Referring to fig. 1 to 6, an electronic device 100 is provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure, where the electronic device 100 includes a housing 10, a flexible display 20, and a protective film 30. A flexible display 20 is mounted on the housing 10, the flexible display 20 being switchable with respect to the housing 10 between a first configuration (as shown in fig. 1, 3 and 5) in which the flexible display 20 is at least partially concealed within the housing 10, and a second configuration (as shown in fig. 2, 4 and 6) in which the portion of the flexible display 20 concealed within the housing 10 is at least partially deployed out of the housing 10. The protective film 30 is attached to the flexible display panel 20, and in the first configuration, the protective film 30 is partially hidden in the housing 10, and in the second configuration, the protective film 30 is completely exposed from the housing 10.
In the electronic device 100 of the embodiment of the present application, the flexible display 20 is switchable between the first configuration and the second configuration with respect to the housing 10. When in the first configuration, the flexible display 20 is at least partially concealed within the housing 10; in the second configuration, the portion of the flexible display 20 hidden within the housing 10 is at least partially deployed out of the housing 10. When the flexible display screen 20 is in the second configuration, the protective film 30 attached thereon is completely exposed outside the housing 10. In this way, when the user inevitably scratches the protective film 30 during the use of the electronic device 100, the user can directly control the flexible display 20 to be transformed into the second configuration without opening the housing 10, so that the protective film 30 is completely exposed, and the protective film 30 is easily removed and replaced.
The electronic device 100 in the embodiment of the present application may be a mobile terminal device such as a smart phone or a tablet computer, or may be a device that can be equipped with a display device such as a game device, a vehicle-mounted computer, a notebook computer, or a video player, and is not specifically shown here.
Referring to fig. 7, in some embodiments, the protective film 30 includes a substrate layer 35 and a glue layer 34 stacked together, and the glue layer 34 is connected to the flexible display 20.
Thus, the adhesive layer 34 is used for connecting the protection film 30 and the flexible display 20, and the base material layer 35 is used for bearing impact and vibration, and plays a role in protecting the flexible display 20.
Specifically, the adhesive layer 34 may be made of an ultraviolet ray viscosity reducing material or a thermal viscosity reducing material, so that the adhesive layer 34 may be subjected to ultraviolet rays or may be heated to reduce the viscosity, thereby facilitating the user to tear the protective film 30 from the flexible display 20. And the substrate layer 35 can be colorless transparent materials such as colorless transparent polyimide (CPI), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) for the substrate layer 35 can possess certain flexibility, guarantees that the protection film 30 can laminate on flexible display screen 20.
Further, referring to fig. 7, in some embodiments, the protection film 30 further includes a hardened layer 36, the hardened layer 36 is stacked on the substrate layer 35, and the substrate layer 35 is located between the hardened layer 36 and the adhesive layer 34.
In this way, the hardened layer 36 is disposed on the side of the substrate layer 35 away from the glue layer 34, and the hardened layer 36 has a certain hardness, so as to prevent the protective film 30 and the flexible display 20 from being scratched.
Specifically, the hardened layer 36 may be stacked on the side of the substrate layer 35 away from the glue layer 34, so that the protection film 30 may be a sandwich structure in which the hardened layer 36, the substrate layer 35 and the glue layer 34 are stacked, so that the protection film 30 may better protect the flexible display 20. When the protective film 30 is scratched, the user may soften the adhesive layer 34 by using ultraviolet rays or heat, remove the protective film 30, and attach a new protective film 30.
In the embodiment of the present application, the specific materials of the base material layer 35, the adhesive layer 34, and the hardened layer 36 are not limited, and may be satisfied.
Referring to fig. 1 and 2, in some embodiments, the housing 10 includes a first housing 11 and a second housing 12 that are slidably connected, one end of the flexible display 20 is fixedly connected to the first housing 11, and the other end is located inside the housing 10, and the second housing 12 can slide relative to the first housing 11 to enable a portion of the flexible display 20 hidden inside the housing 10 to be at least partially unfolded out of the housing 10, so as to switch the flexible display 20 between the first configuration and the second configuration.
In this manner, the electronic device 100 can switch the flexible display 20 between the first configuration and the second configuration by changing the relative positions of the first housing 11 and the second housing 12.
Further, referring to fig. 3 and 4, in some embodiments, the flexible display 20 includes a first portion 21 and a second portion 22 exposed from the housing 10, the second portion 22 is connected to the first portion 21, the first portion 21 is fixedly connected to the second housing 12, the second portion 22 can be hidden in the housing 10, and the second housing 12 can move away from the first housing 11 to at least partially unfold the second portion 22 out of the housing 10.
The protective film 30 includes a first area 31 and a second area 32, the first area 31 covering the first portion 21, and the second area 32 partially covering the second portion 22.
When the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration, the second portion 22 and the second area 32 are completely hidden within the housing 10, and the first portion 21 and the first area 31 are exposed from the housing 10.
When the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration, the second portion 22 is at least partially unfolded out of the housing 10, and the second area 32 and the first area 31 are completely exposed from the housing 10.
In this way, when the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration, the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20 still remains partially inside the housing 10, and the first area 31 and the second area 32 of the protective film 30 are completely exposed, which is convenient for the user to tear and replace.
It should be noted that in the present application, "the separation movement" refers to the movement of the two moving away from each other, for example, the separation movement of the first shell 11 and the second shell 12 can be understood as the sliding movement of the two moving away from each other, and hereinafter, if the same or similar description occurs, the same or similar description can be understood by referring to this.
Specifically, in the embodiment of the present application, the electronic device 100 also has two configurations, the first configuration is a configuration in which the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 are fitted together (as shown in fig. 1 and 3), or a configuration when the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 are close to each other and move to the limit position, in which the first portion 21 and the first region 31 of the flexible display 20 are exposed from the housing 10, and the second portion 22 and the second region 32 are completely hidden in the housing 10, that is, the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration, and the display area of the electronic device 100 is small and is convenient to carry.
The second configuration is a configuration (as shown in fig. 2 and 4) after the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 are separated from each other, or a configuration when the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 are moved away from each other to an extreme position, in which the first portion 21 and the first region 31 of the flexible display 20 and the second portion 22 and the second region 32 are exposed from the housing 10, that is, the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration, and the display area of the electronic device 100 is larger, so as to provide better display effect for the user.
In the embodiment of the present application, the "display area" refers to an area of a portion of the flexible display 20 exposed outside the housing 10 for display.
Of course, the electronic device 100 may further include a Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC), and the Flexible Printed Circuit (not shown) electrically connects the Flexible display 20 and an electrical component such as a main board of the electronic device 100 to drive and control the Flexible display 20 to display corresponding content. It is understood that the electronic device 100 may further include a battery and a motherboard (not shown), and the battery may be connected to the flexible circuit board to supply power to the flexible display 20 through the flexible circuit board. The motherboard may be electrically connected to the flexible circuit board to control display signals to the flexible display 20 through the flexible circuit board to control display content.
Further, in the illustrated embodiment, regardless of whether the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration or the second configuration, the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20 is partially hidden in the housing 10, or the second portion 22 is only partially exposed and cannot be completely exposed from the housing 10. Whereas the protective film 30 is smaller in area than the flexible display 20, the first area 31 of the protective film 30 may completely cover the first portion 21 of the flexible display 20 and the second area 32 may partially cover the second portion 22, such that the second area 32 and the first area 31 may be completely exposed from the housing 10 when the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration. In this way, when the user needs to replace the protection film 30, the first shell 11 and the second shell 12 are directly controlled to move away from each other and to the extreme positions without opening the shell 10, so that the first area 31 and the second area 32 of the protection film 30 are completely exposed out of the shell 10, and the protection film is convenient to tear and replace.
In one example, when the user uses the electronic device 100, the user carelessly scratches the first area 31, and the user controls the second shell 12 of the electronic device 100 so that the first shell 11 and the second shell 12 move away from each other to the extreme positions, the protective film 30 is entirely exposed outside the housing 10, and the user can tear off the protective film 30 and then attach a new protective film 30, so that the replacement is convenient.
In addition, in the description of the embodiments of the present application, the terms "first" and "second" are used for descriptive purposes only and are not to be construed as indicating or implying relative importance or implicitly indicating the number of technical features indicated. Thus, features defined as "first", "second", may explicitly or implicitly include one or more of the described features. In the description of the embodiments of the present application, "a plurality" means two or more unless specifically defined otherwise.
It should be noted that in the description of the present application, it is to be understood that the terms "central", "longitudinal", "lateral", "length", "width", "thickness", "upper", "lower", "vertical", "horizontal", "top", "bottom", "inner" and "outer" indicate orientations or positional relationships based on those shown in the drawings, and are only for convenience of description and simplicity of description, and do not indicate or imply that the referenced device or element must have a particular orientation, be constructed and operated in a particular orientation, and thus, should not be considered as limiting the present application. In addition, it should be noted that, in the description of the present application, it should be noted that, unless explicitly stated or limited otherwise, the terms "mounted," "connected," and "connected" are to be interpreted broadly, e.g., as either a fixed connection, a detachable connection, or an integral connection; may be a mechanical connection; either directly or indirectly through intervening media, either internally or in any other relationship. The specific meaning of the above terms in the present application can be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art as appropriate.
In the embodiment of the present application, the fact that the second portion 22 can be hidden in the housing 10 means that the second portion 22 can be housed in the internal space of the housing 10 without being exposed to the outside or the fact that the second portion 22 can be hidden on the back surface of the housing 10 without being exposed to the outside, and the description will be given taking as an example that the second portion 22 can be housed in the internal space of the housing 10 without being exposed to the outside.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, in some embodiments, the electronic device 100 may further include a driving mechanism 40, the driving mechanism 40 is connected to the second housing 12, and the driving mechanism 40 is configured to drive the second housing 12 to move away from the first housing 11, so that the second portion 22 can be at least partially unfolded out of the housing 10.
In this way, the driving mechanism 40 is connected to the second housing 12 to drive the second housing 12 to move relative to the first housing 11, and the second housing 12 drives the flexible display 20 to move, so that the flexible display 20 can be switched between the first configuration and the second configuration. When the driving mechanism 40 drives the second shell 12 to move away from the first shell 11 to the limit, the first area 31 and the second area 32 of the protective film 30 are completely exposed, which is convenient for the user to tear and replace.
Specifically, the driving mechanism 40 may be disposed in the first housing 11 to drive the second housing 12 to move relative to the first housing 11, and the second housing 12 may drive the flexible display 20 to move when moving relative to the first housing 11, so that the flexible display 20 may be switched between two configurations.
In some embodiments, the first casing 11 in the electronic device 100 may serve as a main supporting structure of the electronic device 100, and the driving mechanism 40, the speaker, the circuit board, the battery, and other components may be accommodated inside the first casing 11. Additionally, in some embodiments, the second shell 12 may be slightly smaller than the first shell 11, such that the second shell 12 may also be entirely collapsed inside the first shell 11. In some embodiments, the first housing 11 and the second housing 12 may have similar shapes, and the second housing 12 and the first housing 11 cooperate to form a complete support structure, which makes the flexible display 20 symmetrical and beautiful when unfolded.
Specifically, in the illustrated embodiment, the first housing 11 is slidably connected to the second housing 12, and the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20 can be disposed inside the housing 10, belonging to a hidden structure. Referring to fig. 1, in the first mode, the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20 is not used for displaying, only the first portion 21 is used for displaying, and the first area 31 of the protective film 30 completely covers the first portion 21 to protect the flexible display 20. When the second housing 12 moves away from the first housing 11, the flexible display 20 can be moved, so that the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20 is at least partially pulled out of the housing 10 to switch to the second configuration. In the second configuration, the second portion 22 is at least partially pulled out of the housing 10, the first portion 21 and the second portion 22 are both used for displaying, the first area 31 and the second area 32 of the protective film 30 are completely exposed, and the first portion 21 and the second portion 22 exposed from the housing 10 can be covered.
Further, in such an embodiment, the driving mechanism 40 may include a motor and a transmission assembly, wherein the transmission assembly is connected to the motor, and during the switching between the two states, the motor of the driving mechanism 40 is used for providing the driving force, and the transmission assembly is used for transmitting the driving force to the housing 10, so that the second shell 12 moves relative to the first shell 11, and the second portion 22 is at least partially extended out of the housing 10 or retracted into the housing 10.
Illustratively, in one possible embodiment, the transmission assembly may be a screw nut transmission structure, and the nut is threaded on the screw, so that when the motor drives the screw to rotate, the screw can drive the nut to move, and the nut is connected to the second shell 12 to drive the second shell 12 to move relative to the first shell 11. The first portion 21 is connected to the first housing 11, so that the second portion 22 can be at least partially extended out of the housing 10 or retracted into the housing 10 to adjust the display area of the electronic device 100.
Of course, it is understood that in other embodiments, the driving mechanism 40 may drive the second housing 12 in other manners, for example, a motor and a rack-and-pinion transmission structure may be included, and the driving mechanism 40 may drive the second housing 12 to slide relative to the first housing 11 through the motor and the rack-and-pinion transmission structure. In the embodiment of the present application, the specific types of the driving mechanism 40 and the transmission assembly are not limited to meet the requirement.
In addition, referring to fig. 3 and 4, in some embodiments, the electronic device 100 may include a reel 50, the reel 50 is rotatably disposed in the housing 10, and the second portion 22 is at least partially wound on the reel 50 when the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration;
upon a movement of the second housing 12 away from the first housing 11, the reel 50 can be rotated to release the second portion 22, thereby causing the second portion 22 to at least partially unwind out of the housing 10.
Thus, the reel 50 can receive the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20, occupies a small space, provides a large space for stacking other components, and realizes the lightness and thinness of the electronic device 100.
Specifically, the reel 50 may be disposed in the middle of the housing 10, when the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration, a middle portion of the second portion 22 is wound on the second casing 12, a distal end of the second portion 22 may be wound on the reel 50 so that the second portion 22 is at least partially wound on the reel 50, and when the second casing 12 and the first casing 11 are away from each other, the reel 50 may gradually release the second portion 22 so that the second portion 22 is gradually unwound out of the housing 10 under the action of the second casing 12. When the second shell 12 and the first shell 11 approach each other, the reel 50 can gradually wind the second portion 22 so that the second portion 22 is gradually retracted into the housing 10 by the second shell 12.
In some embodiments, the electronic device 100 may further include a flexible support 60, an end of the second portion 22 may be connected to the flexible support 60, the flexible support 60 may be stacked on the flexible display 20 and attached to a side of the flexible display 20 away from the protective film 30, and the flexible support 60 may be fixedly connected to the second portion 22 by an Optical Clear Adhesive (OCA). The flexible support 60 completely covers and extends beyond the second portion 22, and the extending portion of the flexible support 60 is connected to the roller 50, so that the flexible display screen 20 can be rolled on the roller 50 when in the first configuration, and the first portion 21 is merely hidden in the housing 10. With the flexible display 20 in the second configuration, the reel 50 gradually releases the flexible support 60 so that the second portion 22 can be released from the housing 10. In this way, the reel 50 is only wound with the flexible supporting member 60, and the flexible display screen 20 is not directly wound by the reel 50, so that the degree and times of bending of the flexible display screen 20 can be reduced, friction and collision between the protective film 30 and other elements during winding of the protective film 30 are avoided, and the service life of the flexible display screen 20 is prolonged.
Of course, in other embodiments, the reel 50 may be disposed at an end of the second housing 12 away from the first housing 11, and the flexible display 20 may correspond to the flexible support 60 completely, i.e., the area of the flexible display 20 is equal to the area of the flexible support 60. The ends of the second portion 22 and the flexible support 60 are connected to the reel 50, and the reel 50 can simultaneously reel in and simultaneously release both the flexible support 60 and the second portion 22 of the flexible display screen 20.
Referring to fig. 8 and 9, in other embodiments, the roller 50 may not be driven by a motor, but may be driven by other driving methods, for example, the driving mechanism 40 may be a torsion spring, and when the torsion spring is installed on the roller 50, the torsion spring provides a torsion force to make the roller roll the flexible display 20 when the second configuration is converted into the first configuration; when the first configuration is converted into the second configuration, the driving mechanism 40 releases the flexible display 20 against the torsion force.
Further, referring to fig. 9, in some embodiments, the second region 32 is rolled onto the spool 50 when in the first configuration.
In this way, when the reel 50 receives the second portion 22 of the flexible display 20, the flexible display 20 and the protection film 30 can be rolled on the reel 50 together with the second region 32 to avoid occupying the inner space of the housing 10.
Specifically, the second area 32 at least partially covers the second portion 22, so that when the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration, the second portion 22 is rolled on the roller 50, and the second area 32 can also be rolled on the roller 50 together with the second portion 22, so that the internal space of the electronic device 100 can be saved, and the saved space can be provided with other elements.
In other embodiments, the second area 32 may not be rolled on the roller 50, and the second portion 22 and the second area 32 are merely hidden in the housing 10 when the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, in some embodiments, the electronic device 100 further includes a driving mechanism 40, the driving mechanism 40 is connected to the reel 50 and the second housing 12, and the driving mechanism 40 is configured to drive the reel 50 to rotate to release or wind the second portion 22 while driving the second housing 12 to slide relative to the first housing 11.
In this manner, the driving mechanism 40 may simultaneously drive the reel 50 and the second case 12, so that the reel 50 and the second case 12 may be linked, and when the second case 12 is far away with respect to the first case 11, the reel 50 releases the flexible display 20 to convert to the second configuration; when the second housing 12 approaches with respect to the first housing 11, the reel 50 gathers the flexible display 20 to convert into the first configuration.
It will be appreciated that the movement of the spool 50 and the second housing 12 should be synchronized so that the drive mechanism 40 simultaneously couples the second housing 12 and the spool 50, driving the spool 50 to rotate to release or take up the second portion 22 while driving the second housing 12 to slide relative to the first housing 11. In one example, the driving mechanism 40 drives the second housing 12 to move away from the first housing 11, and simultaneously drives the reel 50 to rotate to release the second portion 22, so that the flexible display 20 can be converted into the second configuration. In another example, the driving mechanism 40 drives the second housing 12 to move toward the first housing 11, and simultaneously drives the reel 50 to rotate to wind the second portion 22, so that the flexible display 20 can be converted into the first configuration.
Referring to fig. 10 to 13, in some embodiments, the housing 10 further includes a third housing 13, the third housing 13 and the second housing 12 are both slidably connected to the first housing 11, the second housing 12 and the third housing 13 are respectively connected to two sides of the first housing 11, and the third housing 13 can move away from the first housing 11;
the flexible display 20 further comprises a third portion 23, the third portion 23 and the second portion 22 are both connected to the first portion 21, the first portion 21 is located between the second portion 22 and the third portion 23, the third portion 23 can be hidden in the housing 10, and the third housing 13 can move away from the first housing 11 to at least partially unfold the third portion 23 out of the housing 10;
the protective film 30 further comprises a third area 33, the third area 33 partially covering the third portion 23;
when the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration, the second portion 22 and the second area 32 and the third portion 23 and the third area 33 are completely hidden in the housing 10, and the first portion 21 and the first area 31 are exposed from the housing 10;
when the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration, the second portion 22 and the third portion 23 are at least partially unfolded out of the housing 10, and the first area 31, the second area 32 and the third area 33 are all completely exposed from the housing 10.
In this way, the third housing 13 can move away from the first housing 11, so that the third portion 23 is extended out of the housing 10, thereby further increasing the display area of the electronic device 100.
Specifically, in the present embodiment, the first housing 11 is slidably connected to the third housing 13, the first housing 11 is also slidably connected to the second housing 12, or the third housing 13 and the second housing 12 have substantially the same structure and are symmetrically connected to both sides of the first housing 11. The third housing 13 is slidable with respect to the first housing 11 to be away from or close to one side of the first housing 11, and the second housing 12 is also slidable with respect to the first housing 11 to be away from or close to the other side of the first housing 11.
In the present embodiment, "the third housing 13 can move away from the first housing 11" means that the third housing 13 is away from one side of the first housing 11 and slides away from the first housing 11, and at this time, the second housing 12 can also be away from the other side of the first housing 11 and slides away from the first housing 11 or is stationary relative to the first housing 11. Of course, in the embodiment of the present application, the third housing 13 and the second housing 12 can move away from each other with respect to the first housing 11 individually or simultaneously, so as to expand the display portion of the flexible display 20.
When the flexible display 20 is in the first configuration, the second shell 12 and the third shell 13 are close to the movement limit relative to the first shell 11, so that the second shell 12 and the third shell 13 can be embedded on the first shell 11, and thus, the second portion 22 and the third portion 23 can be hidden in the housing 10, and only the first portion 21 and the first area 31 are exposed from the housing 10. The third portion 23 may be at least partially deployed out of the housing 10 when the third housing 13 moves away from the first housing 11; the second portion 22 may also be at least partially deployed out of the housing 10 when the second housing 12 is moved away from the first housing 11. In this way, the first portion 21, the second portion 22 and the third portion 23 of the flexible display 20 may be exposed from the housing 10 simultaneously, such that the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration.
The protective film 30 is smaller in area than the flexible display 20, and the first region 31 of the protective film 30 may completely cover the first portion 21 of the flexible display 20, while the second region 32 may partially cover the second portion 22, and the third region 33 may partially cover the third portion 23. Thus, when the flexible display 20 is in the second configuration, the first area 31, the second area 32, and the third area 33 of the protective film 30 are all completely exposed from the housing 10, so that the user can replace the protective film 30.
It will be appreciated that in such embodiments, the drive mechanism 40 and the reel 50 are both compatible with the electronic device 100, for example, the electronic device 100 may include two reels 50 and two drive mechanisms 40. Two reels 50 may be connected to the ends of the second and third portions 22 and 23, respectively, and two driving mechanisms 40 are connected to the second and third cases 12 and 13, respectively, to drive the second and third cases 12 and 13, respectively, to slide with respect to the first case 11.
When the driving mechanism 40 drives the second casing 12 away relative to the first casing 11, the reel 50 connected to the second part 22 may release the second part 22 so that the second part 22 may be exposed from the casing 10; when the driving mechanism 40 drives the third housing 13 to move away from the first housing 11, the reel 50 connected to the third portion 23 may release the third portion 23, so that the third portion 23 may be exposed from the casing 10 to further increase the display area of the electronic device 100. The driving mechanism 40, when driving the second shell 12 close relative to the first shell 11, the reel 50 connected to the second part 22 may take up the second part 22 so that the second part 22 may be hidden in the housing 10; when the driving mechanism 40 drives the third casing 13 to approach with respect to the first casing 11, the reel 50 connected to the third portion 23 may take up the third portion 23 so that the third portion 23 may be hidden in the casing 10, making the electronic device 100 convenient to carry.
In addition, as shown in fig. 13, in other embodiments, the reels 50 may not be driven by the motor, but other driving methods may be used, for example, torsion springs are respectively installed on the two reels 50, and when the second configuration is converted into the first configuration, the torsion springs provide torsion force to make the reels wind the flexible display 20; when the first configuration is converted into the second configuration, the driving mechanism 40 releases the flexible display 20 against the torsion force.
Of course, in other embodiments, the flexible support 60 may cover the flexible display 20 beyond the second portion 22 and the third portion 23, so that the flexible support 60 can be rolled on the two rollers 50, respectively, to reduce the degree and times that the second portion 22 and the third portion 23 are bent, and to prolong the life of the flexible display 20.
