The connecting member according to claim 5, wherein the engaging member comprises a positioning plate and a movable plate, the positioning plate is fixedly disposed at an outer side of at least one of the first connecting plate and the second connecting plate, the movable plate is rotatably connected to the positioning plate, and the locking portion of the movable plate is located in the insertion groove and is engageable with the insertion portion inserted into the insertion groove.
7. A coupling according to claim 1, wherein said first and second engagement portions are in the form of projections extending longitudinally from respective free ends of said first and second plates.
8. The connecting member according to claim 1, wherein the first and second engaging portions are groove-shaped and are formed by inwardly or outwardly protruding free ends of the first and second connecting plates in the respective depth directions.
9. A connecting assembly, characterized in that it is assembled from at least two connecting elements according to any one of claims 1 to 8.

The connecting assembly of claim 9, wherein the connecting assembly comprises two connecting members which are sleeved up and down, the embedding groove of the lower connecting member is arranged at the top end of the connecting member, the outer side wall of the connecting end of the connecting member is higher than the inner side wall of the connecting member, a semi-surrounding type clamping seat is formed at the connecting end of the connecting member, the embedding groove of the upper connecting member is arranged at the central position of the embedding groove, and the connecting member abuts against the clamping seat and is clamped with the lower connecting member.
