Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a handle, and more particularly, to an interchangeable handle for a needle used for bone marrow biopsy and suction.
Background
The needles for bone marrow biopsy and aspiration currently known have a conventional handle which requires the surgeon to hold it in a supine position with his/her hands and arms, which can produce a certain margin of error in the sampling. In addition, the orientation of the handle is not conducive to one side of the user's usage and is therefore the same for each individual. A needle for biopsy is disclosed in patent application US20040133124a1, where the handle has a scissor-like design and for its operation it requires hand bending, in particular thumb and index finger. Also other types of designs (such as the one in the US4976269 patent) disclose a handle that is pressed by hand like a pistol, and the design in the US4733671 patent may cause a sudden movement towards the patient during sampling.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
As an object of the present invention, the present invention provides an interchangeable handle for needles for bone marrow biopsy and aspiration, which, thanks to the personalized design, provides better support for the surgeon, depending on its familiar lateral hand, resulting in the most comfortable and accurate use when taking samples. There are provided 3 handle configurations: the centered handle is for use by a right-handed user or a left-handed user, the right-handed handle having a grip for use by a right-handed user, and the handle having a left-handed grip for use by a left-handed user.
The present application is an improvement to patent US2010234761 (related to this patent) in which the needle grip (hereinafter referred to as the handle design) is interchangeable and has 3 ergonomic configurations that facilitate the user's familiar one-sided hand, providing greater precision and greater grasping when sampling.
The handle is designed in such a way that it is easier to hold and exert force, with less effort to achieve good results. The main advantage is the whole device and its simple operation, which facilitates the process of collecting liquid samples of bone marrow and solid bone samples under optimal conditions for laboratory analysis by the user.
The utility model discloses an interchangeable customized handle of needle for bone marrow biopsy and suction, which will enable the user to better support the needle, thereby using the most comfortable and accurate when sampling.
The utility model discloses a needle handle for bone marrow biopsy and suction, which can be exchanged according to the configuration mode required by the user, wherein, during puncture, the mode provides higher accuracy and stability for the user due to the customized and ergonomic geometric structure; the utility model discloses still can adjust according to the familiar one side hand of user, can have 3 at least configuration modes (see fig. 3):
1. a handle with a centered grip for use by a right-handed user or a left-handed user (see FIG. 3 a);
2. a handle with a right-handed grip for use by a right-handed user (see fig. 3 b); and
3. the handle with the left-hand grip is intended for use by a left-handed user (see fig. 3 c).
The material for manufacturing the handle recommended in the utility model is preferably ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) and also PLA (polylactic acid); furthermore, its geometry can be customized and adapted to the needs of the user and the needles present on the market.
Drawings
FIG. 1 shows a front view of the handle in its neutral configuration;
FIG. 2a shows a front view of the lower portion of the handle with an intermediate grip mounted on the needle for bone marrow biopsy and aspiration;
FIG. 2b shows a front view of the handle with the needle-mounted middle grip for bone marrow biopsy and aspiration;
FIG. 3a shows an exploded view of a handle with a centered grip;
FIG. 3b shows an exploded view of the handle with a right-hand grip;
figure 3c shows an exploded view of the handle with a left hand grip.
Detailed Description
As can be seen from fig. 1, the handle has in its configuration a central grip and its two main parts (a handle pad (1) placed on top of the needle, and a lower part (2) of the handle through which the needle passes (2)); they are connected together by pressure to form a sealed closure, allowing the user to hold properly as it allows the user's palm to surround or embrace the handle against movement during lancing and sampling.
The handle with the centered grip and mounted on the needle can be clearly seen in fig. 2a and 2b, where the handle consists of two main parts: a handle pad (1) and a lower part (2) of the handle, these 2 parts being placed on the needle, as follows:
a) the handle pad (1) is placed around and over the needle tip by inserting the needle through the hole (4) under the pad until the needle tip is gripped by the handle pad (1) by pressure (preventing needle loosening);
b) the needle is inserted into a hole (3) through the bottom (2) of the handle until the handle pad (1) and the bottom (2) of the handle are closed under a certain pressure.
