Detailed Description
According to the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the household appliance 10 comprises an actuator or sensor 5.
The actuator or sensor may be configured to perform one or more appliance functions, such as a function for driving a moving part of the device, or a heating function, a weighing function.
The household appliance 10 further comprises a controller 1 configured to control the implementation of the different functions of the appliance, in particular the household appliance functions.
Control of the implementation of the appliance functions is achieved based on instructions received from a user via a user interface.
The user interface of the household appliance 10 comprises at least one light emitting diode 3, which light emitting diode 3 is first configured to provide visual information to the user about the status of the appliance.
For this purpose, the light-emitting diodes 3 are placed on a surface portion of the device that is accessible and visible, which surface portion is occupied by the user interface of the household appliance 10.
The light emitting diodes 3 are activated by the controller depending on the state of the device. The light emitting diode is configured to emit a light emitting signal 4', as is often the case when a particular state of the apparatus is signaled visually to the user.
According to one embodiment of the present invention, the light emitting diode 3 is further configured to generate an electrical signal to the controller 1 when it is excited by the light emitting signal 4 received by the light emitting diode 3.
The controller 1 is designed to measure the electrical signal generated after the activation of the light-emitting diode 3 by means of the luminous signal 4 and to determine the parameterization information on the basis of the electrical signal.
Based on this parameterization information, the controller is configured to parameterize the home device 10.
According to the embodiment shown in fig. 1, the light emitting signal 4 received by the light emitting diode may be emitted by the mobile communication terminal 2.
The mobile communication terminal 2 may be a tablet computer or an intelligent portable telephone, for example of the smartphone type.
The mobile communication terminal 2 may be equipped with a flash configured to emit a light emission signal 4 with parametric information, for example in the form of a light emission signal modulated by a signal representing the parametric information.
According to one embodiment, the flash of the mobile communication terminal 2 is activated in order to encode the string corresponding to the parametric information, and the light emitting diode 3 is activated by the light emission signal 4 thus encoded, so that the controller 1 reconstructs the string of parametric information after decoding the light emission signal 4.
The parameterization information may be pre-recorded on the mobile communication terminal 2, for example. The transmission of parametric information to the household appliance is thus made particularly easy from the mobile communication terminal 2, which mobile communication terminal 2 is configured to emit a modulated light emission signal 4 according to these pre-recorded information.
The parametric information may for example comprise information for controlling the operation of the actuators or sensors 5; thus, once the household appliance 10 has been parameterized by the controller 1 using the parameterization information received via the light-emitting signal 4 emitted by the mobile communication terminal 2, the operation of the actuator is determined by the parameterization information.
The parameterization information may for example comprise a connection identifier necessary for establishing a connection between the radio-frequency communication module 6 of the household appliance 10 and the connection station to the local area network and/or wide area network.
The connection station may be, for example, a dedicated box provided by an internet access provider, and the wide area network may be, for example, the internet.
The connection between the radio-frequency communication module 6 of the household appliance 10 and the connection station can be established via a secure communication protocol requiring a connection identifier, for example of the wifi type.
Thus, the transmission of the connection identifier to the household appliance 10 is made particularly easy from the mobile communication terminal 2, which information is pre-recorded in the mobile communication terminal 2 after the first connection between the mobile communication terminal 2 and the connection station, the mobile communication terminal 2 being configured to emit a modulated light emission signal in accordance with the pre-recorded information.
The parameterization information may, for example, include an identifier of an account on a server of the manufacturer or distributor that is used to connect the home device 10 to the home device 10, in order to allow updating of the software configuration of the home device 10. These connection identifiers may also be pre-recorded on the mobile communication terminal 2, for example after the first connection of the mobile communication terminal 2 with an account on a server.
According to these arrangements, connection of the home appliance 10 to the server becomes particularly easy from the mobile communication terminal 2, the information is recorded in advance on the mobile communication terminal 2, and the mobile communication terminal 2 is configured to emit a modulated light emission signal according to the information recorded in advance.
According to these arrangements, no virtual keyboard is required on the household appliance 10 to enter the parameterized information, and the keyboard of the mobile communication terminal 2 allows for such information to be entered on the mobile communication terminal 2 once and for all.
According to these settings, the household appliance 10, after having connected to the remote server according to the above-described procedure, can then send to the server or to the user connected to the remote server information about the progress of the household appliance functions or about the operating state of the appliance, said information being sent out via the radio-frequency communication module 6 under the control of the controller 1.
According to one embodiment, such information may be sent directly to the user holding the mobile communication terminal 2 without going through a local area network or a wide area network; according to this embodiment, the controller 1 is configured to control the emission of a modulated light emission signal 4' by the light emitting diode 3 in accordance with the information to be transmitted.
The modulated luminescent signal 4 'is then received by the mobile communication terminal 2 configured to receive the luminescent signal 4'.
To this end, the camera integrated into the mobile communication terminal 2 is configured to pick up the luminous signal 4' and present to the user of the mobile communication terminal 2 information about the progress of the household electrical function or the operating state of the household electrical appliance 10 emitted by the household electrical appliance 10.
According to these settings, the home appliance 10 performs bidirectional optical communication with the mobile communication terminal 2.
The invention also relates to a method 100 for parameterizing an electric household appliance 10 from a mobile communication terminal 2, said method 100 comprising the following steps, implemented by the electric household appliance 10 and schematically illustrated in fig. 3:
-receiving 101 by a light emitting diode 3 a first light emitting signal 4 comprising parametric information, said first light emitting signal 4 being emitted by said mobile communication terminal 2;
-generating 102 an electrical signal by said light emitting diode 3, said electrical signal being a function of said parametric information;
-measuring 103 by the controller 1 the electrical signal generated by the light emitting diode 3 and determining 104 by the controller 1 the parametric information;
parameterizing 105 the home device 10 by the controller 1.
The method 100 further comprises the steps of:
-emitting a second light signal by said controller control 106 to said mobile communication terminal 2 through a light emitting diode.
The present invention also relates to a method 200 for parameterizing an electric household appliance 10 from a mobile communication terminal 2, said method 200 comprising the following steps, implemented by the mobile communication terminal 2 and schematically shown in fig. 3:
-emitting 201 a first light emitting signal 4 comprising parametric information by a light emitter of the mobile communication terminal 2.
The method 200 further comprises the steps of:
receiving 202 by said mobile communication terminal 2 a luminous signal 4' emitted by a light emitting diode 3 of said household appliance 10.
