In addition, examples of various specific processes and materials are provided herein, but one of ordinary skill in the art may recognize applications of other processes and/or use of other materials.
Referring to fig. 1 and 2, an embodiment of the present application provides a fender panel 21. The fender 21 includes a body 210 and a structural plate 211 provided on the body 210. Wherein the structural panel 211 may be located at the rear edge 2101 of the body 210 and the structural panel 211 is recessed from the outer surface 2100 of the body 210 and formed with a groove 212. The structure plate 211 forms a stepped structure along the depth direction of the groove 212.
The fender panel 21 of the present embodiment may be used for the fender assembly 20, and specifically, the fender assembly 20 includes the above-described fender panel 21 and the garnish 22. Decorative piece 22 is mounted in recess 212.
Specifically, the fender panel 21 may be disposed above the wheels of the vehicle 100 as an important component of the body of the vehicle 100 to prevent sand and mud that are rolled up by the wheels from being splashed onto the bottom of the vehicle compartment, thereby achieving the purpose of protecting the vehicle 100, and the trim 22 may be provided on the fender panel 21 for the aesthetic appearance of the body.
The fender panel 21 is a structure of the vehicle 100 directly exposed to the external environment, and the material of the fender panel 21 is required to have weather resistance and good formability, and at the same time, as an important region affecting the appearance effect, the clearance surface difference fit between the fender panel 21 and the peripheral parts is required to be high, and therefore the fender panel 21 is required to have good rigidity to maintain the shape of the parts for a long time. The material of which the fender panel 21 is made may be selected from a steel plate, an aluminum alloy, and the like.
In addition, considering that the fender panel 21 is a main area of the front portion of the vehicle body, in order to ensure maximum pedestrian protection in the event of a collision, the material of the fender panel 21 may be made of a composite plastic having a certain elasticity to ensure a certain cushioning property.
The fender 21 includes a body 210 and a structural panel 211. The structural plate 211 is disposed on the body 210 at the rear edge 2101 of the body 210, the structural plate 211 being recessed from the outer surface 2100 of the body 210 to form a groove 212. The depth of the recess 212 matches the width of the garnish 22 mounted on the fender 21.
It will be appreciated that in order to make the fender 21 more aesthetically pleasing, the garnish 22 mounted on the fender 21 needs to be flush with the fender 21 or protrude from the fender 21 by a smaller size. Therefore, the groove 212 needs to be formed with a sufficient depth on the fender 21, and in order to facilitate the manufacturing formation of the groove 212, the structural plate 211 may be formed with a step structure by punching along the depth direction of the groove 212 so that the depth of the groove 212 may gradually transition.
In this way, the step structure is formed along the depth direction of the groove 212 by the structural plate 211 in the fender 21, so that the depth of the groove 212 gradually transitions, which is beneficial to the manufacture and formation of the groove 212.
In particular, the stepped structure may be a multi-step structure, and the number of steps of the stepped structure is not limited in the embodiment of the present application as long as it can be satisfied that the garnish 22 may be flush with the structural plate 211 when mounted on the fender 21, and the stepped structure in this example is a two-step structure.
In the present embodiment, the front-rear direction of the fender panel 21 coincides with the front-rear direction of the vehicle 100, and for example, the front of the vehicle 100 faces forward and the rear of the vehicle 100 faces rearward.
Referring to fig. 3 and 4, in some embodiments, the structural plate 211 includes a first connecting plate 213, a second connecting plate 214, and a third connecting plate 215 connected in sequence. The first connecting plate 213, the second connecting plate 214 and the third connecting plate 215 enclose a groove 212, the first connecting plate 213 is connected with the body 210, and the third connecting plate 215 is positioned lower than the first connecting plate 213 to form a stepped structure.
Specifically, in order to realize a two-step structure on the structural plate 211, the structural plate 211 may be composed of a first connecting plate 213, a second connecting plate 214, and a third connecting plate 215 connected in sequence. Where the first stepped structure 2160 is formed from the outer surface 2100 of the body 210 to the first connecting plate 213 and the second stepped structure 2170 is formed from the first connecting plate 213 to the third connecting plate 215, it will be appreciated that the third connecting plate 215 is positioned lower than the first connecting plate 213.
Thus, the groove 212 formed by being recessed from the outer surface 2100 and surrounded by the first, second, and third connection plates 213, 214, and 215 may gradually change the depth of the groove 212 itself along the two-step structure.
Referring to fig. 4, in some embodiments, the first connecting plate 213 includes a first mounting surface 2130 and the third connecting plate 215 includes a second mounting surface 2150. The distance between the first mounting surface 2130 and the second mounting surface 2150 is smaller than the distance between the first mounting surface 2130 and the outer surface 2100 of the body 210, i.e., a < B.
Specifically, in order to mount trim piece 22 on structural panel 211, structural panel 211 needs to provide a step of sufficient depth. Since the required step depth is difficult to form at once due to the edge structure of fender 21, the width required to accommodate trim piece 22 is provided by a two-step structure in this example.
In this example, the minimum depth of space required to install trim piece 22 is 9.5 mm. Wherein the first connecting plate 213 comprises a first mounting surface 2130, the depth of the first step structure 2160, i.e., the distance from the outer surface 2100 to the first mounting surface 2130, is 5 mm; the third connector plate 215 includes the second mounting surface 2150 thereon, and the depth of the second step structure 2170, i.e., the distance from the first mounting surface 2130 to the second mounting surface 2150, is 4.5 mm.
Thus, by adding the depths of first step structure 2160 and second step structure 2170, a minimum depth of 9.5mm may be provided for installation of trim piece 22.
Referring to fig. 5, in some embodiments, a plurality of fastening holes 216 are formed on the third connecting plate 215, and the fastening holes 216 are arranged along the front-back direction of the body 210.
Referring to fig. 3, in the fender assembly 20 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the garnish 22 is snap-fitted to the fender 21.
Specifically, the shape of the fastening hole 216 formed on the third connecting plate 215 may be a regular shape such as a square shape and a circle shape, and the fastening hole 216 is used for cooperating with the fastening hook 221 on the decoration 22 to form a fastening structure. Thus, the fastening structure formed by the fastening hole 216 and the fastening hook 221 allows the decoration 22 to be fastened and fixed on the structural plate 211, and also allows the decoration 22 to be conveniently detached through the fastening structure when the decoration 22 is damaged and needs to be detached for repair.
It can be appreciated that the plurality of snap structures formed by the plurality of snap holes 216 and the snap hooks 221 also enable the snap structures to work to increase the fault tolerance. For example, when one of the snap structures is damaged to release the snap 221, the rest of the snap structures help the decoration 22 to be fixed on the structure plate 211, so that the decoration 22 cannot be immediately dropped to cause damage or hit a pedestrian to cause injury.
And the fastening holes 216 are arranged along the front-rear direction of the body 210, so that the fastening holes 216 can be uniformly distributed on the third connecting plate 215, and the stress of the structural plate 211 is more uniform when the decoration 22 is fixed on the structural plate 211.
In this way, the garnish 22 can be securely attached to the structural panel 211 in cooperation with the engagement hole 216.
Referring to FIG. 2, in some embodiments, the notch 212 communicates with the rear edge 2101 of the body 210.
Specifically, the groove 212 is formed by recessing the structural plate 211 from the outer surface 2100 of the body 210, and a stamping technique may be used to manufacture the structural plate 211 having a multi-step structure, wherein the groove 212 is defined by the first connecting plate 213, the second connecting plate 214, and the third connecting plate 215, and the depth of the groove 212 may gradually transition.
In particular, in the related art, if the recess 212 is formed in the middle of the fender panel 21, the number of processes for forming the structural panel 211 having a multi-step structure by punching is large, and the cost is high. In this example, the groove 212 is communicated with the rear edge 2101 of the body 210, so that the problem of difficult punch forming is avoided, and the manufacturing cost is saved.
Referring to fig. 3, 5 and 6, in the present embodiment, the portion of decorative piece 22 at rear edge 2101 of body 210 is flush with outer surface 2100 of rear edge 2101.
Specifically, the space inside the fender panel 21 is generally provided with a horn, a windshield cleaner, and the like, and a garnish 22 may be attached to the fender panel 21 in order to protect the fender panel 21 and its associated components. The garnish 22 not only can beautify the appearance of the vehicle body to give the vehicle 100 a certain design feeling and provide protection for the fender 21, but also can assist the vehicle to perform a characteristic function of taking a panoramic image by adding a functional component, such as a camera 23, to the garnish 22.
The decoration 22 may be made of plastic or resin, and the manufacturing process is simple and cost-effective, but it may also be made of metal material such as alloy, so that the decoration 22 has a certain strength.
The surface of the garnish 22 as a part of the appearance of the vehicle body may be treated in conformity with the appearance of the vehicle body to improve the aesthetic appearance of the vehicle 100.
The decoration 22 is provided with a plurality of bent hooks 221 for matching with the clamping holes 216 on the structural plate 211 to clamp the edge of the fender 21. In this way, a snap structure is formed by the hook 221 and the snap hole 216, so that the decoration 22 can be fixedly installed in the groove 212 matching with the width of the decoration 22.
In particular, since the structural plate 211 is formed with the multi-step structure, the depth of the groove 212 can be gradually transitioned, so that the portion of the garnish 22 accommodated in the groove 212 at the rear edge 2101 of the body 210 is flush with the outer surface 2100 of the rear edge 2101, that is, the rear portion of the garnish 22 does not protrude significantly with respect to the rear edge 2101 of the body 210. Therefore, the appearance of the automobile body is more attractive.
Referring to fig. 2 and 3, in some embodiments, fender assembly 20 includes a camera 23, and camera 23 is mounted through trim piece 22.
Specifically, in order to implement some features of the vehicle 100, such as panoramic imagery, automatic driving assistance, etc., a camera 23 may be additionally disposed on the fender assembly 20 of the vehicle 100 to assist in imaging.
In this example, the third connecting plate 215 is formed with a through hole 217. The shape of the through hole 217 may be a regular shape such as a circle, a square, etc., and the through hole 217 may be used to provide an installation space for a functional component to be installed on the structural plate 211, for example, the through hole 217 may be installed with the camera 23. In particular, the through hole 217 is spaced apart from the card hole 216, so that a sufficient accommodation space can be provided in the recess 212 to allow the functional component to be accommodated on the structural plate 211.
In addition, a through hole 222 is formed in the decoration 22, and the position of the through hole 222 corresponds to the position of the through hole 217 in the third connection plate 215. The size of the through hole 222 matches the camera 23. Thus, the camera 23 can be inserted through the through hole 222 on the decoration 22, and then the decoration 22 is mounted in the groove 212 on the structural plate 211 through the snap structure.
This allows a portion of camera 23 to be concealed in recess 212 and through-hole 222 allows the lens of camera 23 to be exposed for camera 23 to capture an image. In this manner, camera 23 and trim piece 22 are received in recess 212 as a unit, resulting in a compact fender assembly 20 that occupies a smaller volume.
Referring to fig. 7, a vehicle 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a frame 10 and a fender assembly 20 according to any of the embodiments described above, wherein the fender assembly 20 is mounted to the frame 10.
As such, by mounting the fender assembly 20 to the frame 10, the frame 10 and the fender assembly 20 are integrally formed, thereby making the vehicle 100 more compact and more aesthetically pleasing.
In particular, the vehicle 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention is not limited to a type, and may be a pure electric vehicle or another power vehicle, and the vehicle 100 may have the fender panel assembly 20 according to any of the embodiments described above.
