The columnar signal transmitting unit (2) is mainly used for transmitting infrared or laser signals in an uninterrupted section, mainly plays a role of guiding, provides working face boundary guiding signals for the coal mining machine (6), and is required to be automatically turned at two ends of a return airway and a transportation lane of the working face, so that the columnar signal transmitting unit (2) is required to be installed at the positions (2) corresponding to hydraulic supports (5) and (12) on the sides of the transportation lane and the return airway at the two ends of the working face, is used for continuously transmitting the guiding signals and appoints a boundary range for the coal mining machine (6).

The columnar signal receiving unit (1) is mainly fixed at the position, opposite to the columnar signal transmitting unit (2), of the rear part of the working face coal mining machine (6) in a straight line, and the coal mining machine (6) needs to be automatically turned around at two ends of a return airway and a transportation airway of a working face, so that the columnar signal receiving unit (1) needs to be respectively installed at hydraulic oil cylinders (11) corresponding to the hydraulic support (5) and the hydraulic support (12) at two end sides of the coal mining machine (6) and used for receiving boundary guide signals transmitted by the columnar signal transmitting unit (2).
When the coal mining machine (6) starts to cut coal along the direction from the return airway to the transportation lane of the scraper conveyor (4), the columnar signal transmitting units (2) on the hydraulic supports (5) and (12) at the two ends of the working face continuously transmit infrared or laser working face boundary guiding signals. When the coal mining machine (6) travels to the boundary of the working face on one side of the haulage roadway, the columnar signal receiving unit (1) arranged on the machine head side of the coal mining machine (6) receives the vertical boundary guide signal of the columnar signal transmitting unit (2). At the moment, the columnar signal receiving unit (1) transmits signals to the singlechip (7) connected with the columnar signal receiving unit, the singlechip (7) processes the signals, and then the reverse turning of the coal mining machine (6) is realized by controlling a power motor of the coal mining machine (8). And after the coal cutter (6) turns around reversely, coal cutting is started along the scraper conveyor (4) from the direction of the return airway of the haulage roadway. The columnar signal transmitting units (2) on the hydraulic supports (12) and (5) at the two ends of the working face continuously transmit infrared or laser guide signals. When the coal mining machine (6) travels to the boundary of the working face at one side of the return airway, the columnar signal receiving unit (1) arranged at the tail side of the coal mining machine (6) can receive the vertical boundary guide signal of the columnar signal transmitting unit (2). At the moment, the columnar signal receiving unit (1) transmits signals to the singlechip (7) connected with the columnar signal receiving unit, the singlechip (7) processes the signals, and then the reverse turning of the coal mining machine (6) is realized by controlling a power motor of the coal mining machine (8), so that the circular reciprocating motion is realized.
The columnar signal transmitting unit (2) and the columnar signal receiving unit (1) are respectively a columnar signal transmitting unit (2) and a columnar signal receiving unit (1) which are composed of a plurality of signal transmitting sensors and a plurality of signal receiving sensors.
Specifically, the columnar signal transmitting unit (2) is fixed at the lower parts of the hydraulic supports (5) at the end heads of the two sides of the working face and the front hydraulic oil cylinder (11) of the hydraulic support (12), the supporting height of the hydraulic supports (5) and (12) can be increased or reduced along with the increase or reduction of the mining height, the columnar signal transmitting unit (2) can be located at the highest position (9) or the lowest position (10), the columnar signal transmitting unit (2) can transmit laser or infrared signals along a direction perpendicular to the columnar signal transmitting unit, and no matter the columnar signal transmitting unit (2) is located at the lowest position (10) or the highest position (9), the columnar signal transmitting unit (2) and the columnar signal receiving unit (1) are partially overlapped to ensure the timely transmission of boundary guide signals.
