Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a trolley (or pram or pushchair) comprising a retaining member, and more particularly to a folding trolley which provides an easy and secure support for the folding feet of the trolley.
Background
A stroller (also known as a stroller or a pushchair) is a device used to transport a child or infant. Carts typically include a seat mounted to a frame, wherein the frame is supported on three or more wheels. Generally, such carts are designed to be collapsible so that the cart may be more easily stored or transported on a vehicle or public transport.
To facilitate folding, the frame of a foldable wagon typically includes a plurality of folding mechanisms that allow the handles and the front and rear legs of the wagon to be folded toward one another in a straightforward manner. Typically, such carts, once folded, are configured to stand upright and reduce the footprint. In addition, there is an umbrella-type stroller that folds like a folding umbrella by pushing down on the handle of the stroller by lifting a lever or switch at the rear of the stroller by hand or foot, thereby folding the upper and lower halves of the stroller together. Such "umbrella" style carts are also easy to carry and transport.
It should be noted, however, that after folding a conventional stroller, its folded legs must be prevented from being accidentally or inadvertently unfolded, as this may cause injury to the child or nearby persons. To engage the legs of a conventional wheelbarrow together, a curved folding locking arm may be used, in the form of a hook, to secure the front and rear frames of the wheelbarrow. However, such hook-like members may be unstable, delicate or otherwise inconvenient for direct user manipulation.
It is therefore desirable to provide a trolley with a retaining member that seeks to address or ameliorate at least some of the above disadvantages.

In a first aspect, there is provided a trolley comprising: a front frame pivotally connected with the rear frame for movement between an unfolded state and a folded state; wherein the front frame and the rear frame terminate in one or more wheels; wherein the rear frame comprises at least one retaining member for releasably engaging one or more wheels attached to the front frame.
Advantageously, the at least one retaining member may comprise at least one protrusion for releasably engaging one or more wheels of the front frame. Wherein the at least one tab of the retention member may releasably engage a feature of the one or more wheels of the front frame. Wherein the feature may be at least one recessed portion formed in one or more wheels of the front frame.
Optionally, the at least one retaining member may include at least one recessed portion for releasably engaging one or more wheels of the front frame. Wherein the at least one recessed portion of the retaining member may releasably engage features of the one or more wheels of the front frame. Wherein the feature may be at least one protrusion formed in one or more wheels of the front frame.

Detailed Description
Referring to fig. 1, 2, according to one embodiment of the present application, a stroller 10 includes a front frame 11, a rear frame 13, and a pivot structure 12, wherein the front frame 11 and the rear frame 13 are pivotally connected by the pivot structure 12 for movement between an unfolded state and a folded state. The cart 10 also includes one or more wheels 14, 15, wherein the front frame 11 and the rear frame 13 terminate in one or more wheels 14, 15. The rear frame 13 of the trolley 10 comprises at least one retaining member 16 for releasably engaging one or more wheels 14 attached to the front frame 11, thereby stabilizing the folded trolley in an easy and secure manner. As shown in fig. 1, the rear frame 13 may include two retaining members 16 that are aligned with two corresponding wheels 14 of the front frame 11.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 1, 2, the wagon 10 further comprises a seat 17 and a handle 18, wherein the seat 17 and the handle 18 are also pivotally connected by the pivot structure 12 for movement between the unfolded state and the folded state. In addition, the trolley 10 may include a hinge arrangement 19 pivotally connected at one end to a portion of the front frame 11 and at an opposite end to a portion of the rear frame 13 to link the front frame 11 to the rear frame 13, and a user may place a basket or basket on the hinge arrangement 19 to provide space for the trolley to store items. In addition, the hinge device 19 may be configured like a handle, such that a user may lift the hinge device (handle) 19 upward, which causes the front frame 11 to pivot toward the rear frame 13, thereby moving the stroller 10 from the unfolded state to the folded state. In this way, the wagon 10 can be moved between its fully deployed state (fig. 1-2) and its fully collapsed state (fig. 3c-3d) without the need to remove the seat 17, handle 18 and hinge device 19 from the frame.
It will be understood that the composition of the trolley is not limited to the above-mentioned components, but may also include any other possible components, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Referring now to the embodiment shown in fig. 2-3 c, the process of moving the cart 10 from the fully unfolded state (shown in fig. 2) to the fully folded state (shown in fig. 3 c) will be described by way of example.
The first step of the folding process is to unlock the seat 17, fold the seat back 171 and seat base 172 about the pivot structure 12, and then fold the seat 17 with the handle 18 about the pivot structure 12 towards the rear frame 13 into a partially folded state as shown in fig. 3 a. It is understood that other arrangements in the folding process may be used without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
The next step is to unlock the hinge arrangement 19 and to pivot the hinge arrangement 19 to fold away from the ground (upwards) so that the front and rear frames 11, 13 gradually move towards each other, i.e. the front and rear wheels 14, 15 gradually approach each other, as shown in fig. 3 b. In one embodiment, the front wheels 14 may be turned without being locked to facilitate the engagement of the retaining members 16 of the rear frame 13 with the front wheels 14 in the next step. For example, the front frame 11 may include a universal joint assembled with the front wheels 14 so that the front wheels 14 may rotate 360 degrees in the horizontal direction similarly to the universal wheel.
Fig. 3c and 3d show perspective and side views of the trolley 10 in a fully collapsed state. Next, as shown in fig. 3c and 3d, the retaining members 16 of the rear frame 13 engage the front wheels 14, thereby stabilizing the folded wagon 10. Thus, the retaining members 16 of the rear frame 13 retain the front wheels 14 in the position shown in fig. 3c and 3d, so that the wagon 10 is balanced in the collapsed position, supported by the handles 18 and the front wheels 14.
To deploy the cart 10 from the fully collapsed position to the fully deployed position, the steps described above may be reversed. Specifically, the holding member 16 of the rear frame 13 is separated from the front wheel 14, then the front frame 11 and the rear frame 13 are separated from each other to the deployed state, and then the handle 18 and the seat 17 are further lifted to the deployed state.
It is understood that the folding and unfolding process of the trolley 10 is not limited to the above-described steps, and may include other alternative or additional steps, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Fig. 4 is an enlarged perspective view of a portion of the cart 10 shown in fig. 3c, with the retaining members 16 of the rear frame 13 engaged with the front wheels 14. FIG. 5 is an enlarged partial cross-sectional view of the retaining member and wheel shown separated from one another; fig. 6 is an enlarged partial sectional view of the retaining member and wheel engaging one another.
In one embodiment, the retaining member 16 may include at least one protrusion 161 for releasably engaging one or more wheels 14 of the front frame 11. Further, the at least one protrusion 161 of the retaining member 16 may releasably engage features of one or more wheels 14 of the front frame 11. This feature may be at least one groove portion 162 formed in one or more wheels 14 of front frame 11, such as a groove in a tire as shown in fig. 4-6.
Referring to fig. 5-6, the projections 161 of the retaining members 16 of the rear frame 13 may engage with the recesses 162 in the tires of the front tires 14 to securely hold the folded front and rear frames 11, 13 together. This engagement of the protrusion with the recess reduces wear between the retaining member and the wheel and is easy for a user to understand and manipulate, for example, without reading the cart specification.
In another embodiment, the retaining member may include at least one recessed portion for releasably engaging one or more wheels of the front frame. Further, the at least one recessed portion of the retaining member may releasably engage features of one or more wheels of the front frame. Wherein the feature may be at least one protrusion formed in one or more wheels of the front frame.
It will be understood that the shape and manner of engagement of the retaining member of the trolley is not limited to the above described embodiments, but may be in any feasible form, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Referring again to the embodiment shown in fig. 1 and 4, the holding member 16 may be provided on an axle of a hub 151 for connecting the wheel 15 of the rear frame 13.
In one embodiment, the retention member 16 may be a separate component assembled to the rear frame 13. For example, the holding member 16 may be a separate member fixed to the rear frame 13 with screws.
In another embodiment, the holding member 16 may be a separate member attached to the rear frame 13. The holding member 16 may be a separate member that is attached to the rear frame 13 with glue, for example.
In other embodiments, the retaining member 16 may also be integrally formed on the rear frame 13.
It will be understood that the manner of arranging the retaining members of the trolley is not limited to the above described embodiments, but may be in any feasible form, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
The above embodiments are merely illustrative. It will be appreciated that variations may be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
