3. The door assembly of claim 2, wherein said pocket includes a bottom wall surface, a side wall surface and a top wall surface, said side wall surface being arcuate, said bottom wall surface extending smoothly through said side wall surface to said top wall surface.
4. The door assembly of claim 3 wherein said top wall surface has a plurality of ribs disposed therebelow.
5. The door assembly of claim 4 wherein said rib is formed as a unitary structure with said top wall surface.
6. The door assembly of claim 2 further comprising a window screen attached above and completely covering said upper door frame, said window screen having an opening formed therein in communication with said cavity.
7. A door assembly according to claim 6, wherein in the installed condition the lower edge of the window screen opening coincides with the lower edge of the cavity.
8. The door assembly of claim 7 wherein the upper edge of the opening in the panel is further bent downwardly to form a flange, the flange covering the upper edge of the cavity.
9. A door assembly according to claim 6, wherein the outer edge of the upper frame is bent downwardly to form a first peripheral wall and the outer edge of the screen is bent downwardly to form a second peripheral wall, the second peripheral wall surrounding the first peripheral wall in the assembled condition.
10. A laundry treating apparatus, characterized by comprising the door assembly of any one of claims 1-9.
