Detailed Description
The following description is given by way of example only, and not by way of limitation, of the scope of the invention.
Referring to fig. 1 to 14, which show a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a utility knife 1 of the present invention includes a first housing 10, a second housing 20, a knife holder 30 and a locking mechanism 40.
The first housing is provided with a pivot 11 having an axis 111. The second housing is pivotally connected to the pivot and has a first engaging portion 21. The tool holder is movably accommodated between the first shell and the second shell, and the tool holder can be operated and moved externally. The locking mechanism is disposed through the second housing and does not rotate relative to the pivot, the locking mechanism is preferably coaxial with the pivot, and the locking mechanism can slide axially along the pivot between a locking position (fig. 7 and 12) and a releasing position (fig. 13) and can rotate around the axis, the locking mechanism includes a pressing end 41 capable of moving axially in an external operation and a clamping end 42 linked with the pressing end, and the clamping end is provided with a second clamping portion 421. One of the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion has at least one engaging groove 211, the other has at least one engaging protrusion 422 capable of releasably engaging with the at least one engaging groove, one of the at least one engaging groove and the at least one engaging protrusion includes a first inclined surface 423 inclined with respect to the axis, the other includes an engaging portion 212 engaging with the first inclined surface, so as to stably engage without wobbling, but the engaging groove and the engaging protrusion may have no inclined surface. When the locking and unlocking mechanism is positioned at the locking position and the at least one clamping protrusion is embedded with the at least one clamping groove, the second shell cannot rotate relative to the first shell; when the locking mechanism is located at the releasing position, the at least one locking protrusion and the at least one locking groove are disengaged from each other, and the second housing can rotate around the locking mechanism relative to the first housing (fig. 5 and 13). Thereby, the blade 100 can be replaced quickly and safely.
One of the pressing end and the engaging end has at least one engaging hole 411, and the other has at least one engaging arm 424 engaging with the engaging holes. Preferably, the second housing further includes at least one guide slot 213 extending around the axis, and the at least one locking arm is rotatably disposed through the at least one guide slot around the axis. Each of the guide slots includes a wide section 214 that widens radially outward to facilitate the insertion of the snap arm. In this embodiment, the peripheral wall of the pressing end is provided with two fastening holes, the fastening end is provided with two fastening arms, the end of each fastening arm is provided with a hook 425, the second housing is provided with two guide slots, and each fastening arm passes through one guide slot and then is hooked in one fastening hole by the hook (fig. 6 and 8). The second housing can stably and smoothly rotate around the two clamping arms through the two guide grooves.
In this embodiment, the second housing has the at least one protrusion, the engaging end has the at least one engaging groove, the at least one protrusion includes a plurality of ribs 426 extending in a radial direction, and the at least one engaging groove includes a plurality of grooves 215 (which may be configured as a protrusion and a plurality of grooves) extending in a radial direction and releasably engaged with the plurality of ribs, so as to increase the engaging effect and the multi-stage positioning. The abutting portion includes a second inclined surface 216 capable of abutting against the first inclined surface, the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface have substantially the same inclination with respect to the axis, the depth of the engaging groove is greater than the height of the engaging protrusion (fig. 7), however, the inclination of the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface with respect to the axis may be different, so as to ensure that the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface are stably engaged against each other without shaking. The locking and unlocking mechanism further includes an elastic element 43 sleeved on the pivot and elastically abutted between the first housing and the abutting end to ensure that the abutting portion is reliably and stably abutted against the first inclined surface.
One of the first and second shells is provided with at least one spring fastener 50 in a protruding manner, and the other is provided with at least one concave 51 which can be positioned with the at least one spring fastener in a releasable manner. One of the first and second housings further includes at least one through hole 52 for accommodating the at least one spring clip, and a cover 53 for covering the at least one through hole. In this embodiment, the first housing is provided with the through hole, a clamping member 54 and a resilient member 55 of the at least one spring clamping member can be easily assembled in the through hole, and the spring clamping member can be simply sealed by the cover member (fig. 14) without additionally necking the through hole. The second housing further includes a slot 22, the tool holder is provided with a limiting member 31 (fig. 10 and 11) extending toward the second housing and being capable of entering and exiting the slot, the tool holder is capable of moving between a tool-out position and a tool-in position relative to the first housing; when the tool apron is located at the tool retracting position (as shown in fig. 10), the limiting member moves out of the slot and does not interfere with the second housing in a rotating direction of the second housing, and when the locking and unlocking mechanism is located at the releasing position, the second housing can rotate around the locking and unlocking mechanism relative to the first housing; when the tool seat moves towards the tool discharging position (as shown in fig. 11), the limiting member moves into the slot, and the second housing cannot rotate relative to the first housing. Therefore, the second shell can be rotated under the condition that the blade is not exposed, and the user is prevented from being injured.
Preferably, the first housing further has a magnetically attractable member 60 (fig. 2 and 3), and the magnetically attractable member and the tool holder are magnetically attracted relative to each other. At least one of the magnetically attractable element and the tool holder is magnetic, for example, the magnetically attractable element is a magnet, the tool holder includes a magnetic metal material, and the magnetically attractable element can magnetically attract the tool holder, so that the tool holder can be retained on the first housing without being randomly detached when the blade is removed. One of the first and second shells can be provided with a stop edge 12 capable of stopping the other shell, so as to ensure the closed position of the first and second shells, and preferably, the other shell is provided with a notch 23 or a stop shoulder (figure 2) capable of accommodating the stop edge, so that the appearance is smoother.
The above description is the preferred embodiment of the present invention and the technical principle applied by the same, and for those skilled in the art, without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention, any obvious changes such as equivalent transformation, simple replacement, etc. based on the technical solution of the present invention all belong to the protection scope of the present invention.
