Detailed Description
The present invention will be described below with reference to specific embodiments. It should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating the preferred embodiment of the invention, are given by way of illustration only. Accordingly, the following examples are illustrative only, and the scope of the invention is to be limited only by the following claims.
It should be noted that in the following description, the terms of orientation "upper", "lower", "inner", "outer", "top", "bottom", and the like are used with respect to the state in which the protective cover assembly is mounted on the monitoring camera.
Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a protective cover assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention together with a camera body 5 and a ceiling 7. It should be understood that only the portion of the camera body 5 exposed outside the ceiling 7 is shown in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 1, the protective cover assembly includes a design assembly 1 and an adaptor 3 for protecting a camera body 5 from external mechanical damage and preventing dust from accumulating on the camera body 5. The adaptor 3 can be mounted to the camera body 5, and the appearance assembly 1 can be mounted to the adaptor 3. That is, the appearance module 1 can be mounted to the camera body 5 by means of the adaptor 3. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the camera body 5 may be mounted in various other suitable positions (such as a wall surface, etc.) in addition to the ceiling 7.
The construction of the appearance assembly 1 and the adaptor 3 will be described in detail below with reference to fig. 2 and 3, respectively, and the assembly structure of both will be described with reference to fig. 4.
As shown in fig. 2, the appearance assembly 1 includes a cover 101, a decoration ring 102, and a cover holder 103. The casing 101 can rest on the inner ring of the trim ring 102 and be firmly connected to the trim ring 102 by means of a casing mount 103. The trim ring 102 is provided with a locking portion configured to engage with a positioning portion (to be described in detail below) on the adaptor 3 to connect the appearance assembly 1 to the adaptor 3.
In particular, the casing 101 is a hemispherical shell member having an outward casing flange 101a at the rim, the outward casing flange 101a being intended to rest on the inner ring of the trim ring 102. The housing 101 is typically made of a transparent or translucent material to ensure that the optical components, such as the camera, therein are functioning properly. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the casing 101 may also have any other suitable shape.
The trim ring 102 is an annular plate-shaped member, and has a plurality of locking portions uniformly distributed on an inner surface thereof (i.e., a surface that is not exposed after the mounting is completed). In the particular embodiment shown in fig. 2, the locking portion is a boss 102a, the boss 102a having a flange on an upper end surface thereof. The flange may be integrally injection molded with the boss 102a from plastic. Alternatively, the flange may be formed by means of a washer 9 fixedly mounted on the upper end face of the boss 102a, as shown in detail in fig. 4. At this point, the stud 102a is provided with a central hole, which may or may not be threaded, which is respectively intended to cooperate with a fastener, such as a screw or a pin, to fix the washer 9 on the stud 102a. Preferably, the washer 9 may have a washer flange 9a (shown in fig. 4) configured to be inserted into a central hole of the boss 102a to further prevent radial movement of the washer 9 relative to the boss 102a. The washer 9 may be made of metal, such as copper, whereby the load-bearing capacity of the locking portion may be increased. Preferably, the ornamental ring 102 has a downward taper from an outer circumference thereof to an inner circumference thereof such that a space for receiving the boss 102a is formed between upper and lower end faces of the ornamental ring 102. Therefore, after the installation is completed, the upper end surface of the decoration ring 102 can be overlapped with the plane of the ceiling 7, so that no gap exists between the decoration ring 102 and the ceiling 7, thereby preventing the foreign matters such as flying insects or dust from entering the appearance component 1. Further, the inner surface of the decoration ring 102 is provided with ribs 102b in the radial direction and the circumferential direction for increasing the mechanical strength and rigidity of the decoration ring 102.
The cover holder 103 is an annular member configured to firmly fix the cover 101 to the decoration ring 102.
As shown in fig. 3, the adaptor 3 is an annular plate-shaped member, and a captive screw 11 is mounted on the adaptor 3, and the captive screw 11 is used for fixedly mounting the adaptor 3 on the camera body 5. Furthermore, the adaptor 3 is provided with positioning portions corresponding to a plurality of locking portions evenly distributed on the decorative ring 102. In the specific embodiment shown in fig. 3, the positioning portion is a sunken portion, and the sunken portion is provided with a positioning hole 301 at the bottom. The protruding column 102a with flange as described above can extend into the positioning hole 301 of the sinking portion, and is engaged in the positioning hole 301 by the relative movement between the appearance component 1 and the adaptor 3. Wherein the relative movement may be a rotational movement of the appearance assembly 1 relative to the adaptor 3.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 3, the positioning hole 301 is a gourd-shaped positioning hole. That is, the positioning hole 301 is formed by two approximately circular portions, i.e., a larger size portion and a smaller size portion. The dimension (diameter) of the larger dimension portion is larger than that of the flange of the stud 102a, so that the flange of the stud 102a can extend into the sunken part through the larger dimension portion, and the dimension of the smaller dimension portion is smaller than that of the flange of the stud 102a, so that when the stud 102a is rotated into the smaller dimension portion, the flange of the stud 102a cannot be pulled out of the smaller dimension portion along a direction perpendicular to the plane of the positioning hole 301. The junction of the larger-size part and the smaller-size part is a neck part of the positioning hole 301, the size of the neck part is slightly smaller than that of the convex column 102a, and the neck part has certain deformation capacity. Thus, when the appearance component 1 is rotated after the flange of the stud 102a has been projected into the depressed portion through the larger-sized portion of the positioning hole 301 so that the stud 102a moves toward the smaller-sized portion of the positioning hole 301, the neck portion can be deformed to allow the stud 102a to pass over it to the smaller-sized portion of the positioning hole 301, and then the neck portion will return to its original shape to prevent the stud 102a from moving toward the larger-sized portion of the positioning hole 301 due to the disturbance, thereby ensuring that the stud 102a and the smaller-sized portion of the positioning hole 301 are securely snapped together.
However, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the positioning hole 301 may have any other suitable shape than the gourd-shaped shape. The suitable shape may include a larger dimension portion and a smaller dimension portion connected by a neck portion, the larger dimension portion allowing the locking portion on the appearance assembly to pass therethrough into the depressed portion, the smaller dimension portion for restricting movement of the locking portion in a downward direction perpendicular to the plane of the positioning hole 301, and the neck portion for restricting movement of the locking portion toward the larger dimension portion so that the locking portion is securely snapped into the positioning portion.
Preferably, the size of the adaptor 3 is smaller than the size of the trim ring 102, so that after the installation, the adaptor 3 can be completely covered by the trim ring 102.
The protective cover assembly is separately assembled by the appearance assembly and the adapter piece when leaving a factory, and a user can install the protective cover assembly on the monitoring camera by simple installation steps. The mounting step mainly comprises the following two steps. First, the captive screw 11 on the adaptor 3 is screwed into the threaded hole of the camera body 5, thereby fixedly attaching the adaptor 3 to the camera body 5, as shown in fig. 5a and 5 b. Then, as shown in fig. 6a and 6b, the boss 102a of the assembled appearance component 1 is passed through the larger-sized portion of the positioning hole 301 of the adaptor 3, and the appearance component is rotated in the direction indicated by the arrow a in the figure, so that the boss 102a moves toward the smaller-sized portion of the positioning hole 301 to snap the washer 9 in the smaller-sized portion of the positioning hole 301. In this step, the user can judge whether to be mounted in place by feel or sound. The installation step described above is easy to operate and there are no exposed screws after installation is complete, thereby ensuring the visual integrity of the protective cover assembly. When the user needs to detach the appearance component, the user only needs to rotate the appearance component towards the opposite direction.
Although in the above preferred embodiment, the cover 101 is formed separately from the bezel 102 and is connected together by the cover mount 103, it should be understood that the cover 101 and the bezel 102 may be integrally formed. Furthermore, in the above-described preferred embodiment, the stud 102a is formed on the trim ring 102 and the positioning hole 301 is formed on the adaptor 3, but it should also be understood that it is also possible that the stud 102a is formed on the adaptor 3 and the positioning hole 301 is formed on the trim ring 102.
Furthermore, according to the utility model discloses a adaptor of safety cover subassembly can be installed through the current screw hole that is used for installing the outward appearance subassembly in the camera main part, therefore this safety cover subassembly can be used for replacing the outward appearance subassembly that has adopted the mode installation among the prior art. Specifically, the user only needs to lift off the outward appearance subassembly of the surveillance camera machine among the prior art and be used for the exposed screw of its installation, then installs in proper order and be according to the utility model discloses a adaptor and the outward appearance subassembly of safety cover subassembly can realize not having the outward appearance subassembly mounting structure who exposes the screw.
Although specific embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, substitutions and changes may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments described above, but is only limited by the appended claims.
