Description

Warp stop motion device comprising a guide support
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a warp stop motion (warp stop motion) comprising a guide support, in particular a manual locking system for a guide support.
Background
A warp stop motion is an accessory for a loom that has the function of controlling each individual warp thread and of immediately stopping weaving in the event of a thread break.
The structure of warp stop motion devices is basically made of two end pieces connected together with a pipe.
These end pieces support the bank (i.e. the steel contact strips isolated from each other) which, in the event of a warp break, sends a stop signal to the loom by electrically closing the electric circuit.
Two or more supports, called "guide supports", have the function of supporting the bank and are arranged in intermediate positions.
The position of the supports can be varied according to the requirements of the user who can move them along the pipe connecting the two end pieces. For this purpose, the operator must resort to a specially designed tool (for example, a hexagonal wrench, a ring wrench, a screwdriver or the like), unscrew the screw, move the guide support and then close it back into position again with the aid of the tool.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a warp stop motion device comprising a universal guide support.
Another object is to provide a guide support that is easy to move.
According to the invention, the above and other objects are still achieved by a warp stop motion device comprising a guide support, wherein the guide support comprises a central body having two seats for two support tubes; and the guide support comprises a locking system for locking the guide support to the support tube; characterized in that the locking system comprises: two rods laterally arranged and hinged on the central body; a steering screw disposed below the rod, the steering screw enabling the rod to open and close on the support tube.
In a preferred aspect, the seats for the two support tubes comprise two extensions of the central body, said two extensions leaving an open portion between the extensions and the central body forming two lateral hooks, wherein the opening faces upwards.
In a preferred aspect, the two levers comprise pins which pivot in two holes provided on the two lateral hooks.
In a preferred aspect, the steering screw comprises a knob fixed to a first shank having a first diameter, the first shank being fixed to a second shank having a second diameter greater than said first diameter, the second shank being fixed to the third threaded shank.
In a preferred aspect, there is a hole at the bottom end of the two rods into which the cylinder is inserted.
In a preferred aspect, one cylinder includes a through hole and the other cylinder includes a threaded hole.
In a preferred aspect, the first shank is inserted into a cylinder having a through bore and the third threaded shank is screwed into the threaded cylinder.
In a preferred aspect, the second shank is designed to abut against a cylinder having a through hole.
The advantages of this solution are numerous compared to the prior art solutions.
The solution consists in implementing in the warp stop motion device, more precisely on the guide support, a system which will enable the support to be locked and released by the operator only by hand, thus not having to resort to special equipment.
This has considerable advantages in terms of saving time. A plurality of guide supports are mounted on a single warp stop motion. During the step of mounting the loom, it may happen that the guide support needs to be moved several times. It is therefore extremely convenient and quick to use without the need for special tools.
Drawings
The characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear more clearly from the following detailed description of a practical embodiment of the invention, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, in which:
figure 1 shows a part of a warp stop motion device according to the invention comprising some guide supports;
figure 2 shows a guide support according to the invention;
figure 3 shows a central body of a guide support according to the invention; and
fig. 4 shows a system for locking a guide support according to the invention.
Detailed Description
With reference to the figures, the warp stop motion device 10 comprises two support tubes 11, arranged parallel to each other, locked at their ends by two end pieces 12.
Warp stop motion device 10 may further comprise a reinforcing support 16 connected to support pipe 11.
A plurality of guide supports 15 are arranged in an intermediate position, fixed in a removable manner to the support tube 11.
The guide support 15 comprises a central body 20. At the top, the central body comprises four vertical slits supporting the bank 21. Below these slots, there are three vertical slots which support the flat bar 22. Preferably, there is a circular hole in the side central body in which the reinforcing strip 23 is placed.
Thus, the guide support 15 and the end piece 12 support the bank 21 and the flat strip 22.
Although four banks and three flat bars are shown in the figures, they can be any number as desired.
The central body 20 of the guide support 15 consists of a substantially rectangular body having laterally at the bottom two extensions 24, the two extensions 24 leaving open portions 25 between them and the central body 20 forming two lateral hooks 26 of a U-shape, with the openings facing upwards.
The support tube 11 is placed in these opening sections 25, the shape of which is adapted to the purpose, the support tube 11 having in the specific case an oval cross-section, wherein the long (vertical) sides are rectilinear.
A through hole 27 is provided at the top outer end of the lateral hook 26.
The guide support 15 comprises a locking system 30 for locking it to the support tube 11.
The locking system 30 comprises two lateral rods 31, each lateral rod 31 having a pin 32 arranged substantially at the middle of the rod 31, the pin 32 being intended to be fitted into the through hole 27 and to be fixed therein.
At the top, the rod 31 may have an inclination facing the central body 20 of the guide support 15 in order to increase the clamping action on the support tube 11.
At the bottom end of each rod 31 there is a hole in which a respective cylinder 39 and 40 is inserted, which can rotate in its respective hole. The operating screw 41 connects the two cylinders 39 and 40 together, thus connecting the two rods 31 together.
The manoeuvring screw 41 comprises, at one side, a knob 42 and therefore successively a first rod portion 43 of a first diameter, a second rod portion 44 of a second diameter greater than the first diameter of the first rod portion 43, and a final third threaded rod portion 45 fixed to each other, the third threaded rod portion 45 being screwed into the cylindrical body 40 on the rod 31 at a position opposite to the position to which the knob 42 is fixed.
The knob 42 is a knob having a circular shape and knurled at the outside to enable it to be more easily grasped, but other types of knobs may be used.
The first rod portion 43 is inserted into a hole of the cylinder 39 (one cylinder near the knob 42), and a change in diameter is required between the first rod portion 43 and the second rod portion 44 opposite the cylinder 39; i.e. the second rod 44 abuts against the cylindrical body 39.
Since the pin 32 is locked in the hole 27, by turning the knob 42 to open the lever 31, the cylinder 40 is pulled back, causing the top end of the lever 31 to open outwards, the lever 31 being turned around the pin 32, and the top end of the other lever 31 also opening outwards, since the first lever portion 43 and the cylinder 39 are no longer abutting each other.
Thus, at this point, the locking system 30 may be released from the support tube 11 and the guide support 15 moved along the support tube 11 as desired.
Once the guide support 15 is set in the new position, the guide support 15 can be locked on the support tube 11 by turning the knob 42 back in the opposite direction.
The cylinder 40 is pushed forward, causing the top end of the rod 31 to approach the support tube 11; on the other hand, the abutment between the second rod portion 44 and the cylindrical body 39 pushes the top end of the further rod 31 towards the support tube 11, thereby locking the locking system 30 against the support tube 11.
The operating screw 41 acts on the cylinders 39 and 40 housed at the bottom end of the rod 31, which enables the screw to be held in a horizontal position. The fixing of the guide support 15 to the support tube 11 is ensured by the fact that a high clamping force is exerted on the rod 31 by the operating screw 41, which has a relatively narrow pitch in the third threaded rod portion 45. Moreover, since the body 20 of the guide support 15 is made of thermoplastic material, it undergoes a slight elastic deformation, which further guarantees the tightness of the system.
In summary, the system has been described with respect to the guide support 15, but it can also be implemented on the reinforcing support 16 to be mounted on the warp stop motion device or on any other accessory.
