placed vertically. Fig. 1c shows the slot. According to another preferred embodiment of the application, small openings are provided on the side of the table, which are adapted for placing one or more cables, such as telephone cables, therethrough. This is useful, for example, in the case where a user places an external battery in a storage compartment and wants to charge a phone at the same time.
Second storage module
The storage table platform according to the application is also provided with a second storage module. Again, the dimensions should be selected to match the dimensions of the base module and the cover plate.
For the above-described exemplary base module, such a second storage module is formed, for example, by a 104mm long by 104mm wide element with a tray of 90mm by 90mm and 80mm deep. The module is adapted to place snacks therein for consumption by a user in a bed or sofa, for example. Such a module is detachable from the connection plate and is therefore easy to clean after use.
Preferably, the module should be made of food safe plastic.
Fig. 3 shows an implementation example of the module alone. Fig. 1c and 1d show the placement of the module on the connection plate.
Third storage module in form of self-balancing cup holder
The next component of the storage table according to the present application is a self-balancing module, for example in the form of a cup holder.
Fig. 2 shows an implementation example of this module alone. Fig. 1c, 1d and 1e show the placement of the module on the connection plate.
Again, the dimensions should be selected to match the dimensions of the base module and the cover plate.
With respect to the above-described basic module as an example, such a third storage module is constituted by a module having a size of 104mm × 104mm, for example. The cup holder has, for example, a diameter of 75mm and a depth of 65 mm. The cup holder has innovative technical elements that can prevent glasses, bottles or cans from spilling onto a sofa or a user's bed. The counterweight, e.g., 35g, disposed at the bottom of the cup holder can ensure that the beverage remains parallel to the floor all the time under the action of gravity, thereby avoiding spillage when the user moves and when the storage table according to the present application rocks slightly. To this end, the cup holder is provided with several (e.g., three) spring-driven tabs that are positioned in a specific manner that keeps any item placed in the cup holder centered. Preferably, the bottom of the cup holder is shaped to fit the mug and the canister.
Fourth storage module or partition
The second storage module, for example in the form of a bowl or tray, and the third self-balancing storage module, for example in the form of a cup holder, are separated from one another by a further element of the storage table according to the application, in particular a partition module or "partition". Fig. 4 shows an implementation example of this module alone. FIG. 1f shows the spacer placed on the web; fig. 1d shows the spacer placed on the connecting plate and between the second and third storage modules.
Again, the size selection must be made according to the size of the second and third self-balancing storage modules.
For the above-described exemplary module, such a partition has dimensions of, for example, 15mm in width and 104mm in length. Then, the height of the separator is, for example, 83 mm.
The module is preferably manufactured according to the curved shape of the two modules it separates.
In a preferred embodiment of the storage table according to the application, the partition is provided with an opening at the top. The opening is suitable for inserting an implement such as a ball point pen (biro), a reusable straw, handkerchiefs or the like, for example.
For the above-described table, as an example, the opening is, for example, 10mm wide, 90mm long, and 80mm deep.
Multifunctional cover
The final element of the storage table according to the present application is a lid, which is adapted to completely close the storage table according to the present application. Fig. 7a and 7b show an implementation example of the cover alone. Fig. 1a and 1b show this cover placed on the connection plate and the previous module in it. Again, the size of this cover must be chosen according to the size of the base module.
For example, for the exemplary table described above, such a cover would be 265mm long and 265mm wide. The lid ensures that the storage table according to the application is suitable for use as a small table in front of a sofa or on which a user may eat or work.
Preferably, the cover is provided with a non-slip layer and has an adjustable portion, e.g. an adjustable half.
For example, with the above-described exemplary lid, the adjustable portion is 242mm wide and 160mm long and can be erected with a tool, for example in the form of a leg. Thereby, the element is adapted to hold a book or tablet computer thereon. In this way, it enables the user to make a video call or read without using his or her hands. The lid may also be placed in four different orientations to provide optimal user comfort.
Modular
As mentioned above, according to the present application, the respective modules of the above-mentioned storage table are modular.
This has the great advantage that the structure of the table according to the present application is completely customizable for the user. Instead of the first storage module (used, for example, to place his phone), he can select several second storage modules (as snack trays) or several self-balancing storage modules (as cup holders) and place them in the base module, according to his wishes and needs. It is also possible to make the various modules available as colour elements and/or to be individually designed according to the customer's requirements. For example, the color elements include an edge of an opening on one side of the base module, a silicone handle of the first storage module, and a circle of a self-balancing storage module, for example in the form of a cup holder.
Use the storage table
Fig. 9a, 9b and 9c show examples of embodiments of a storage table according to the application in practical use.
Fig. 9a shows an example of a connection cable provided in a thin electronic device such as a tablet computer. The tablet computer is placed in the slot of the first storage module. The cable passes through the small opening of the first storage module into the storage compartment underneath and is connected there, for example, to a mobile power source.
A second storage module in the form of a tray receives a user's snacks.
A third storage module in the form of a self-balancing beverage holder contains beverage cans.
A fourth storage module (i.e., a so-called partition) houses writing implements. Two additional electronic devices, such as a remote control, a smart phone, or a cordless phone, may be inserted through the opening in the base module sidewall.
Fig. 9b shows a variant of the storage table in fig. 9 a; here, the second and third storage modules are interchanged.
Finally, fig. 9c shows how the adjustable part of the cover of the table for storing according to the application supports a book for the user.
Assembling and disassembling storage table
Fig. 1a to 1h (including fig. 1h) show how a fully assembled storage table is disassembled into its component parts or modules in the sequence shown in fig. 1a to 1 h.
Conversely, the sequence or order starting from the basic module shown in fig. 1h may be followed by the creation of a storage table according to the present application by adding the various storage modules on fig. 1g, 1f, 1e, 1d and 1 c.
In a final step, the lid is placed on the web, as shown in fig. 1 b. When the adjustable part of the lid is opened, we have obtained a design of the table as shown in fig. 1 a.
Exemplary designs of a storage table according to the present application
In the following, we will show different modules with respective dimensions according to an example of an implementation of the storage table of the present application.
(1) Basic module, measured dimensions: 265mm long × 265mm wide × 100mm high;
(a) an opening of 220mm x 35 mm;
(b) a non-slip mat on the bottom of the module;
(2) a closing plate with 2 rectangular openings of 215mm x 95mm, with 4 small cut-outs;
(3) a first storage module, measuring size: 225mm in length and 104mm in width, with a storage space of 30mm in depth, and provided with a lid having a silicone handle of dimensions 17mm x 31 mm;
(a) a slot in the lid of 191mm in length and 15mm in width;
(b) two openings for guiding telephone cables therethrough;
(4) a second storage module 104mm long by 104mm wide with a tray 90mm by 90mm and 80mm deep;
(5) the third self-balancing storing module measures the size: 104mm × 104mm with a cup holder with a diameter of 75mm and a depth of 65 mm;
(a) three spring-loaded tabs to center the cup/can;
(b) a bottom adapted so that both a cup and a can fit on the cup holder;
(6) a fourth storage module, namely a partition (5). It has a width of 15mm and a length of 104 mm. The opening in the separator was 10mm wide, 90mm long and 80mm deep;
(7)265mm long and 265mm wide anti-slip lid for fully enclosing a storage table:
(a) an adjustable half having a width of 242mm and a length of 160 mm.
SUMMARY
As described above, various storage modules may be integrated into the base module using the connecting plate. The overall composition of the entire table can be adjusted according to the preferences of the user, so that the finally assembled and configured table is customizable and provides maximum comfort for the user.
The non-slip cover may close the storage table and turn it into a table or desk on the side of a sofa or bed. The adjustable halves then allow the user to comfortably read, view, and even have video chat available.
Unlike many of the storage tables currently on the market or described in the prior art, it is more interesting and safe to provide the user with a storage table made of solid material.
A storage table according to the present application complies therewith. It provides the user with a storage table with varying smart storage space, for example for a remote control or power pack. It has several built-in adjustable surfaces, makes the user can fix a position books, panel computer and smart mobile phone according to own wish. The self-balancing storage module or beverage holder and the storage compartment with non-slip mats to prevent slipping will ensure that there is little risk of spillage.
Claims (11)
1. A modular assembly adapted to construct a storage table, the modular assembly comprising:
-a base module consisting of a base plate and four upstanding side walls, one of said side walls having an opening therein;
-a plate-like connection module adapted to be connected to the top of the base module and having one or more openings for inserting storage modules;
-one or more storage modules adapted to be placed in and supported by the plate-like connection module in the one or more openings of the plate-like connection module;
-a lid for closing each module,
it is characterized in that the preparation method is characterized in that,
-the plate-like connection module comprises two rectangular openings;
-the storage module comprises the following modules:
a) a first storage module adapted to be mounted in one of the two rectangular openings of the plate-like connection module, the first storage module being constituted by a storage compartment with a hinged lid recessed with respect to the top of the plate-like connection module;
b) a second storage module adapted to be placed in the other of the two rectangular openings of the plate-like connection module, the second storage module being constituted by a tray;
c) a third storage module also adapted to be inserted into the other rectangular opening of the plate-like connection module, the third storage module being comprised of a self-balancing cup holder;
d) a fourth storage module also adapted to be inserted into the other rectangular opening of the plate-like connection module between the second and third storage modules to separate the second and third storage modules, the fourth storage module comprising an elongated opening adapted for insertion of a tool;
-the cover comprises an adjustable part adapted to support a book or an electronic screen.
2. The module assembly of claim 1, wherein the bottom side of the base module comprises a non-slip mat.
3. The module assembly of claim 1 or 2, wherein the first storage module includes an elongated opening adapted to receive a tablet-type electronic device in addition to the hinged cover.
4. The module assembly of claim 1 or 2, wherein the third storage module comprises a bottom weighted, self-balancing cup holder provided with three spring-loaded tabs for centering an item placed in the cup holder.
5. A module assembly according to claim 1 or 2, wherein one or more of the modules has a recess for arranging cables.
6. An assembly of modules according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the base of one or more of the modules and the lid are fitted with a non-slip coating.
7. A module assembly according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the opening of the base module is provided with a protective material.
8. The module assembly of claim 1, wherein the tray is rectangular in shape.
9. A module assembly according to claim 3, wherein the tablet-type electronic device is a tablet computer or a smartphone.
10. The module assembly of claim 5, wherein the cable is a charging cable or a connection cable for an electronic device.
11. Storage table, characterized in that it is composed of a modular assembly according to any one of claims 1-10.
