Technical Field

Background
In the prior art, receptacle connectors adapted to be mounted to a panel are typically circular connectors. A flange plate is formed on the housing of the circular connector, and the flange plate is connected and fixed to the panel by bolts and nuts. A drawback of such existing socket connectors is that they are complicated and costly to install and it is difficult to achieve a watertight seal between the socket connector and the panel.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The object of the present invention is to solve at least one of the above problems and drawbacks existing in the prior art.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a receptacle connector, including: a first housing; and a first terminal provided in the first housing. The socket connector further comprises an elastic buckle and a cover plate which are formed on the outer wall of the first shell; the first housing is adapted to be inserted into a mounting hole of a panel and rotatable between an unlocked position separated from the panel and a locked position engaged with the panel; when the first housing is rotated to the locked position, the panel is clamped between the resilient catch and the cover plate, thereby securing the receptacle connector to the panel.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, an arc-shaped groove is provided between the elastic buckle and the cover plate; when the first housing is rotated to the locking position, a part of the edge portion of the mounting hole of the panel is inserted into the arc-shaped groove, thereby clamping the panel between the elastic catch and the cover plate.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the elastic buckle has a hook portion located at one side of the arc-shaped groove, and a groove is formed on an edge portion of the mounting hole of the panel; when the first housing is rotated to the locking position, the hook of the elastic catch catches into the groove, thereby locking the first housing to the panel.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the groove on the panel is a bottomed groove formed on a surface of the panel facing the elastic buckle.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, when the first housing is rotated to the locking position, the cover plate covers the mounting hole on the panel.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the socket connector further comprises an elastic sealing ring disposed on the cover plate; when the first housing is rotated to the locked position, the elastic sealing ring is pressed between the cover plate and the panel to seal the mounting hole in the panel.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a seal ring positioning groove is formed on an inner side surface of the cover plate facing the mounting hole, the elastic seal ring being positioned in the seal ring positioning groove.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the arc-shaped groove has an opening at one side of the elastic buckle, and a part of an edge portion of the mounting hole is adapted to be embedded into the arc-shaped groove via the opening.

According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the socket connector further comprises a first wire, the first wire extending into the first housing and electrically connected with the first terminal.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a socket connector assembly comprising: the aforementioned socket connector; and a panel formed with a mounting hole. The first housing of the receptacle connector is inserted into the mounting hole of the panel and fixed to the panel.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a connector assembly, comprising: the aforementioned socket connector; and a plug connector adapted to mate with the receptacle connector.
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the plug connector comprises a second housing and a second terminal disposed in the second housing; when the plug connector and the receptacle connector are mated together, one end of the second housing is inserted into the first housing, and the second terminal is electrically connected with the first terminal.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a snap ring is formed on one of the first housing and the second housing, and an elastic clip is formed on the other; when the plug connector and the socket connector are mated together, the elastic buckle is latched into the snap ring, so that the first shell and the second shell are locked together.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the plug connector further comprises an annular resilient sealing member disposed in a positioning groove on the second housing; the annular resilient seal is compressed between the first housing and the second housing to seal a mating interface therebetween when the plug connector and the receptacle connector are mated together.
According to another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the plug connector further comprises a second wire, the second wire extending into the second housing and being electrically connected with the second terminal.
In each of the foregoing exemplary embodiments according to the present invention, the receptacle connector can be conveniently fixed to the panel by rotation without using a connection bolt and a nut, thereby simplifying the installation process of the receptacle connector and reducing the cost.
Furthermore, in some of the foregoing exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the elastic sealing ring can achieve reliable sealing between the receptacle connector and the panel.

Detailed Description
The technical solution of the present invention is further specifically described below by way of examples and with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the specification, the same or similar reference numerals denote the same or similar components. The following description of the embodiments of the present invention with reference to the drawings is intended to explain the general inventive concept and should not be construed as limiting the invention.
Furthermore, in the following detailed description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments of the disclosure. It may be evident, however, that one or more embodiments may be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in schematic form in order to simplify the drawing.
According to a general technical concept of the present invention, there is provided a socket connector, including: a first housing; and a first terminal provided in the first housing. The socket connector further comprises an elastic buckle and a cover plate which are formed on the outer wall of the first shell; the first housing is adapted to be inserted into a mounting hole of a panel and rotatable between an unlocked position separated from the panel and a locked position engaged with the panel; when the first housing is rotated to the locked position, the panel is clamped between the resilient catch and the cover plate, thereby securing the receptacle connector to the panel.
Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a receptacle connector 100 and a panel 10 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, wherein the receptacle connector 100 has not been mounted on the panel 10; fig. 2 shows a perspective view of a receptacle connector 100 and a panel 10 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, wherein the receptacle connector 100 has been mounted on the panel 10.
As shown in fig. 1 and 2, in the illustrated embodiment, the receptacle connector mainly includes a first housing 110 and a first terminal 120. The first terminal 120 is disposed in the first housing 110.
Fig. 4 shows the receptacle connector 100 rotated to the locked position.
As shown in fig. 1-2 and 4, in the illustrated embodiment, the receptacle connector further includes a resilient catch 112 and a cover plate 111 formed on an outer wall of the first housing 110. The first housing 110 is adapted to be inserted into the mounting hole 11 of the panel 10 and rotatable between an unlocked position separated from the panel 10 and a locked position engaged with the panel 10. When the first housing 110 is rotated to the locking position, the panel 10 is clamped between the elastic catch 112 and the cover plate 111, thereby fixing the receptacle connector 100 to the panel 10.
Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the receptacle connector 100 and the panel 10 shown in fig. 2, viewed from the rear side.
As shown in fig. 1 to 4, in the illustrated embodiment, an arc-shaped groove 113 is formed between the elastic catch 112 and the cover plate 111. When the first housing 110 is rotated to the locking position, a part of the edge portion 11a of the mounting hole 11 of the panel 10 is fitted into the arc-shaped groove 113, thereby clamping the panel 10 between the elastic catch 112 and the cover plate 111.
As shown in fig. 1 to 4, in the illustrated embodiment, the elastic catch 112 has a hook 112b at one side of an arc-shaped groove 113, and a groove 11b is formed on an edge portion 11a of the mounting hole 11 of the panel 10. When the first housing 110 is rotated to the locking position, the hook 112b of the elastic catch 112 is caught in the groove 11b, thereby locking the first housing 100 to the panel 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 4, in the illustrated embodiment, the groove 11b on the panel 10 is a bottomed groove formed on a surface of the panel 10 facing the elastic catch 112.
Fig. 5 shows a cross-sectional view of the receptacle connector 100 shown in fig. 4.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, when the first housing 110 is rotated to the locking position, the cover plate 111 covers the mounting hole 11 of the panel 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the receptacle connector 100 further includes an elastic sealing ring 101 disposed on the cover plate 111. When the first housing 110 is rotated to the locking position, the elastic packing 101 is pressed between the cover plate 111 and the panel 10 to seal the mounting hole 11 of the panel 10.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, a packing positioning groove is formed on an inner side surface of the cover plate 111 facing the mounting hole 11, and the elastic packing 101 is positioned in the packing positioning groove.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the arc-shaped groove 113 has an opening 113a at one side of the elastic catch 112, and a part of the edge portion 11a of the mounting hole 11 is adapted to be inserted into the arc-shaped groove 113 through the opening 113 a.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the other side of the elastic catch 112 opposite to the opening 113a is connected to the surface of the cover plate 111.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the opening 113a of the arc-shaped groove 113 has a flared shape gradually opening outward so as to guide the edge portion 11a of the mounting hole 11 into the arc-shaped groove 113.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, the receptacle connector 100 further includes a first conductive wire 1, and the first conductive wire 1 extends into the first housing 110 and is electrically connected to the first terminal 120.
As shown in fig. 1 to 5, in the illustrated embodiment, a jack connector assembly is also disclosed, comprising the aforementioned jack connector 100 and a panel 10. A mounting hole 11 is formed on the panel 10, and the first housing 110 of the receptacle connector 100 is inserted into the mounting hole 11 of the panel 10 and fixed to the panel 10.
Fig. 6 is an exploded view of the receptacle connector 100 and the mating plug connector 200 shown in fig. 2; fig. 7 is a perspective view of the receptacle connector 100 and the plug connector 200 shown in fig. 6.
As shown in fig. 6 and 7, in another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a connector assembly is also disclosed, which mainly comprises the aforementioned receptacle connector 100 and plug connector 200. Suitable for mating the plug connector 200 with the receptacle connector 100.
As shown in fig. 6 and 7, in the illustrated embodiment, the plug connector 200 includes a second housing 210 and a second terminal (not shown) disposed in the second housing 210. When the plug connector 200 and the receptacle connector 100 are mated together, one end of the second housing 210 is inserted into the first housing 110, and the second terminals are electrically connected with the first terminals 120.
As shown in fig. 6 and 7, in the illustrated embodiment, a snap ring 110a is formed on one of the first and second housings 110 and 210, and an elastic catch 210a is formed on the other. When the plug connector 200 and the receptacle connector 100 are mated together, the resilient latch 210a latches into the snap ring 110a, thereby locking the first housing 110 and the second housing 210 together.
As shown in fig. 6 and 7, in the illustrated embodiment, the plug connector 200 further includes an annular resilient seal 201 disposed in a locating groove on the second housing 210. When the plug connector 200 and the receptacle connector 100 are mated together, the annular resilient seal 201 is compressed between the first housing 110 and the second housing 210 to seal the mating interface therebetween.
As shown in fig. 6 and 7, in the illustrated embodiment, the plug connector 200 further includes a second wire 2, and the second wire 2 protrudes into the second housing 210 and is electrically connected to the second terminal.
It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the embodiments described above are exemplary and can be modified by those skilled in the art, and that the structures described in the various embodiments can be freely combined without conflict in structure or principle.

Claims (17)
1. A receptacle connector comprising:
a first housing (110); and
a first terminal (120) provided in the first housing (110),
the method is characterized in that:
the receptacle connector further comprises a resilient catch and a cover plate (111) formed on an outer wall of the first housing (110);
the first housing (110) is adapted to be inserted into a mounting hole (11) of a panel (10) and rotatable between an unlocked position separated from the panel (10) and a locked position engaged with the panel (10);
when the first housing (110) is rotated to the locked position, the panel (10) is clamped between the resilient catch and the cover plate (111), thereby securing the receptacle connector (100) to the panel (10).
2. The receptacle connector according to claim 1, wherein:
an arc-shaped groove (113) is formed between the elastic buckle and the cover plate (111);
when the first housing (110) is rotated to the lock position, a part of an edge portion (11a) of the mounting hole (11) of the panel (10) is fitted into the arc-shaped groove (113), thereby clamping the panel (10) between the elastic catch and the cover plate (111).
3. The receptacle connector according to claim 2, wherein:
the elastic buckle is provided with a hook-shaped part (112b) positioned on one side of the arc-shaped groove (113), and a groove (11b) is formed on the edge part (11a) of the mounting hole (11) of the panel (10);
when the first housing (110) is rotated to the locking position, the hook (112b) of the elastic catch latches into the groove (11b), thereby locking the first housing (110) to the panel (10).
4. The receptacle connector according to claim 3, wherein:
the groove (11b) on the panel (10) is a bottomed groove formed on a surface of the panel (10) facing the elastic catch.
5. The receptacle connector according to claim 1, wherein:
when the first housing (110) is rotated to the locking position, the cover plate (111) covers the mounting hole (11) on the panel (10).
6. The receptacle connector according to claim 5, wherein:
the socket connector (100) further comprises an elastic sealing ring (101) arranged on the cover plate (111);
when the first housing (110) is rotated to the locking position, the elastic packing (101) is pressed between the cover plate (111) and the face plate (10) to seal the mounting hole (11) on the face plate (10).
7. The receptacle connector according to claim 6, wherein:
a packing positioning groove is formed on an inner side surface of the cover plate (111) facing the mounting hole (11), and the elastic packing (101) is positioned in the packing positioning groove.
8. The receptacle connector according to claim 3, wherein:
the arc-shaped groove (113) is provided with an opening (113a) positioned at one side of the elastic buckle, and a part of the edge part (11a) of the mounting hole (11) is suitable for being embedded into the arc-shaped groove (113) through the opening (113 a).
9. The receptacle connector according to claim 8, wherein:
the other side of the elastic buckle opposite to the opening (113a) is connected to the surface of the cover plate (111).
10. The receptacle connector according to claim 8, wherein:
the opening (113a) of the arc-shaped groove (113) is in a flared shape gradually opening outwards so as to guide the edge portion (11a) of the mounting hole (11) into the arc-shaped groove (113).
11. The receptacle connector according to claim 1, wherein:
the socket connector (100) further comprises a first wire (1), wherein the first wire (1) extends into the first shell (110) and is electrically connected with the first terminal (120).
12. A receptacle connector assembly, comprising:
the socket connector (100) of any one of claims 1 to 11; and
a panel (10) having a mounting hole (11) formed therein,
the first housing (110) of the receptacle connector (100) is inserted into the mounting hole (11) of the panel (10) and fixed to the panel (10).
13. A connector assembly, comprising:
the socket connector (100) of any one of claims 1 to 11; and
a plug connector (200) adapted to mate with the receptacle connector (100).
14. The connector assembly of claim 13, wherein:
the plug connector (200) includes a second housing (210) and a second terminal provided in the second housing (210);
when the plug connector (200) and the receptacle connector (100) are mated together, one end of the second housing (210) is inserted into the first housing (110), and the second terminals are electrically connected with the first terminals (120).
15. The connector assembly of claim 14, wherein:
a snap ring (110a) is formed on one of the first shell (110) and the second shell (210), and an elastic buckle is formed on the other shell;
when the plug connector (200) and the socket connector (100) are mated together, the elastic snap catches are latched into the snap ring (110a), so that the first housing (110) and the second housing (210) are locked together.
16. The connector assembly of claim 14, wherein:
the plug connector (200) further comprises an annular resilient seal (201) disposed in a locating groove on the second housing (210);
the annular resilient seal (201) is compressed between the first housing (110) and the second housing (210) to seal a mating interface therebetween when the plug connector (200) and the receptacle connector (100) are mated together.
17. The connector assembly of claim 14, wherein:
the plug connector (200) further comprises a second wire (2), wherein the second wire (2) extends into the second shell (210) and is electrically connected with the second terminal.
