Abstract

A cosmetic package for a cosmetic, care or pharmaceutical product, which product may be applied to a keratinous substrate, such as the skin, lips, under the eyes, eyelids, cheeks, or eyebrows or any other part of the body, comprising: a bottom having a plurality of reservoirs; a plurality of applicators detachably coupled to the respective plurality of reservoirs, and a pivot frame rotatably attached to the base, the pivot frame configured to have a closed position in which the plurality of applicators can be disengaged from the respective plurality of reservoirs and at least one open position in which the pivot frame can prevent the plurality of applicators from being disengaged from the respective plurality of reservoirs.

Cosmetic packaging

Technical Field

The present invention relates to the field of cosmetic packaging technology, and more particularly to a cosmetic packaging having a pivot frame.

Background

Cosmetic packages known in the art allow for the containment and dispensing of cosmetic products. Most cosmetic packages are provided with a container having a reservoir for holding the product, an applicator that can be inserted and stored in the reservoir, and an outlet for dispensing the cosmetic product. In many cases, the applicator includes a cap that can be secured to the outlet using a multi-start thread (such as a screw thread or the like) or a single start thread (such as a ridge wound around a cylinder or the like).

In EP 1347697B 1 a cosmetic package is described in which the securing mechanism between the reservoir and the applicator is based on a latch-bead connection. In order to seal the storage container against leakage, the closure cap of the applicator member in this embodiment of the cosmetic unit is very tightly locked onto the storage container.

In addition, EP 0610639B 1 discloses a cosmetic unit with a further fixing mechanism, a large rotating gripper being rotatably mounted on the applicator, the rotating gripper being rotatable around the entire storage container and locked on the underside of the storage container in order to fix the applicator in the closed position.

In the cosmetics industry, it is important to provide a cosmetic package for a cosmetic product that not only protects the dispensing container, but also secures the applicator to the reservoir when stored and when not in use.

SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL

An object of the utility model is to solve above-mentioned prior art's demand, provide a cosmetic packaging thing.

In order to achieve the above purpose, the utility model adopts the following technical scheme:

a cosmetic package comprising a base having at least one reservoir for containing at least one cosmetic or care product; at least one applicator removably associated with said base to seal the at least one reservoir when not in use; and a pivot frame rotatably attached to the base. The at least one applicator includes a cap configured to lock onto the neck portion of the at least one reservoir. The pivot frame is configured to have a closed position and at least one open position. In the open position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame is at a non-zero angle relative to the vertical axis of the base and in this position the at least one applicator can be disengaged from the base by pushing in a button present in the lid. In the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame is at a non-zero angle relative to a vertical axis of the base. In the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame covers the lid of the at least one applicator from at least one top side of the lid without contacting the lid, such that there is a slight gap between the lid and the pivot frame that prevents axial movement of the at least one applicator in an upward direction and ensures that the at least one applicator cannot be ejected from the at least one reservoir in the event of accidental actuation.

According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic package comprising a base having a plurality of reservoirs, and wherein each of the plurality of reservoirs contains a cosmetic or care product therein. The plurality of reservoirs is configured to house a plurality of applicators such that each of the plurality of reservoirs houses a respective one of the plurality of applicators.

According to an aspect of the invention, the at least two cosmetic products contained in respective ones of the plurality of reservoirs may be different from each other, and the at least two applicators of the plurality of applicators contained in respective ones of the plurality of reservoirs may be different from each other. Cosmetic products may include, but are not limited to, lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, concealer, cream, nail polish, and the like. Thus, the cosmetic package may selectively house various cosmetic products having different compositions or colors, or various applicators having different materials or forms.

According to an aspect of the invention, each of the plurality of applicators has a stem, an applicator tip attached to a distal end of the stem, and a cap at a proximal end of the stem. The covers of the plurality of applicators seal the respective reservoirs of the plurality of reservoirs and the respective applicator ends from the external environment when each of the plurality of applicators is positioned in the respective reservoir of the plurality of reservoirs.

According to another aspect of the present invention, each of the plurality of reservoirs of the bottom portion has an opening at the proximal end of the bottom portion.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the plurality of reservoirs of the bottom are identical to each other and regularly spaced from each other while extending parallel to each other. However, in alternative embodiments, the plurality of reservoirs may be different from one another in shape or size, and may be irregularly spaced from one another.

According to other aspects of the invention, the collar fits over the proximal end of the base. The collar has a plurality of neck portions, and wherein each of the plurality of neck portions has an aperture corresponding to one of the openings of the bottom portion such that the plurality of neck portions fit over the openings of the plurality of reservoirs. The orifices of the collar communicate with corresponding openings of the plurality of reservoirs of the bottom.

In a preferred embodiment, the collar is sonically welded to the base so as to be substantially integral with the base. However, in alternative embodiments, the base and collar may be formed separately and attached to each other via adhesive, snap fit, or any other suitable coupling means known in the art. The base may be constructed of metal, plastic, ceramic, glass, or any combination thereof or suitable material known in the art. The base in the preferred embodiment is made of a material that imparts transparency so that the user can see the cosmetic product stored in the reservoir.

As described above, in the manufacture of cosmetic packages, the connection between the base and the collar may be integrally formed by applying a treatment method, such as double injection, ultrasonic bonding, printing or any other suitable method known in the art, etc. The base and collar may be of different materials, colors and transparencies. In a preferred embodiment, the collar may be formed from an opaque material when the base is made from a material having transparency, and vice versa. However, in alternative embodiments, the base and collar may be made of a material that imparts opacity.

Further, the plurality of applicators are secured to the base via the collar. The orifice of the collar is shaped to receive a corresponding plurality of applicators that may be used to apply the cosmetic product from the reservoir onto an external surface, such as skin or hair or the like. According to certain exemplary aspects of the present disclosure, a wiper may be inserted into at least one of the apertures of the collar such that the wiper may remove excess cosmetic product on the applicator tip of the associated applicator.

According to yet another aspect of the present invention, the pivot frame includes a back wall, a top wall, a left side wall and a right side wall. The pivot frame is rotatably attached to the base by a pair of recesses and a pair of projections such that the pair of recesses in the pivot frame can mate with the pair of projections on opposite sides of the base. More particularly, the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls of the pivot frame include a pair of recesses that mate with a corresponding pair of protrusions on the outer surfaces of the left and right sides of the base. Alternatively, the pair of recesses may be located on the bottom, and the pair of projections may be located on the pivot frame. Other methods and devices known to those of ordinary skill in the art for rotatably attaching the pivot frame to the base (e.g., hinges, such as mechanical hinges or living hinges, etc.) are possible and may be used; the examples of the invention herein are not limiting.

According to aspects of the present invention, the pivot frame may be rotated about 90 degrees or more relative to the base. For example, when the pivot frame is in the open position, the pivot frame is rotated greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees relative to the vertical axis of the base. The pivot frame may be parallel or in line with the vertical axis X of the base when the pivot frame is in the closed position. In certain exemplary aspects, the pivot frame covers the proximal end of the base when the pivot frame is in the closed position, thereby containing the plurality of covers of the plurality of applicators within the cavity of the pivot frame.

In the closed position, the pivot frame provides protection for the top side of the base. In certain exemplary aspects, the pivot frame protects substantially the entire upper left edge, upper right edge, and top side of the base. More particularly, in the closed position, the pivot frame encloses the plurality of lids of the plurality of applicators from four sides of the cosmetic package, i.e., from the top, back, left and right sides of the cosmetic package, through the top, back, left and right side walls of the pivot frame, respectively. In the closed position, the lids of the plurality of applicators are visible from the front side of the cosmetic package. In this position, the top wall of the pivot frame extends over the covers of the plurality of applicators without abutting the covers, i.e., there is a gap between the top wall of the pivot frame and the covers of the plurality of applicators that is small enough that the pivot frame prevents the plurality of applicators from being removed from the cosmetic package by restricting axial movement of the plurality of applicators upon accidental actuation of the closed position of the cosmetic package.

Further, the cosmetic package includes means for allowing the pivot frame to rest at two different angular positions relative to the base. The device includes a pair of protrusions on the upper left and right edges of the bottom and a pair of protrusions on the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls of the pivot frame. The pair of protrusions on each of the upper left and upper right edges of the base are radially spaced apart. The first rest position of the pivot frame with respect to the bottom corresponds to a closed position of the pivot frame in which the pivot frame is at substantially zero angle to the vertical axis X of the bottom. When the pivot frame is rotated to open the cosmetic package, the pair of projections of the pivot frame pass over one of the respective pair of projections of the base so that the pivot frame can pivot about the vertical axis of the base until it passes over the other of the respective pair of projections of the base to lock in a second rest position in which the pivot frame is at a non-zero angle relative to the vertical axis of the base. The non-zero angle may be selected from the range of 120 degrees to 160 degrees. In a preferred embodiment, the second rest position of the pivot frame is at an angle of substantially 145 degrees relative to the vertical axis of the base. In alternative embodiments, one or more devices may be provided such that the pivot frame may be stationary in more than two positions relative to the base.

When the pivot frame is in the open position, one or more of the plurality of applicators may be removed from the corresponding reservoirs to apply the cosmetic product from the reservoirs.

According to an aspect of the present invention, after the pivot frame is moved to the open position, the user can quickly remove or cover the covers with one hand without rotating the covers. More particularly, the base, collar and/or plurality of applicators are unthreaded.

According to an aspect of the invention, each of the plurality of caps comprises a cap body adapted to detachably fit around the respective neck portion of the collar. The cover includes a top wall and at least one side wall extending downwardly from the top wall. The cap receives the proximal end of the stem of the applicator inside the cap. The proximal end of the stem includes a spring support seat carrying at its bottom end a plug having a substantially frusto-inverted conical outer surface and adapted to conformably seat on the upper edge of the respective neck portion of the collar. The spring is mounted in the spring support seat such that the spring extends between the top wall of the cover and the spring support seat in a compressed state to bias the plug downwardly. The spring support seat is in sliding contact with the inner wall of the cover body. A stop is provided at the distal end of the cap, the stop being coupled to the inner surface of the cap at the distal end of the cap and coupled to the stem to prevent the plug from falling out of the cap.

In addition, the cover includes a resilient member mounted to an inner surface of the cover near the distal end. When the cap is pushed onto the neck portion of the collar, the resilient member is annular and can pass over the cylindrical edge portion of the respective neck portion, and after passing the cylindrical edge portion, the resilient member engages a tapered portion of the neck portion, which is stepped in from the cylindrical edge portion, thereby preventing the cap from being pulled out of the respective neck portion of the collar. The cap further comprises a button as a disengagement means, the button being attached to a resilient member provided near the distal end of the cap body. By pushing in the button, the resilient member is disengaged from the neck portion of the collar. However, in alternative embodiments, the button and the resilient member may or may not be integrally attached.

In the rest state, the resilient member has a substantially elliptical or fusiform cross-section (not shown), with a major axis being significantly larger than the diameter of the cylindrical edge portion of the neck portion of the collar and a minor axis being smaller than the diameter of the cylindrical edge portion of the neck portion of the collar. When elastically deformed to a substantially circular shape, the inner diameter of the elastic member will be larger than the diameter of the cylindrical edge portion of the neck portion of the collar.

According to an aspect of the present invention, the elastic member and the button may be made of elastic metal or hard and elastic synthetic resin. The button is slidably received in a radial through hole formed in at least one sidewall of the cover.

In an unstressed state, the resilient member engages with the tapered portion of the neck portion of the collar, thereby preventing the cap from falling off the base. When the push button is pushed in by pressing, the elastic member is compressed from both ends of the long axis thereof and becomes deformed into a substantially circular shape having a diameter larger than that of a cylindrical edge portion of the neck portion of the collar (not shown). In this state, the elastic member is disengaged from the tapered portion of the neck portion of the collar. Thus, the lid is spontaneously pushed upwards by the force of the spring, so that the ejection of the respective applicator in the vertical direction provides a visual indication to the user that the respective applicator has now been unlocked from the bottom. Thus, the cap can be removed from the neck portion of the base by merely pushing the button in with one finger. When the finger is released from the button, the resilient member will return to its original oval shape by its own resilience.

Thus, the cosmetic package includes a two-step lock to secure the plurality of applicators to the base. In a first step, the caps of the respective plurality of applicators are engaged with the respective tapered portions of the respective neck portions by the respective resilient members. In a second step, the pivot frame is placed in its first rest position in which it covers the plurality of covers at least from the top side without abutting the plurality of covers, so that there is a slight gap between the plurality of covers and the pivot frame that prevents each of the plurality of applicators from ejecting from the respective plurality of reservoirs in the base.

In the open position, the pivot frame may act as a stand to support the base in a tilted upright position.

According to an aspect of the invention, a cosmetic package includes a bottom portion with six reservoirs and six corresponding applicators. In other alternative embodiments, the number of reservoirs and applicators may be greater or less than six.

In certain exemplary aspects, the cosmetic package may have one type or color of cosmetic in one reservoir and a different type or color of cosmetic in another reservoir.

According to various exemplary aspects, the pivot frame and collar may be constructed of metal, ceramic, glass, and/or plastic materials including, but not limited to, acrylic, polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, styrene-acrylonitrile, Polymers of Cyclohexanedimethanol Terephthalate (PCTA), polyoxymethylene, nylon, rubber, synthetic rubber, silicone, neoprene, santoprene, thermoplastic rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, and combinations thereof. The material may be opaque or transparent.

Detailed Description

The invention will be further described with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific embodiments:

fig. 1 to 7 show a cosmetic package according to an embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in fig. 7, the cosmetic package 1 includes a base 2 having a plurality of reservoirs 2a, and wherein each of the plurality of reservoirs 2a contains a cosmetic or care product therein. The plurality of reservoirs 2a are configured to house a plurality of applicators 10 such that each of the plurality of reservoirs 2a houses a respective applicator of the plurality of applicators 10. The at least two cosmetic products contained in the respective plurality of reservoirs 2a may be different from each other, and the at least two applicators 10 of the plurality of applicators 10 contained in the respective plurality of reservoirs 2a may be different from each other. Cosmetic products may include, but are not limited to, lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, concealer, cream, nail polish, and the like. Thus, the cosmetic package 1 may selectively contain various cosmetic products having different compositions or colors, or various applicators having different materials or forms.

As shown in fig. 6-8, each of the plurality of applicators 10 has a stem 11, an applicator tip 12 attached to the distal end of the stem 11, and a cap 13 at the proximal end of the stem 11. When each of the plurality of applicators 10 is positioned in the corresponding reservoir 2a, each of the plurality of caps 13 seals the corresponding reservoir 2a and the corresponding applicator tip 12 from the external environment.

Each of the plurality of reservoirs 2a of the bottom 2 has an opening 4 at the proximal end of the bottom 2, see fig. 7. In the embodiment shown, the plurality of reservoirs 2a of the bottom 2 and the opening 4 of each of the plurality of reservoirs 2a are identical to each other and regularly spaced from each other while extending parallel to each other. However, in alternative embodiments, the plurality of reservoirs 2a may be different from each other in shape or size and may be irregularly spaced from each other.

In this embodiment, as shown in fig. 6 to 7, a collar 5 is fitted on the proximal end of the base 2. The collar 5 has a plurality of neck portions 6, each neck portion having an orifice 6a, and wherein each of the plurality of neck portions 6 corresponds to one of the openings 4 of the bottom 2, such that the plurality of neck portions 6 fit over the openings 4 of the plurality of reservoirs 2 a. The orifice 6a of the collar 5 communicates with the corresponding opening 4 of the bottom 2.

Further, a plurality of applicators 10 are secured to the base 2 via the collar 5. The orifices 6a of the collar 5 are shaped to receive respective applicators 10 which can be used to apply the cosmetic product from the reservoir 2a onto an external surface, such as skin or hair or the like. According to certain exemplary aspects of the present disclosure, the wiper 20 may be inserted into at least one of the apertures 6a of the collar 5 such that the wiper 20 may remove excess cosmetic product from the applicator tip 12 of the associated applicator 10.

In a preferred embodiment, the collar 5 is sonically welded to the base 2 so as to be substantially integral with the base 2. However, in alternative embodiments, the base 2 and collar 5 may be formed separately and attached to each other via adhesive, snap fit, or any other suitable coupling means known in the art. The base 2 may be constructed of metal, plastic, ceramic, glass, or any combination thereof or suitable material known in the art. The bottom 2 in the preferred embodiment is made of a material that imparts transparency so that the user can see the cosmetic product stored in the reservoir 2 a.

As described above, in the manufacture of cosmetic package 1, the connection between base 2 and collar 5 may be integrally formed by applying a treatment method such as double injection, ultrasonic bonding, printing or any other suitable method known in the art, etc. The base 2 and collar 5 may be of different materials, colours and transparencies. In a preferred embodiment, the collar 5 may be formed from an opaque material when the base 2 is made from a material having transparency, and vice versa. However, in alternative embodiments, the base 2 and collar 5 may be made of a material that imparts opacity.

The cosmetic package 1 further comprises a pivot frame 30 shown in fig. 1-7 and 10. The pivot frame 30 is rotatably attached to the base 2. According to an exemplary aspect of the present invention, the pivot frame 30 may be rotated by about 90 degrees or more, as shown in fig. 6. For example, when the pivot frame 30 is in the open position, the pivot frame 30 is rotated more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees relative to the vertical axis X of the base 2, as shown in fig. 6. The pivot frame 30 may be parallel or in line with the vertical axis X of the base 2 when the pivot frame 30 is in the closed position, as shown in fig. 1 and 3. In certain exemplary aspects, the pivot frame 30 covers the proximal end of the base 2 when the pivot frame 30 is in the closed position, thereby containing the plurality of covers 13 of the plurality of applicators 10 within the cavity 33 of the pivot frame 30 (shown in fig. 10).

Referring to fig. 10, the pivot frame 30 includes a rear wall 35, a top wall 34, a left side wall 36, and a right side wall 37. The pivot frame 30 is rotatably attached to the base 2 by a pair of recesses 31 and a pair of protrusions 7, such that the pair of recesses 31 in the pivot frame 30 can mate with the pair of protrusions 7 on opposite sides of the base 2, see fig. 9 and 10. More particularly, the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls 36, 37 include a pair of recesses 31 which cooperate with a corresponding pair of projections 7 on the left and right sides of the bottom 2. More particularly, the pair of projections 7 is present on the upper left edge 3a and the upper right edge 3b of the bottom 2. Alternatively, the recess 31 may be located on the base 2 and the protrusion 7 on the pivot frame 30 (not shown). Other methods and devices known to those of ordinary skill in the art for rotatably attaching the pivot frame 5 to the base 2 (e.g., hinges, such as mechanical hinges or living hinges, etc.) are possible and may be used; the examples of the invention herein are not limiting.

Referring to fig. 1-5, in the closed position, the pivot frame 30 provides protection for the top side of the base 2. In certain exemplary aspects, the pivot frame 30 substantially protects the entire upper left edge 3a, upper right edge 3b, and top side of the base 2 (see fig. 6). More specifically, in the closed position, the pivot frame 30 encloses the plurality of lids 13 of the plurality of applicators 10 from four sides of the cosmetic package 1 simultaneously, i.e., from the top, back, left and right sides of the cosmetic package 1, through the respective top, back, left and right side walls 34, 35, 36, 37 of the pivot frame 30. In the closed position, the lids 13 of the applicators 10 are visible from the front side of the cosmetic package 1. The top wall 34 of the pivot frame 30 extends over the plurality of lids 13 of the plurality of applicators 10 without abutting the lids, i.e. there is a gap between the top wall 35 of the pivot frame 30 and the plurality of lids 13 of the plurality of applicators 10 which is small enough that the pivot frame 30 can prevent the plurality of applicators 10 from being removed from the cosmetic package 1 by restricting axial movement of the plurality of applicators 10 upon accidental actuation of the closed position of the cosmetic package 1.

As further shown in fig. 9 and 10, the cosmetic package 1 includes means for allowing the pivot frame 30 to rest in two different angular positions relative to the base 2. The means comprises a pair of protrusions 7a on the upper left and right edges 3a, 3b of the base 2 and a pair of protrusions 32 on the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls 36, 37 of the pivot frame 30. The pair of projections 7a on each of the upper left edge 3a and the upper right edge 3b of the bottom portion 2 are radially spaced apart. The first rest position of the pivot frame 30 with respect to the bottom 2 corresponds to a closed position of the pivot frame 30 in which the pivot frame 30 is at substantially zero angle to the vertical axis X of the bottom 2, see fig. 1. When rotating the pivot frame 30 to open the cosmetic package 1, the pair of projections 32 of the pivot frame 30 pass over one of the respective pair of projections 7a of the base 2, so that the pivot frame 30 pivots about the vertical axis X until it passes over the other of the respective pair of projections 7a of the base 2 to be locked in a second rest position in which the pivot frame 30 is at a non-zero angle with respect to the vertical axis X of the base 2, see fig. 6. In the embodiment shown in fig. 6, the pivot frame 30 is substantially angled at 145 degrees with respect to the vertical axis X of the base 2. However, in alternative embodiments, one or more devices may be provided such that the pivot frame 30 may rest in more than two positions.

When the pivot frame 30 is in the open position as shown in fig. 6, one or more applicators 10 may be removed from the corresponding reservoir 2a to apply the cosmetic product from the reservoir 2 a.

In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, after the pivot frame 30 is moved to the open position, the user can quickly remove or cover the cover 13 with one hand without rotating the cover 13. More particularly, the base 2, collar 5 and applicator 10 are unthreaded.

In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, as shown in fig. 7-8, each of the plurality of caps 13 includes a cap body 15 adapted to be removably fitted around the respective neck portion 6 of the collar 5. The cover 15 includes a top wall 15a and at least one side wall 15b extending downward from the top wall 15 a. The cap 15 receives the proximal end of the stem 11 inside the cap 15. The proximal end of the stem 11 comprises a spring support seat 16 carrying at its bottom end a plug 17 having a substantially frusto-inverted conical outer surface and adapted to conformably seat on the upper edge of the respective neck portion 6 of the collar 5. The spring 18 is mounted in the spring support seat 16 such that the spring extends in a compressed state between the top wall 15a of the cover 15 and the spring support seat 16 to bias the plug 17 downwardly. The spring support base 16 is in sliding contact with the inner wall of the lid body 15. A stopper 14 is provided at the distal end of the cap body 15, which is coupled to the inner surface of the cap body 15 at the distal end of the cap body 15 and is coupled with the lever 11 to prevent the plug 17 from falling off the cap body 15.

As shown in fig. 6, 7 and 8, the cap 13 further includes an elastic member 19 mounted to an inner surface near the distal end of the cap body 15. When pushing the cap 15 onto the neck portion 6 of the collar 5, the resilient member 19 is annular and can pass over the cylindrical edge portion 6b of the respective neck portion 6 and, after passing over the cylindrical edge portion 6b, engages a tapered portion 6c of the neck portion 6, which is stepped in from the cylindrical edge portion 6b, thereby preventing the cap 15 from being pulled out of the respective neck portion 6 of the collar 5. The cover 13 further comprises a button 25 as a disengagement means, which is attached to a resilient member 19 arranged near the distal end of the cover body 15. By pushing in the button 25, the resilient member 19 is disengaged from the neck portion 6 of the collar 5. However, in alternative embodiments, the button 25 and the resilient member 19 may or may not be integrally attached.

In the rest state, the elastic member 19 has a substantially elliptical or fusiform cross-section (not shown), with a major axis significantly larger than the diameter of the cylindrical rim portion 6b of the neck portion 6 of the collar 5 and a minor axis smaller than the diameter of the cylindrical rim portion 6 b. When elastically deformed to a substantially circular shape, the inner diameter of the elastic member 19 will be larger than the diameter of the cylindrical edge portion 6b of the neck portion 6 of the collar 5.

The elastic member 19 and the button 25 may be made of elastic metal or hard and elastic synthetic resin. The push button 25 is slidably received in a radial through hole 23 formed in at least one side wall 15b of the cover 13.

In the unstressed state shown in figure 7, the elastic member 19 engages the tapered portion of the neck portion, preventing the cap 13 from falling off the base 2. When the push button 25 is pushed in by pressing, the elastic member is compressed from both ends of the long axis thereof and becomes deformed into a substantially circular shape having a diameter larger than that of the cylindrical edge portion 6b of the neck portion 6 (not shown). In this state, the elastic member 19 is disengaged from the tapered portion 6c of the neck portion 6. Thus, the ejection of the applicator 10 in the vertical direction provides a visual indication to the user that the applicator 10 has now been unlocked from the base 2 by the force of the spring 18 spontaneously pushing the lid 13 upwards. Thus, the cap 13 can be removed from the neck portion 6 of the base 2 by merely pushing in the button 25 with one finger. When the finger is released from the button 25, the elastic member 19 will return to its original oval shape by its own elasticity.

Thus, the cosmetic package 1 includes a two-step lock to secure the plurality of applicators 10 to the base 2. In a first step, the caps 13 of the respective plurality of applicators 10 are fixed to the respective tapered portions 6c of the respective neck portions 6 of the base 2 by the respective resilient members 19. In a second step, the pivot frame 30 is placed in its first rest position, in which the pivot frame 30 covers the covers 13 at least from the top side without abutting the covers 13, so that there is a slight gap G between the covers 13 and the pivot frame 30, which prevents the applicators 10 from ejecting from the respective reservoirs 2a in the bottom 2, see fig. 3.

In the open position, the pivot frame 30 may act as a stand to support the base 2 in the inclined upright position.

According to various exemplary aspects of the present invention, as shown in fig. 6, the cosmetic package 1 includes a bottom portion 2 having six reservoirs 2a and corresponding six applicators 10. In other alternative embodiments, the number of reservoirs 2a and applicators 10 may be greater or less than six.

In certain exemplary aspects, the cosmetic package 1 may have one type of color cosmetic in one reservoir 2a and a different type of color cosmetic in another reservoir 2 a.

According to various exemplary aspects, the pivot frame 30 and collar 5 may be constructed of metal, ceramic, glass, or plastic materials including, but not limited to, acrylic, polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, styrene-acrylonitrile, Polymers of Cyclohexanedimethanol Terephthalate (PCTA), polyoxymethylene, nylon, rubber, synthetic rubber, silicone, neoprene, santoprene, thermoplastic rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, and combinations thereof. The material may be opaque or transparent.

The foregoing description, for purpose of explanation, has been described with reference to specific examples. Many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. Claims (20)

1. A cosmetic package, characterized by: the method comprises the following steps:

a bottom having a plurality of reservoirs;

a pivot frame rotatably secured to the base;

a plurality of applicators removably attached to the respective plurality of reservoirs;

wherein each of the plurality of reservoirs is capable of holding a cosmetic or care product;

wherein each of the plurality of applicators comprises a stem, a cap at a proximal end of the stem, and an applicator element at a distal end of the stem;

wherein the pivot frame is configured to have a closed position and at least one open position;

wherein, in the open position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame is at a non-zero angle relative to a vertical axis of the base;

wherein, in the open position of the pivot frame, each of the plurality of applicators is disengageable from the base by pushing a button present in the respective covers;

wherein, in the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame is at a zero angle relative to a vertical axis of the base and prevents disengagement of the plurality of applicators from the corresponding plurality of reservoirs of the base;

wherein, in the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame covers the covers of the plurality of applicators from the top sides of the covers without abutting the covers such that there is a slight gap between the covers and the pivot frame that prevents accidental ejection of the plurality of applicators from the respective plurality of reservoirs by limiting axial movement of the plurality of applicators in an upward direction.

2. A cosmetic package according to claim 1, characterized in that: at least two cosmetic products contained in respective ones of the plurality of reservoirs are different from each other, and at least two of the plurality of applicators contained in respective ones of the plurality of reservoirs are different from each other.

3. A cosmetic package according to claim 1, characterized in that: the plurality of applicators are positioned in the respective plurality of reservoirs and the covers of the plurality of applicators seal the respective plurality of reservoirs.

4. A cosmetic package according to claim 1, characterized in that: each of the plurality of reservoirs of the base has an opening at the proximal end of the base, and wherein a collar is fitted over the proximal end of the base.

5. A cosmetic package according to claim 4, characterized in that: the collar has a plurality of neck portions, and wherein each of the plurality of neck portions of the collar fits over a respective opening of the plurality of reservoirs.

6. A cosmetic package according to claim 5, characterized in that: the plurality of applicators are secured to the base via the collar.

7. A cosmetic package according to claim 1, characterized in that: the plurality of reservoirs of the bottom are identical to each other and are regularly spaced from each other while extending parallel to each other.

8. A cosmetic package according to claim 1, characterized in that: the pivot frame is rotated more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees relative to the vertical axis of the base.

9. A cosmetic package according to claim 1, characterized in that: the pivot frame includes a rear wall, a top wall, a left side wall and a right side wall.

10. A cosmetic package according to claim 9, wherein: the pivot frame is rotatably attached to the base by a pair of recesses and a pair of protrusions, and wherein the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls of the pivot frame include the pair of recesses that mate with the corresponding pair of protrusions on the outer surfaces of the upper left and right edges of the base.

11. A cosmetic package according to claim 9, wherein: in the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame encloses the covers of the plurality of applicators from the top, back, left and right sides of the cosmetic package through the top, back, left and right side walls of the pivot frame, respectively.

12. A cosmetic package according to claim 9, wherein: in the closed position of the pivot frame, the top wall of the pivot frame extends over the covers of the plurality of applicators without abutting the covers.

13. A cosmetic package according to claim 10, wherein: the cosmetic package includes means for allowing the pivot frame to rest relative to the base about at least two different angular positions, and wherein the means includes a pair of protrusions on the outer surfaces of the upper left and right edges of the base and a pair of protrusions on the inner surfaces of the left and right side walls of the pivot frame.

14. A cosmetic package according to claim 13, wherein: a first rest position of the pivot frame at an angle of zero degrees relative to a vertical axis of the base and corresponding to a closed position of the pivot frame, a second rest position of the pivot frame at a non-zero angle relative to a vertical axis of the base and corresponding to an open position of the pivot frame.

15. A cosmetic package according to claim 14, wherein: the non-zero angle is selected from the range of 120 degrees to 160 degrees.

16. A cosmetic package according to claim 5, characterized in that: each of these caps comprises a cap body adapted to fit detachably around a respective neck portion of the collar.

17. A cosmetic package according to claim 16, wherein: the cover houses a spring and a resilient member, and wherein the button is integral with the resilient member, and wherein the button is slidably mounted in a radial through hole formed in at least one sidewall of the cover.

18. A cosmetic package according to claim 17, wherein: the elastic member has an elliptical structure that engages with the tapered portion of the corresponding neck portion of the plurality of neck portions of the collar, thereby preventing the cap from falling off the bottom, and wherein, when the button is pushed in by pressing, the elastic member is deformed into a circular shape having a diameter larger than a diameter of the cylindrical edge portion of the corresponding neck portion of the plurality of neck portions of the collar, so that the elastic member is disengaged from the tapered portion of the corresponding neck portion of the collar.

19. A cosmetic package according to claim 18, wherein: when the button is pushed in, the cover is spontaneously pushed upwards by the force of the spring.

20. A cosmetic package, characterized by: the method comprises the following steps:

a bottom having at least one reservoir;

A pivot frame rotatably secured to the base;

at least one applicator removably attached to the at least one reservoir;

wherein each of the applicators comprises a stem, a cap at a proximal end of the stem, and an applicator element at a distal end of the stem;

wherein the pivot frame is configured to have a closed position and at least one open position;

wherein, in the open position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame is at a non-zero angle relative to a vertical axis of the base;

wherein in the open position of the pivot frame the at least one applicator is disengageable from the base;

wherein, in the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame is at a zero angle relative to a vertical axis of the base and prevents at least one applicator from disengaging from the at least one reservoir of the base;

wherein, in the closed position of the pivot frame, the pivot frame covers the covers of the at least one applicator from at least one top side of the covers without abutting the covers, such that there is a slight gap between the covers and the pivot frame that prevents accidental ejection of the at least one applicator from the at least one reservoir by limiting axial movement of the at least one applicator in an upward direction.
