Detailed Description
FIG. 1 is a front view of a ceiling suspension, ceiling, and appliance according to one embodiment.
The ceiling suspension 10 according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a fixed member 52A and a moving member 52B.
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the ceiling suspension, ceiling, and appliance of FIG. 1 according to one embodiment.
In a first step, the user connects the electrical wires 58A of the cable 28A extending from the ceiling 12 to the electrical receptacle 56A of the stationary member 52A, the electrical receptacle 56A being secured to the plug 18A of the stationary member 52A.
In a second step, the user secures the top horizontal plane 14A1 of securing member 52A to the ceiling 12 by way of screws 16 disposed horizontally at the end of horizontal plane 14A 1.
In a third step, the user connects the electrical cord 58B of the cable 28B extending from the electrical appliance 54 to the electrical receptacle 56B of the moving member 52B, the electrical receptacle 56B being secured to the receptacle 18B of the moving member 52B.
In a fourth step, referring again to fig. 1, the user slides 60 the receptacle 18B of the moving member 52B horizontally to insert the receptacle 18B into the plug 18A of the stationary member 52A.
Still referring to fig. 1, the fixed member 52A includes another horizontal plane 14a2 disposed below the top horizontal plane 14a1 for supporting the horizontal plane 14B1 of the moving member 52B.
Fig. 3 is a front view of the ceiling suspension of fig. 1 secured to a ceiling and connected to an appliance.
Thus, the horizontal sliding movement 60 of the fourth step supports the horizontal plane 14B1 of the moving member 52B on top of the horizontal plane 14a2 of the fixed member 52A and also causes the receptacle 18B of the moving member 52B to be inserted into the plug 18A of the fixed member 52A.
The horizontal plane 14A2 of stationary member 52A and the horizontal plane 14B1 of movable member 52B may include vertically complementary male (male) and female (female) members, such as the insertion of the vertical male member 34A of stationary member 52A into the vertical female member 34B of movable member 52B for locking the position of fig. 3, just as the removal of movable member 52B requires the lifting of movable member 52B.
The term "horizontal virtual plane" refers herein to at least three points describing a horizontal plane.
Referring again to fig. 2, any one of the horizontal planes 14a1, 14a2, and 14B1 may be virtual. For example, the horizontal plane 14a2 of the fixed member 52A may include points 70a1, 70a2, 70A3, etc. for supporting points 70B1, 70B2, 70B3, etc. as the horizontal plane 14B1 of the moving member 52B.
Referring again to fig. 3, while the flat surface 14a2 of the fixed member 52A is disposed below the flat surface 14B1 of the moving member 52B to support the flat surface 14B1, the electrical instrument 54 is supported by a support point 72, the support point 72 being disposed below the flat surface 14B1 of the moving member 52B and horizontally disposed at the center 20 between the screws 16, such that the electrical instrument 54 is horizontally disposed at the center of the mass to apply a minimum vertical force to the screws 16.
In the embodiment of fig. 1 and 3, although the plane 14a2 of the securing member 52A is disposed below the plane 14B1, the centered arrangement 20 of the support points 72 is obtained by extending the support points 72 from a horizontal plane 14B2 extending from the end 22 of the horizontal plane 14B 1.
In the embodiment of fig. 2, although the plane 14a2 of the fixed member 52A is disposed below the plane 14B1, since the horizontal plane 14B1 is only virtual, a centered disposition of the support point 72 is obtained by extending the support point 72 directly through the horizontal plane 14B 1.
Fig. 4 depicts another suspension of the appliance.
A hole 82 smaller than the top body 42 of the appliance 54 may also be concomitantly installed.
A non-professional person may easily remove any of the appliances 54 including the moving member 52B from the fixed member 52A, thereby connecting any other appliance 54 including the moving member 52B to the fixed member 52A.
Reference numeral 10 denotes a ceiling suspension according to an embodiment of the present invention;
12: a ceiling;
14a1, 14a2, 14B1, 14B 2: third and fourth physical connectors for supporting the moving member 52B by gravity on the fixed member 52A; the connectors may be physical or virtual horizontal planes for mutual support;
16: screws or other fasteners;
18A, 18B: third and fourth electrical connectors, said electrical connectors being male and female electrical connectors;
